there's absolutely no pressure to win... I think Mourinho will give him decent time... There would be no pressure on them - or him, but I like Viper22's argument that we need the win for moral reasons. Not that I think RLC would compromise that...
-
why? there's nothing at stake here... the scoreline is irrelevant
-
is it me, or Costa looks younger (to his standards)? lol Cahill is becoming painful to watch... so many mistakes every single match...
-
Look who found his scoring boots

Well, Mourinho just rested Matic. Cesc will rest this weekend. I'm happy to see Azpili and Luis playing together, I want to see what happens. Happy to see Oscar and Hazard rested (maybe even Willian) and we have Zouma in the defense. Sorry if I can't complain about the lack of youth. It seems just like the right tests to make. If the boys are good enough, they'll make it here. It isn't a few dead rubbers or domestic cup games that will change it. complaining, moaning and criticizing players (except youth) and the manager is the new black on the forum. Did they forget to send you the memo?

tbh after that line I didn't bother to read the rest of the post, so maybe I'm at fault. Still Cesc has been leading our tackles in the latest matches and is the player that runs the most in the pitch in the whole competition. He's the most advanced pivot player, he doesn't need to be an ace defensively. It's been a while since we've conceded because of him. He's doing fine. We can't expect a player of his creativity and vision to also be the best defensive midfielder... he isn't even remotely as bad defending as the myth some have been spreading. Actually he isn't even bad at defending.

OMG!!!!! I can't believe I read in this thread someone saying Torres is better than Costa - no matter what they're referring to. Some people are just unbelievable. I stand by my words. Some of you make me embarrassed of being a Chelsea fan.
-
you just called the guy who's always showed he's hungry to win and who has 11 assists for us in the EPL the team weakest link... that isn't even about having an opinion, that's just downright stupid. How can a guy that runs the most in the ENTIRE LEAGUE, tackles everywhere (he even led the statistic in one weekend) and continues to assist as crazy the weakest link? Sorry, it makes no sense. I don't understand people that don't like him, but I accept it. Everyone can like whoever they want. But he improved us, his stats speak for himself. You can call him whatever shit you want, the weakest link isn't one of them. That's plain BS
-
crazy, completely, utterly, unmistakably crazy - unless you really mean you and not him... got confused by your grammar
-
Then people get offended when rivals fans call us plastic. This thread is a perfect picture of that. Players are entitled to go through difficult patches. You guys never value and support players. Only come to be supportive of players, manager and team when it's all peachy. You make me embarrassed of being a Chelsea fan because you give our support a bad name
-
well, now it's done
-
We actually need Remy...
-
and then I said Zouma has been better than Cahill, it was said it was a stretch
-
I can't bloody believe it
-
Mete a bola na rede, peloamordeDeus!!!!!!
-
FML Willian!!!!!! You need to start bagging those bloody chances.Hazard was amazing again
-
My post was before that, but it was beautiful, and now we broke again with Cesc, Willian and Costa. We're slowly starting to create spaces
-
Oscar has been amazing. All times we broke through their defense it was because he found a teammate with a good pass. Other than that, we've been stuck on their marking... everyone will park the bus against us, won't them?
-
video games... turning little boys into war heroes, alien warriors, or players that score against Chelsea. Let the fantasy go on.
-
the power he put on the shot made it nearly impossible to be stopped. He did well. Most of Costa goals are like that if you look closely. They're a bit deflected, but the power assures they get in.

Maybe release the chat feature for True Blues - we did the chat thing for match days, I guess some liked and some didn't, but if the feature can be released to people who subscribe. Sometimes you just want to discuss about football instead of writing posts, you know? The communication flows better. I can't donate until I travel to my mom's. My credit card expired and it's been sent there to be released in the bank - there. Good thing I'm going there in a couple of weeks. When I unblock it, I'll donate. I can't believe my latest donation actually came in June...

if you could try to understand what people are saying instead of deciding in your head what is and what is not, you would have understood I meant that Salah and Schurrle need to step up and give him competition, so he feels the pressure to produce more to keep his position. The only one needing to rewatch matches or maybe take a mini-course about football during vacation is you. More often than not is hard to agree with whatever you say related to any player, any situation, anything. It's not only about Oscar and Willian. If you take that course - go to France - you'd know that Willian has played most of his life as #10 and that people are begging for Hazard to have a chance there. Hazard doesn't have the necessary workrate for Mourinho to change his mind, but Willian does. Still Oscar is there. Oscar has had ups and downs, you make sure to ignore all the ups and hold onto the downs. Even lionsden who admittedly doesn't like Oscar said he's seen improvement on him this season, because seriously, only a blind can't see it. Or someone who doesn't want to see.

Seriously, was I the only one seeing Willian misplacing a few (at least three) easiest ever passes? Oscar does it too, but Willian misplaces easy passes sometimes and most of the time he destroys the counter he set up by himself. He runs, dribbles, leave some opponents behind him, then he doesn't know what to do. As a consequence, normally he loses the ball, kills the counter advantage or has a bad shot. Those are his weaknesses, I don't think it's a crime to point them out. I'm not advocating we should sign someone else or drop him, but he definitely needs competition for the position so he feels like he really needs to start offering something else. As others said, Oscar can offer what he does defensively and Cesc has been quite brilliant in that aspect lately. What we need is someone to make us more objective and deadly in front of the goal as, except for our strikers (thank God for them), no one has been really that accurate finishing for us.

The thing is with Rami battered - don't let me start about him in the RW, but José likes - Schurrle having WC hangover and Salah somewhere over the rainbow, Willian can afford those matches. And as he works so hard, he's cementing his place on Mourinho's likeness. He's another Azpilicueta in the making. Don't get me wrong, I love Azpili (Willian too - I love everyone really ), but he - as well as Willian - are so frustrating attacking. They offer real to nothing when it comes to real goal threat. So one goal here, an assist there, but as they work very work - in the pitch and training - Mourinho won't drop them, but willian needs competition in the position. We don't have the attack fire power we showed early in the season.

5/8 tackles, 0 interceptions, 2 clearances according to Opta.
