Not confident at all, but the winner will have a relatively easy semi against Schalke, with the second leg at home. Hope we can go to Wembley, and an early goal will be important. I'd love a controversial last minute winner from Torres, as he goes mad in front of the United fans singing "que sera sera"...

Just got back. Awful match and performance, but we got what we needed ahead of Tuesday. Thought Torres' introduction made for a great last half an hour - he had lots of chances and played well again.

The United fans showed their true ignorance last night by shouting "you Scouse bastard" at Torres, who is from Madrid and lives in London, despite the fact Rooney grew up and played in Liverpool.

If we had a decent lead, we may have messed it up. Look at the 3-1 we got at Anfield - we came back to the Bridge and had to come from two goals down to draw 4-4. At least we can't become complacent now.

It's a shame the media and non-Chelsea fans don't realise how good he's been recently. Now he's being used as a scapegoat and the media are saying Carlo's decision to take Drogba off was influenced by Roman. His movement was great as usual and he had some impressive chances, hitting the post.

The second leg won't be easy at all, but a good performance will see us through. If we play like we did last night, we've no hope. Something has to change. We can't put exactly the same team out with the same formation and tactics. Look at Inter last season - we didn't stand a chance. Get an early goal and we're even. We can win there. We can't complain about referees if we play poorly for 89 minutes.

Don't want to put any pressure on him but Torres has the best odds to score tonight.

I don't want to become complacent, but a solid win in this first leg would put us within touching distance of Wembley. Then we can park the bus at OT and beat Schalke.
