I wonder you guys didn't have this sort of discussion last year did you? Oh we should start with Moses. No, we should definitely start with Kevin. Are you kidding me? Oscar is the one that should start. Nah, I guess we could have Schürrle. Not only those discussions are so nice to have - at least I love to discuss about my player preferences and tactics and stuff - but look at the kind of discussion we are having!!!!! Only in this example I gave very 4 likely guys to start for different reasons. Doesn't it feel like heaven? The wonders of squad depth are the best and promote so many great discussions on forums. I think we should cheer to that alone so Cheers buddies!

don't know where to post it, so here it is. This is so funny. In the the first gif it seems like they're dancing salsa and then the following one starting a ballet move. I'm so silly edit: Also Mou with Silvino

it's not those posts. I also don't believe he will ever be what he was. Actually I don't believe he will even improve considerably under Mourinho (although you won't see me saying it every other week). It's not about the prospect, but the stressing and laughs and jokes and the let's-make-Torres-look-worse-than-he-is and go mute when he does something good. ITA about his prospect hence why I said our strike force sucks (relatively).

the things I read in this thread Torres sucks, no one will scream this louder than me. Still he's the best (or the less worse) option we have. I want to see people here blaming Lukaku, Eden, Kevin, André who had all missed sitters before when they do it again while our defence gives away 2-0 margins like in the Juventus match... It doesn't matter how many goals we score if we concede just as many or even more. And pls, one of those QPR matches was a horror show. Bring in Messi to score us the winner and we would still look bad for struggling so much against a side everyone but us raped throughout the season. Torres was at fault. He continues to be at fault. But Ba didn't fit in (yet or never is still to be known). Lukaku is still raw. Add limited (one - maybe two - pony trick) and clumsy to that and we already have problem. But that's not only all... only a blind (or delusional denial) can't see he's already feeling the pressure (been nervous, erratic, and even stupid in some of this decisions in the past 3 matches). The goal he did score was going to be far well wide had the defender not blocked it and pushed the ball into the net. And let's not forget the boy is 20! I don't expect a 20yo boy to solve a problem we've had FOR YEARS. Drogba did win that UCL for us, along with Cech and our defence, but look at his stats (actually all our strikers') on EPL lately. It's been hideous, but I'll spare you the work. Didier: 2010/11: 11G, 13A (the assists were fair decent, I'll give that); 2011/12 5G, 1A. In both seasons our top scorer in the league had respectively 13G 4A and 11G 3A. Didier is a genius though and a special guy who scored capital goals for us, but it doesn't change the fact we've had strikers issues for years now. And if a finished product (of highest quality) doesn't come until September 2nd we'll continue to have for at least another season... So if Rooney whoever doesn't come, sorry to inform, we'll have to continue to rely mainly on Torres (and that's progress from relying only on him) because Lukaku isn't ready as all of you here seem to believe. The same argument used for people celebrating when Torres scores - I really don't get why we shouldn't... it doesn't matter if it's out of pity, anger, sadness or whatever, he plays with a Chelsea shirt of course I'm going to celebrate it! Was I suppose to be mad or hate it? - applies to expecting Lukaku to save the day: it's because we pity ourselves. Well, or so at least I feel like most people have their hopes high about a 20yo that is definitely not ready for the same reason. We use those things to comfort ourselves about the obvious and awful truth: our attack force is poor for a team our level. Just compare us to both Man teams, Arsenal and even Liverpool. They have at least one guy that goes there and gets the ball in when they need it. Most of them have more than one quality guy to do that. Last season we didn't have this guy, right now we continue not to have this guy. The good news is that last season in addition to that, we had our defence gifting goals away and hopefully now it'll be a different story. So yeah, it makes me really disappointed (on the board, Roman, etc...) that we'll probably play another season with the same issue we've been having for a few years while they seem to watch idly or simply not get the right guy. I do hope to be wrong about Lukaku though. I do hope he gets over the emotional barrier is clear he has now and that he improves in a few areas enough to give us a fair amount of goals. Because without both things he will be Torres 2.0 (scoring some goals, but maybe not the ones we need him to score) for the simply fact that it's damn right tougher scoring in a team like Chelsea than in a team like West Brom because opponents don't play as deep against the likes of Brom as they do against a team that has the attacking midfield we have. Teams don't 'respect' or fear WBA as they respect and fear us, especially when there's a tactician in our dugout... and that tactician alone makes the opposition get a deeper and heavier lineup because they don't want to be surprised by great tactics. Add Hazard, Mata, KDB, André and even Moses and Oscar to the mix and of course they'll come to us as closed and tight as a virgin. I wonder how Lukaku will do against that compared to looser opposition he played while in West Brom. There were already many of you moaning about Real Madrid (!) and Roma having good defenders marking him... yeah... because that's not how most teams play against us, is it? And moaning about having defenders marking a striker is such a poor excuse. It's the striker's responsibility to work it around and get things done. That's what separates a top potential and a top talent to use the words José did earlier this season. So if some of you excused Lukaku ghost appearances in those matches (and also Milan's) I wonder if you're prepared to use the same excuse for about 20 of our fixtures on EPL... or will you turn against the boy in let's say 10 rounds from now? I want to believe Lukaku will solve our problems, just like you all already do. I just think it's far fetched. As much as Mourinho fixing Torres is. At the end of the day our striking force sucks. The only positive thing about it is that in a couple of years Lukaku could be the definite answer to that. He isn't now though. So I'm preparing myself to rely on Eden, Kevin, Lamps, Mata, Oscar, André, etc... because those guys will probably get us 40-50 goals and those might be the ones that will save the day. I do hope Torres, Lukaku and Ba score what we need to. I don't care who the fuq scores because they all play in Blue, so the guy I'm clapping to is indifferent. Sometimes I feel like 80% of this forum wants (and takes pleasure in) Torres to fail because there are other few explanations left to stress and laugh (and sometimes even celebrate) at his failure... one would think it isn't Chelsea failing...

