Oh my. I'm so happy to wake up this morning and find so much more support for Wazaa and The Zlatan! Glad i'm not the only one on board with those greats! I was getting deeply concerned that I might be the only one who doesn't believe in putting a player out to pasture just because they are over 28 years old......

I don't understand the house musics. But i've always been much more into experimental jazz than electronic anyway.....

He'll be 32 in early October. He's for sure not a good long term plan. But he still has at least another season or two of good football in him. And we could definitely use the depth he'd add.

I'm not sure most of that would work out man.

I'm curious about Shirley as well. I guess it's monday, I'm too lazy and sleep to go through all the threads I haven't checked in three days Yeah. I'm sure we'll find out soon enough. I know we're less than two weeks out from the first pre season match.

AGREED! I'd LOVE to see The Zlatan playing for us!
-
Lol what the actual fuck!! Too much face palm! Yep...........
-
I'm not sure about when they start training. But I'll be stoked to see the progress as well. Can't wait to see Schürlle play his first match with us also!

Two more hours of work!

Nope until, i see him on the side line and in the press conferences in the Chelsea jacket it won't properly sink in. Agreed. Still sinking in here as well.

That vodka is good. But the price is insane for the quality. At the discount liquor store in Dallas it costs $53 for a 1.75L bottle. I can get a 1.75 of Ketel One for $35 or Prarie Organic for $27 both of which I feel are as good or better. But it really depends what style of vodka i'm in the mood for. Ciroc is still the only grape derived vodka i'd drink.

SO MANY GIFS!

Right. I'm going to have a hard time believing this is settled until he's up on one of the clubs sites.

I'm reading now that Cavani won't make a decision until he returns from holiday with his family. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12040/8799977/Transfer-news-Edinson-Cavani-quiet-over-future-following-Chelsea-speculation

Interesting read. I'd still love him in blue though. I think if he were a player coming from a different league more people would be on board. When Lampard's future was up in the air and he was linked with United there were a lot of United supporters who had the same attitude of not wanting Lampard seemingly just because he's such an icon for Chelsea. It's always tough to pick up a player from such a rival team. But sometimes it can be worth it.

Better Rooney than a lot of the other options.

It's not over yet! It's just time to shit or get off the pot one might say. The club needs to make a firm decision and go with it in the next day or two. PSG I don't think will waste as much time. If they money is equal I think we are by far a superior choice to PSG. They have a good squad, I enjoy watching them and won't take anything away from what they've done. But Chelsea still has a more alluring group of players to play with and a more alluring league to play in.

Well. To be fair, if someone predicts everything they're bound to get at least a few things right.

Thanks! I've missed talking with you as well. Crazy few weeks.

Johnny Kills is a nickname for Juan Mata has picked up with fellow Chelsea players and supporters. Apparently one of the other players figured out that Juan Mata roughly translated from Catalan to English is Johnny Kills. I think it would be cool to have it above the #10 on a shirt to see how many people know what it was about. For sure could be a cool conversation starter at new pubs.

Perhaps I should have clarified. I am all for our youth system. I love the younger signings we've made in the past few years and have always been very vocal of supporting Oscar in the first team, bringing Lukaku back to The Bridge, and other youth supporting opinions. But I think a smart manager also knows that sometimes you need to plug a gap for the short term. I'm not saying to bet it all on Cavani being the future of the club. I think that can be with players we already have. But our men up front just aren't scoring enough to be at the highest level. As a past, present, and future supporter I think it's important to have a good mixture of respect for the past success, passion and hunger for current success, and vision as to who will help us obtain future success. Look at United bringing RVP in so arguably late in his career. People questioned it and made several of the same arguments we've made against Cavani. But it worked.

There very well could be hidden clauses that we are all unaware of. I just want to see us make a statement signing. An intention to realistically compete for England and Europe again. I know we will get disappointed by not getting players and trophies we want. That's just part of supporting anyone competing for so many things and so many signatures at all times. But I see this decline in attitude from so many that scares me. I'm not saying here persay, as i'm a new and irregular poster. I just don't want to see us wind up as liverpool or even arsenal are now.

I didn't think Cavani had third party ownership. I think Napoli is just keeping the price high because they know they can in today's football wage climate. It's a win win for the club. They figure either Chelsea, City, PSG, or Real will eventually crack and pay the required buyout clause. If not they keep him. I don't know that i'd be happy with Gomez or Soldado. Not that I think they are bad by any means, but they would be obvious last choice picks the same as Ba was. Whilst they could realistically do better than Ba, I think it will just send the wrong message about the club. Regardless of winning back to back European trophies I think many of our supporters and organization need to accept that fact that we have become a bit of a joke with all the insanity and instability in the past few years. I myself don't always mind being hated, it only makes the victories more sweet. But at the same time I think Roman realized we needed a morale boost. BIG TIME. And to send a message that the games are over and we are a serious club and a serious threat in any tournament or league we enter. Bringing back Mourinho was step one, I think the purchase of a world class striker to lead our attack will only reassure the supporters even more. Roman is a Chelsea fan and he'll want to see us win and be taken more seriously.

Monaco is the only one that is avoiding the tax situation over there. And rumors are suggesting they want to add The Zlatan to their already crazy team. I love The Zlatan. But he's kind of a mercenary. He'll go to Monaco if they money is right. And PSG will need to replace him thus the need for Cavani. I understand the mindset of not wanting to get held hostage for extreme wages and big time reservations after the Torres fiasco. But if we wait too long we'll likely miss out on Cavani, Lewandoski, and even Rooney.
