The odds of potter getting to the top were always slim, nothing he achieved before joining Chelsea suggested otherwise. Klopp got to two finals and was playing good attacking football so yes some people did see the potential at the time. And he had a track record with Dortmund so it was worth being patient with him. Doing nothing at Brighton doesn't afford you the same luxury