then do it dartboard style there must be a few faces you want to dart away

what, did and JayC leave? But I like them so much! And I agree that at this point is not even about making a point about ManUtd luck, corruption, quality or whatever. It's just the repetition of something that has been said too many like a broken record... Good thing there's football tomorrow, people! Then all those discussions will end and we'll laugh at ManUtd's expense together as I think they'll struggle a bit in the beginning if their manager is already moaning about fixtures - although in the same breath he admits that it's the same for everyone because at the end of the day you play everybody away and home Can he decide if it's suspicious/unfair or indifferent? what games are you guys watching in addition to Chelsea? I'm one of those people that watch all matches they actually broadcast and as in Brazil we have two channels (Fox and ESPN) covering EPL every week we have Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, and both Manchester team matches and if I'm not wrong Spurs too (if not they show the great majority of it). All of them, every week (even if they're at the same time, because the channels take turns so one week for example ESPN shows CFC, Arse, Liv while Fox shows ManU, ManC and Spurs) As tomorrow is my last holiday day with bf and mom, I won't watch footie, but I'll watch both Sunday matches and probably ManC on Monday too.

my kitbag order was lost somewhere between England and Brazil. Good for me I guess as I changed the order completely. I had a woman's away kit with Hazard # and a plain home kids kit. Now I have a plain home kids' kit (what? I'm small!!!) and a 3rd Oscar kids kit This time I hope the order actually reaches me. At least they refunded me without any complaints

I've changed my team like a thousand times... while boyfriend was getting ready for dinner - and trust me he takes longer showering than I do, I've changed this thing a million times. Good thing I won't be able to change again. I had Robin who will score me all the FW goals. Then I had Long - a so-so and Lambert that is decent. For 0.5 I've changed Long for KDB and instead of having a $4.5 dummy in the midfield, now I have a $4.5 dummy in the attack. Until I come back home later today and spend the whole night changing this so I have a completely different team tomorrow, this is the team of the hour (or in my case of the minute, hahaha) The dummy in the attack is so dummy that the moment I took the snapshot I haven't even picked him. It's probably going to be a nobody with more minutes than all the others 4.5 guys Foster Zaba - Terry - Per KDB - Eden - Michu - Theo Robin - Dummy4.5 - Lambert HA!

