Fergie: "We're at home and tactically we'll be much the same as the first game. Chelsea may change a bit but we can cope with that. I hope the team steps forward and produces a typical United performance. I guess I thought Drogba may have started but I'm not surprised that Torres has been picked. They've got a lot of good players."
CA: "You'll have to watch the game to work out if we're going to play with a 4-3-3 formation. If possible we have to control the game by controlling the possession. I picked Fernando up front because we want to play with a certain shape. The key is to win. We have to play 90 minutes at our best."
United team: Van der sar, O' Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Nani, Carrick, Park, Giggs, Rooney, Hernandez. United subs: Kuzszcak, Brown, Smalling, Scholes, Gibson, Valencia, Berbatov.
Drogba's only scored twice against United, remember. It's a big call nonetheless. Ramires, Mikel, Torres and Zhirkov will miss the semi final first leg if booked tonight. Alex starts.
Mirror: "Only Chelsea team news we have so far is Drogba on bench, Torres starts. Hopefully (for Chelsea fans) a return to 4-3-3." Also, United team: Van der Sar; O'Shea, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Nani, Carrick, Park, Giggs, Hernandez, Rooney. Rumour that Drogba is benched.
Fergie has said we're obsessed with the CL - and I completely agree with him: http://news.bbc.co.u...ll/13040604.stm Yeah, and Torres never takes penalties anyway.
Not confident at all, but the winner will have a relatively easy semi against Schalke, with the second leg at home. Hope we can go to Wembley, and an early goal will be important. I'd love a controversial last minute winner from Torres, as he goes mad in front of the United fans singing "que sera sera"...
