I feel you. Most top goalies play till they are like 40 or 41. Van Der Sar at Man U played till 40+, Buffon is how old, etc. etc. GK position is not like a field player where you need fresh legs as in younger players. 32 is very young in GK age. Our own Schwarzer Nigel Martin, David Seaman kept till how old? Gordon Banks, Peter Schmeichel (sp) Scary guy.David James, Jan Tomaszeweski, Harald Schumacher, Angelo Peruzzi, Jose Luis Felix Chilavert , Fabian Barthez , Etc. The guy is young, so we should just discard of club legends, because we are scared of losing him. If he really loved Chelsea, it should not an issue in the first place. Every player will have his up and down part of his career, and clearly, Petr has not shown us that he is in a downward spiral.

La liga does not have big tall extremely physical players like the EPl. He's not going to have a free roam in the box to pick up flighted balls like he did over there. We have huge players like Kompany, Lescott, Jones,Ager, Etc etc., who will challenge and block you from all that. Plus players like Kevin nolan, Lambert, etcc are very hard and taller than average Joes in Spain. So its not going to be that easy. He will be successful, but not what some are thinking like its going to be a cakewalk.

You are the idiot and the stupid one here. If you are not able to discuss intelligently then shut up. What's with the insults? I'm having a conversation with intelligent people who can also agree to disagree. Who let you sign on here anyways? No one invited you into it.

Oh well thats where we differ. Time will tell. But he could have been less brash and used this year like a learning curve. His attitude and statement prior to coming in to Chelsea was disrespectful to Petr IMHO.
-
Yes he was, and what about the AM midfield defending and their defenders. The whole team contributed to it. Madrid won the CL and Ike was a disaster. So it doesn't follow. Torres was always good in europe, but sucked the EPL. Players react differently in different settings. I just think this should have been his transition year. We brought in Torres and phased out Drogba and look at what happened, we are back to Drogba and Torres is a baggage. All these are just presumptions. I for one think it would have been a different outcome had Petr not dislocated his should in the semis against AM. We really missed him. If we let Petr go, we are going to be in the same situation again. One injury from being back to Schwatzer, that is my main concern. Hopefully, Petr will be the adult about it and take one for the team. This decision will be akin to taking a yellow card for the team.
-
So because you are a top dog in the MLS means you will be top brass in the EPL? Football in not mathematics, where if a=b and b=c, then a=c.
-
Where in La Liga. Is that we play? How many times have we seen top players in other leagues come to the EPL and fail?
-
Petr is old and stagnated? Joke of the day. What happened to coming and earning your chance on merit? The joke is people writing and thinking they know what they are talking about.
-
I don't like it one bit. This guy comes in and acts like a petulant child arrogant prick and gets what he wants without doing a damn thing to earn it in return. He was ready to dump us for Madrid for a minute there. Watch what happens when his renewal comes up in four years or so, if he signs this extension. Bad precedence if you ask me. I feel bad for Petr. He has bled, gotten knocked out almost died and busted his whole mouth lips and jaw for the club and this is how we repay him? I'm pissed. i really hope he stays. If he leaves we are back to square one. Should this brat get injured, we are back to Schwarzer again, just like last year.

You mean 4-5-1

Johnny just come lately reporting for duty. Hahahahahaha. Still got a lot of kissing up to do, suggest you get some lip gloss

Will miss Demba Ba. Awesome guy. Dembabafoot, have you any goals? Yes sir yes sir two bags full, one for the big boss and one for the fans, both for those liver pools who dared played the blues. Thanks for the memories.

I'm sorry Hazard is not all that. Occasional sparks and that's about it. He fizzles as the game lasts 90 minutes. He's also a huge defensive liability. Most of the goals against us since he's been playing came from his side of the pitch. I felt so sorry for Ashley who had to cover for him most times and always ended up picking up two players, at the least on defensive duties. I would sell him for a massive profit in a heart beat. Even Drogba at his prime defended dutifully for us during his Chelsea playing days.

Ain't we getting all personal. If you have anything substantive to add, for someone that calls himself an administrator, then you wouldn't be resorting to grade school practices. What facts have you displayed here to buttress any premise that you could have dreamed of? It just shows how uninformed you are.
-
Is there a place you can watch the game after the fact? Any links? Thanks.

Hmn In all competitions. I'm glad you have a sense of humor. You mean first, second round FA cups and other non league miscellaneous games qualifies him as a starter? Lol. If he is a starter then what are Alonso, Ramos? etc., If we were to equate it to Chelsea starters where each player stands a chance of playing 65+ games per season, Counting every game that Real might play in a season, does his stats even at a generous 40 games per my colleague here, qualify him as a regular starter. So since you are so inclined to comedic-ally insinuate the league stats are otherwise, Why don't you do us all a favor and prove your point here with facts and data. We are eagerly waiting. A guy plays 52.63% of league games per season on his best year and he's a starter. Hahahahahaha.
-
Stats don't lie. why doesn't it add up then? If you read the post rather than jump to conclusion. I did allude to the fact that he came in last year. Pepe played there a lot and a host of others. When Khedira played there he played as a Center not a DM for most part. Understand the game a bit guys. The man plays two positions.Center and DM. Chelsea have no uses for those positions. He doesn't score as much either. Chelsea is looking for Scorers. We are good defensively. Mikel is a DM. Matic, Romeu is back, Van Ginkel, Ramirez, What in the world does he need another non scoring DM for?
-
Oh I see, but I've straightened it up a bit. check on the original link.
-
I did a whole lot of work to straighten it up, but click on the link. Its not that difficult. That's why I provided it.
-
No he was not a regular. I watched all of Jose M's games religiously. The guy is a DM and sometimes utilized as a Central midfielder. Where is he going to play at Chelsea? Over abundance of players in that respect. Alonso was a regular in that position so was Asier Illarramendi, 2013-14 season and going. Varane also doubles there too. So did Pepe during Jose's tenure at Madrid. Jose prefers to play one DM, one "C" and one AM in the middle of the park. Jose played Alonso and Sammy only on really really tough fixtures i.e. Barca.

People are also forgetting that we have an overabundance of midfielders in our U21. In two years we will be loaded. We've got Traore, Atsu, Cheeks, Ake, and a bunch of really good potentials in the wings ready to come up.
-
Chelsea is being linked with everyone out there and Liverpool has gone mad buying everything out there. Where is he going to put all those players? The Sammy K. thing puzzles me the most. Why do we need him? He wasn't even a regular when Jose was at Madrid. Then Kroos, for what? He's just another mechanical player and we do not need him either. The only guy that will be massive is Pogba, other than that forget the mid-field. We left back and another forward.