it's only fair I post mine here too

you're both missing the point, lads. Swansea is just after Hull for a reason. Those are the people betting against Chelsea and ManUtd... not really betting on Hull and Swansea Is it going to be broadcast somewhere? Chelsea TV or else?
-
I don't have a clue of the first thing, Ankit I tried to convince my brother to join - he said he forgets to update his team way too often - and when he asked me if it was like the one we have in Brazil for our league I couldn't say. I thought the main thing was to make money - having a valuable team, but he explained me that it's probably the case of receiving points based on the players' performance. Then I decided to read the entire help section... He was right and I'm still the most clueless person playing this ever. But I've got the team I want to play the entire season with. I'll do two changes in two weeks for now - coincidentally when Chelsea won't play - to settle that team and I'll only use the first wildcard if I do really bad or if there's this one player that I paid a lot for that became a liability as you said. Otherwise I only plan to do changes in the January window if it affects my team too much. I will follow it weekly, but I decided to face it more realistically and pretend if my team was a real club I wouldn't have the chance to keep adding players every week. I know it makes no sense to think like that, but as I said, if I do really, really, really bad, I'll use the wildcard to set up a new team. Do you want to see my team and see if I'm not embarrassedly too off the mark? And don't copy me if for some sort of miracle it's a good one.

Another evidence of Mourinho's power. Daily Mail's predictions about who will win English and European titles next season: The start of the new Premier League season is here... so it's time for our experts to put their necks on the line It makes me smile to see Mourinho's name in basically all of them who chose Chelsea
-
My defence was the only part I would have top teams only players I think our defence will be the best in the league under Mourinho... I'll sack Mertesacker for someone cheaper so I can afford Ivan My starting XI is 2 Chelsea (gave Carzola up to have Terry), 2 Arsenal, 1 Swansea, 1 West Ham, 1 ManU, 1 Sunderland, 1 West Brom, 1 Southampton and 1 ManC
-
don't crash my dreams like that, K! I worked around my budget and I ended up with only Hazard and I'm quite content with what I have, but I want to replace Jagielka for Ivanovic or Terry. It's a 0.5-1 pound difference *cries copiously* I want my defence to be Chelsea, ManC and Arsenal
-
is there a way I'll get more money as the weeks go? To have my perfect team I'm missing ONE FRIGGING pound! I can't believe it! Please, lads, be nice to the hysteric girl and reassure her if she goes well she may have the extra pound to spend in a few weeks
-
This is the Sassy Mou I love Mourinho: I'm back at Chelsea to heal the family rift after Benitez fall out
-
I have Luiz and Oscar, but I'll probably drop Luiz if it's confirmed tomorrow he won't play the weekend... Mata probably won't play 60 minutes if he plays at all, so I wouldn't choose him either. There's a chance Kevin can play, but am I the only one to think some of our players - especially the ones who never played EPL are very expensive? I wanted to have Kevin but I'm way passed the point of having 8M to spend. I had 10M to buy another 3 players when I realized that wasn't like my credit card Keep in mind that Chelsea and Aston Villa will play twice in the first week so choosing players from both teams may give you a chance to double your points

stuff you find on tumblr. I wonder if they were here those were going to be their picking up lines

because the alternative is so painful we prefer to live in delusional denial. *nightmares*

Let's party!!!!!!!!!!! :getin: :getin: I want to get drunk to celebrate it. It's less than 10 degrees where I am now and there's wine everywhere. so let's get drunk!!!! (says the girl who doesn't like alcohol)

No I'm not kidding and the worst isn't having a Cock, Dick or whatever you want to translate it, it's for it to Salty as well I'm so sorry to know about it Those things will never make sense in my head. I hope no one you know was affected by it, but I also feel sorry for those who were hurt or even died

someone had to replace SAF properly

that quote, plus what Dani Cunt Alves said, convinces me that even if David wanted to go and asked the board, we aren't releasing him. So I'm not preoccupied now
