  1. Yeah, I mixed the order... point remains that if the previous year you had -49.4 you start the following fiscal year at -49.4. To call it even, you need to have your revenue to overcome your expenses in -49.4.
  2. That's impossible. The way you end a fiscal year is how you start the following. We ended 2012 with an almost 50m loss, you don't start the following year on a clean slate. You go from there. To reach +1.4 profit, first we overcame -49.4.
  3. I actually only meant that there they may downgrade our best player... after all they can be jealous. But I've seen more praise towards Hazard from rivals fans than some here.
  4. you're ruining the reputation French members have in this forum. Always thoughtful, smart, insightful, they're deeply missed when they are inactive, but you aren't doing us any favors. The last pages of this thread make me want to vomit. If you guys don't think Hazard is great, that he still has a very high ceiling and that he's going to be one of football biggest star, there are always pages to post bollocks on Arsenal Mania, Blue Moon, Red Cafe, RAWK, etc... they'll be happy to have you.
  5. I didn't think it was even up to discussion, I thought it was consensus... Hazard is way more talented than most players in the world. so yeah, raw talent, Oscar doesn't come even close imo. It doesn't mean he can't or won't make up with other things. I'm not saying Eden's way better than Oscar (nor am I saying he's not). So as he has more tricks under his sleeve than Oscar does, and Oscar normally has to work a lot to make some things happen, Eden's shortcomings are easier to overlook. Creating balance isn't a talent, as well as using the brain, or whatever else you want to say. Those are qualities, but not necessarily talent. Also, Oscar is a better (and classier) goal scorer - that's the only 'talent' I can think he's better than Eden. They're different kind of players, but Oscar normally can't make people forget the 5 times he got dispossessed in a match, by dribbling by 5 players like Hazard does... so people will remember Oscar's misplaced passes, turnovers and whats not, but they won't remember Eden's because how many times Eden is brilliant in a match and how many times Oscar is? Sometimes it's a close comparison, sometimes it's not. That's all I meant.
  6. Because Hazard is way more talented... so therefore his talent makes up for his shortcomings. Oscar is nowhere as talented, so people will always demand more from him. It's as if every player is supposed to be as talent as others...
  7. great news! but I'm biased because I simply love this kid, hahahahahaha coming straight for Brazil I find it very easy to believe he was indeed on 40k p/w
  8. Cesc doesn't have a direct replacement in the side. Playing with both Ramires and Oscar is the closest we get, but still far from what he delivers. He'll be missed, hopefully we'll handle without him. We did the corresponding fixtures last season.
  9. I wish Southampton had the endurance and whatever it takes to keep their position or at least spot #3 after their busy schedule against 'bigger' teams. I don't think they do though. I predict them to lose at least 7 points. In hindsight it's a nice thing UCL is keeping us grounded. With everyone struggling to pile points, with Saints likely to go down a couple of positions when all is said and done in December, those struggles we had in UCL, those draws in EPL and scrapped results in COC will keep the boys grounded. If we were getting all possible results, keeping the high scoring, I'm absolutely sure this squad would relax and it could be more jeopardizing than those draws (the draws really aren't jeopardizing imo). Once you relax too much, you may go through a slump and going through a slump in December can cost a lot. All in all, I think things are just the way they should to keep us in control of winning the league from beginning to end.
  10. and some of his other actions Also found his bromance with Eden. They're so close, it's cute. and then this part I've missed: lol - teaching Eden how to waste time. Also when things got thick and we couldn't hold possession towards the end, he was the one who stepped in and tried to keep it in scum's half.
