we gave them the ball and they didn't do much from it - which is why we kept giving it. I don't see a problem with this approach, it worked well and people will be moaning (when don't they?) about the possession stat, but when you don't allow the opposition to do much with the possession what's the big sin with giving it, even if we play at home. We have a thin bench now, thiner than ever, we don't have the best striker option to lead our attack, why not? With all that possession they only had 2 shots on target - the same as us. Yes, the Rooney and the Falcao chances were close, but well, they weren't goals and we also had two very close chances with Hazard and Drogba. De Gea should have been sent off, we should have won easily if we had a better striker and we're leading the league by TEN points. Win the next two and we're mathematically champions. I really don't know why people complain so much. We could play better, but the players are tired, there's a lot of pressure (because they know better than anyone that they're far, far away from their best showed this season) and we don't have options. So why not just be happy we're about to be champions? There hasn't been half the praise around the time we were destroying the league in the first half of the season than there's moaning now. I agree with mild criticism about players' performances, about some of Mourinho's choices, but the problem with the criticism is that feels overboard. You approach all games in the smartest way, regardless of where, against who. We may have not approached in the smartest of all, but it was a smart approach either way. I NEVER for one minute, felt like United would win today. Do people that complain so much about the way we played felt like that? Because I'm trying hard to feel it, but I just can't.

they said we don't win big matches this season
-
Ramires, grow a brain!!!!!! hold the ball, let them foul you, waste time!!!!! what a pointless cross
-
entering the last 10 minutes (or 20 because we all know Dean will find some extra time to be added) of the match we should try to hold possession, exchange passes in their half... time to let go of the counter-attack tactic, which for me, was okay.
-
I really didn't mean you... for real. Twitter, whatsapp
-
he's been improving. He's much better than he was a month ago. He's just a bit inconsistent now
-
Mike Dean really taking the piss now, isn't he?
-
some think he had a very good match, I'd say okay match
-
no ex-players curse today I feel like some of our fans wanted to see it happen and Mata to score or assist.
-
didn't say he was bad, he just wasn't good enough... made more pass mistakes than I'd like to see and wasn't that solid in the marking. Very good moments and bad moments mixed throughout the whole match
-
nobody will convince me Matic had a good match today. Nobody
-
had we had Remy or Costa, this game was already put to bed He's trying his best, the problem is his best currently is far from decent
-
DD needs to be subbed off of this match asap.
-
No, because he fits well in the team. If we get 30m for him we risk spending on another Cuadrado. We don't need to sell him to make money. Why risk? We have tons of players to sell to make money. He doesn't need to be exchange money. Let him stay there and get the player you guys believe we need... if we were in need of money, I'd agree, but we're not.
-
hasn't played well (or at his best) for months. I'm not talking about today, but today has been the same of the last months - regardless of Zouma.
-
70% of possession and not one single shot on target.
-
I am telling we shouldn't (and won't) sell him. If he's not first team material, he's the kind of player we need in our hopeless bench.
-
100% agree, but I feel some others are the same. I even mentioned it in my previous post, but the worst in that aspect for most time has been Oscar.
-
Matic really hasn't recovered his best form yet. That's one of the reasons we look vulnerable imo... when he protects our average defense, he makes it look better, but when he isn't as sharp it exposes their limitations (which aren't few). I think we played a smart game, we shouldn't be allowing them to win so much the second balls (we clearly have the physical and even numerical advantage), but I feel our players aren't going with their 110% in the duels. Sometimes they man-watch instead of closing the space and tackling. I don't know if they do it because they're confident that's how they'll end up with a counter-attack (and we were unlucky in 2-3 occasions when the ball just missed our players in the counter) or if they're tired, either way, that's the only reason why United dominated possession and had some control over the game. Still they haven't produced much. I think we produced as much dangerous occasions (or maybe more) than they had. Clear handball by de Gea too. But well, it's not like we should expect any favors (favors = doing their job) from the officials...
-
the pass in that counter Iva was fouled but we had the advantage, the one with de Gea handball was by oscar... it wasn't the only thing he's done, but as I said in his thread, the script for comments about him regardless of how the match goes is set before the ball rolls. You're normally fair, but it's so easy to forget what he does for everyone...
-
fuck yeah, vai tomar no cu HATERS and MOANERS Oscar HAZARD!!!!!
-
now that we have a moaning thread, why the bunch of you already moaning don't go there instead of filling this thread with the same you fill every single thread of the forum. It's not like we don't know Mourinho is a coward, has no balls, wants the team to play bad, is clueless and bla bla bla? That's downright moaning, no analysis involved, no discussion involved... there's a thread for that, go there and shine.
-
Oscar - the one Mourinho is dying to sell and who he never plays in big matches is starting ahead of Willian and Ramires against United... that's my cue not to come back to TC today, regardless of the result and regardless of how he plays. If we lose, it's on him, if we win, it's despite of him, if we draw it's his fault. If he plays bad, all of the same, if he plays well, at least we'll be able to fool someone to pay big money on him come a few months. Yeah, I already know the whole script for this thread, regardless of what happens.

Actually I don't think any of Schurrle, Mata, de Bruyne, Luiz and co. had signed extensions under Mourinho, that's one difference imo. Mourinho also said many times Hazard and Ramires wouldn't be sold (said about Oscar last season too)and answering sort of the same way. So people are holding at straws. Whether he or any other player will be sold has nothing to do with Jose's rebuttal to press speculation during interviews. The main selling clue imo is when the players is displaced from the main team, doesn't like to stay so much in the bench, asks to leave and someone comes with a good offer. Oscar just said he's happy here and don't plan to leave DESPITE being on the bench. He addressed that he understands sometimes Mourinho wants something different from him or from the team and said that although it bothers him he's okay with it and will continue to try to contribute his best. If Oscar changes his mind in the future or if is lying now is what will indicate his leave, not Mourinho. We've never seen Oscar throwing tantrums...

Homegrown, young, incredible goalscorer... why should we sell him at all, especially for a not significant amount? The board will look very stupid if they do that. They can do that about foreign players, but HG players don't make any sense. He may not make it here (personally I think he could), but a permanent transfer should only be taken into consideration a few years down the road - right now this is unthinkable.
