Yeah. The time from the end of Confed Cup to the start of preseason play is already BRUTAL! And it's only been a few day!

You're right. This IS a harder league than La Liga for sure. But i'm still a fighting supporter. I want to be the best by beating the best. We could always have some great matches at the end in various tournaments. But I don't want the easy way out of anything. It's just no fun that way.

I just wish we had a great end of season match against Man United in April or May. I love those matches against them at the end. I can see the merits of having an easy ending to help with UCL and or FA Cup potentially. But I still love the fight.

So how does everyone feel about the upcoming EPL fixtures? I'm disappointed we don't have a good end of the year match against Man United. But some people on another Chelsea chat I was on earlier seem relieved! Do we not want to be a fighting club? I will celebrate hard if we win the league with an easy April/May, don't get me wrong. But I don't want the easy route to greatness.

I think we have a Dallas supporters group, but they seem to meet in deep north Dallas. Do know of anyone that watches matches closer to downtown. I go over to Trinity Hall sometimes, but i'm typically the only Chelsea supporter there when i've gone.

I just got home from work. I'm excited to be off tomorrow and get to watch the matches. Hopefully this whole Cavani meeting that's apparently happening tomorrow will come to fruition as well......

Barbara, you know I love you. But a good tip for American etiquette is to never call a southerner a yankee. ha. We take a special kind of offense to that. But yes, you're welcome here anytime. And I really do need to visit Brazil. Also all proper Texans can handle our spicy foods just fine. ha. We actually differentiate here between Texas spicy and Yankee spicy. .....I might need to reevaluate my statement on heat. Brazilian spicy could be a bit more intense than what i'm used to. But i'd for sure try it.

Agreed on champagne. A fun fact is that to technically BE champagne, the product in question MUST be produced in the Champagne region of France. Similar to how other countries and regions of Mexico produce "tequila" but true tequila must be produced IN Tequila. Grape juice is also pretty legit, but I don't seem to buy it often. And I am a non smoker, although I do enjoy a nice cigar now and again.... I think it could be interesting to see this drunk version of Barbara. Well, maybe just a pleasantly tipsy version...... I've not heard of that guarańa drink, but I feel I should look it up..... I actually didn't technically cook tonight. I stirred some extra spices and whatnot into a pre made hummus and just had that with some chopped up carrots and celery. And yes, you should let me know how that turns out when you cook it.

Yeah we can! I love a nice glass of wine/vodka/whiskey/beer after work. But i'm also a soda aficionado. Which kind are you enjoying this evening? Also can't get mad at fresh bread. Ha, and yes, of course I love my cooking. I've been around the food business and have been taught to love it for as long as I can remember.

I'm a long way from sleep also. I got off pretty early but got stuck in line for AGES at the grocery trying to get some cat food, vegetables, and wine. Now i'm at the apartment partaking in said wine and watching some cooking competition shows.

Hello forum! My name is Dustin and I live in Dallas Texas. I've been supporting Chelsea for years but only just found this forum on the recommendation of Bluefire. I also enjoy watch the Mexican league a lot as of the last year. But uncommonly for this area I don't care about any of the American sports except for hockey. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and getting active on this forum.

I would agree. Not much to lose giving a striker a chance that we've already bought. I think even if we get Cavani or whoever i'd love to see Lukaku get some matches next season.