  11. He looks says he isn't that confident on Holland saying it was goal. I feel like he needs further evidence, hahahahaha
  12. But playing injured or through pain is. Maybe he's been feeling some pain or discomfort in the last couple of weeks
  13. I've openly criticized his finishing during the live match thread and I'll do it again. But I'm criticizing his finishing, not the player. He needs to improve, end of it. I read some fellas saying it wasn't his fault as his shots were deflected. I wonder two things 1) if it was someone else they'd say the same; 2) if they honestly think those were well taken shots. If someone the answer is yes - and I don't need to read anyone answering me - color me shocked. While a couple of his four shots (I remember four, maybe there were more) weren't exactly that bad, the other two were far from good. Especially the one he got the pass from Ramires after that unbelievable pass by Oscar. He's all by himself, he has time, he's in front of the goal, he chooses to shoot where there's the most concentration of players (opposition or not). That's a bad decision making in terms of finishing, whether some people want to admit it or not and I'll go further, it doesn't need to be super talented to score that goal. A good finisher would have netted it, an average finisher wouldn't. The thing is I don't think Hazard is an average finisher. It's the area of this game that needs the most improvement, but I remember a lot of well taken goals by him. He's a good finisher with a lot of room for improvement. I don't think what he's been lacking now is quality, but confidence. His problem is clearly mental. He needs to score one of those goals to feel better, to increase his confidence. His movement improved a lot and we've been begging him to add a killer instinct to his game. Well, he's half way through it. He's been getting in those position and that's not simple. It's improvement he's clearly done in the last few months. He's going for the shots - something he not usually does - so the shoot-or-not-shoot decision making improved too. He needs confidence combined with better decision making on shot placement. He needs to instinct of knowing immediately where to place the ball. He's getting there, but I think we'll only see real progress about the actual finishing when he scores one or two goals from open play. He seems to be lacking a lot of confidence and he seems a bit anxious too. He wants it really bad, you can see it easily on the way he's carrying himself in the pitch. It's a bit a lack of luck, confidence and calm combined with an area of his game he can improve. During the games I get more irritated because I feel like any of these days he can cost us points (imo he cost us the win against Maribor, but that wasn't important, so I'll overlook it), but I can coldly analyze it and say while frustrating, I'm also hopeful for the goal to come soon. It could be his turning point.
  14. exactly. We only have to travel to Arsenal and Spurs... I know they aren't exactly amazing, but those are London derbies and although we have everything to beat them, those are the only tricky away trips we still have. Everton, City, United and Liverpool would be along those two our six most difficult away games in the paper. There are always the season wonders such as Southampton and the odd game against a middle table team that you could lose, but in theory those are the six difficult trips and we've played four of them already and from 12 possible points we've got 8. As much I didn't like how we played against United, as much as I hate how Lampard scored for City and I even have criticism towards our latest shown form, I can't for the life of me complain about our journey so far. 8 points out of 12 against tough/traditional/annoying bigger sides than the rest, is more than enough to win us the league. We don't need to beat records (that already belong to us anyway). We don't need to play the most beautiful football in the world. I don't like some of Mourinho's tactics in games such as the United game, but it's a mistake (if even that) or one bad decision - nothing more. We're comfortably leading the league, we're unbeaten, what else could I ask in NOVEMBER?
  15. some people here stopped being members and became professional moaners. Never happy, never a nice word. Only moaning, moaning, moaning. We didn't play that well, we're tired, we're struggling these days, it's November (and I don't mean it in the superstitious way - players start to feel the weight of the matches cumulation and at the same time try to save some energy for December craziness), we played a team desperate for a win that rested their players in a champions league game to play us. We gave a lot of space between the lines for them through most of the first half, but we fixed it and except for that Coutinho long range shot, they haven't threatened Courtois at all while we've had 4 chances with Hazard alone... I swear I don't know what could make you happy. we aren't Barcelona of a few years ago or Bayern from a couple of seasons ago. We are not even close, so can't you just be happy we've won a tough match away? Yes, Liverpool suck, they haven't been playing well, but it's still Liverpool. Look the table, look how we comfortably won (Hazard could have killed the match for us in the first half alone), how we're in a comfortable position. Or just come here to say the same old shit about parking the bus (don't know when it happened), how we played counter-attack (must be a foreign concept to do it away from home, while pressured by the home team) or how we were soft. I'm tired of you all, and this, Choulo, is a complaint about the endless moaning this place became.
  16. for fuck sake, people, we've been playing like this the whole match... this is a game against Liverpool, they're pressing us, they're going for the kill, on full throttle. We haven't played that well all match, it's not like now we're doing anything... we're trying to win a match.
  17. Also third match in a row Cesc is struggling... he's been invisible in the attack and has been very soft and gave a lot of space to Liverpool defensively.
  18. he improved slightly at the end of the match, but still misplaced a lot of passes imo. Hazard needs to work on his finishing asap. It's not about being Ronaldo, Messi, wanting to win Balon D'Or or those old stories. Given his general quality, his finishing is becoming embarrassing. Right now I feel it's more confidence than lack of quality or killer instinct. We (and he) desperately need him to score a good goal from open play so his confidence comes back. He's not a great finisher, but he's much better than he's been showing. And it's starting to cost us points... Yeah, he's the one who creates the chances, but if he's also the one that wastes them, then there's no point.
  19. I swear I'm losing my patience with Hazard's inability to finish., It's getting on my nerves...
  20. Oscar seems to feel the weight of big matches. He's been useless so far.
