Chelsea lose Deco for visit of Juventus Chelsea will be without Deco for Champions League first-leg match against Juventus at Stamford Bridge tomorrow night. The midfielder has a minor hamstring tear which is expected to keep him out of action for the next few days. Ricardo Carvalho is on the brink of a return following a hamstring problem but Michael Essien is not likely to be considered, despite returning to training after a knee ligament injury, while Joe Cole is out for the season with knee ligament damage of his own. guardian.co.uk

WOW thats so nice, your so creative david. Send this into adidas!!!

Yep totally agree his work rate was great, he might not have made that much but he never gave up, he chased every ball down and he even went back to defend. If he does continue to do so im sure we will see him back on the score board soon.

Didier Drogba has his sights firmly on UEFA Champions League glory this season. The Ivorian striker was sent-off in last season's final, which Chelsea lost to rivals Manchester United on penalties. Chelsea face Juventus this week in the first leg of their last-16 clash, but Drogba is already thinking about another final appearance. "My desire is greater than ever to win it. We lost two semi-finals and a final," he told The Sun. "It has been a difficult competition for us. Moscow is very difficult to forget, I still think about it. "The saddest part for me is the fans. They deserve to win the Champions League and this year we have to play the same way to get to the final but this time bring the trophy back to the Bridge. "I would love to travel back in time and not be sent off in Moscow. If I was on the pitch I would have taken a penalty. "I love taking penalties but sometimes you have to accept this is life." I think Guss has brought an extra bit of confidence to our team that we have not seen since Jose. I know we have only played one game under him but even just before and after the games we seemed so much closer, which was great to see. We have stopped hearing these stories about our club being in shambles and how there is alot of tension in the dressing room. Hopefully it will keep the boys more focused on the games at hand and not on all the rubbish on the side. That performance in the first half was great, we had 7 shots on target which i have not seen in a long while because we normally struggle to have more than 4 or 5 shots a game as of late. If we can continue to get shots off a break defenses apart like we did i think we have a good shot at least winning 1 trophy this season.

I disagree with you all can firefox do this? lol jk get firefox its heaps better and safer
-
I disagree. Its not only city out there i think if someone come around from like the MLS lets say and made a ridiculous bid for someone like ballack or deco, which i can see happening as teams from that league do look for the has beens to make there league bigger and a few team did take interest in deco and bid ridiculous amounts of money for him when he was at barca but he wanted to come challenge himself with us.
-
I agree with you 100% as i watch as many juve games as i can. The league is totally different to the epl, its not right to say the epl is heaps better because thats not necessarily true as alot of world class players either play in it or come out of it.
-
I watched most of the game aswell but they where getting destroyed in the first half to be honest, there goals where good but if they park the bus and let us play i think we can get a couple goals.

I'm currently working on putting this site on a top ranked football site. The only way we are going to get noticed on that is if everyone here votes for us. Once the registration is completed i will post it and every vote so we can become a bigger and better community. http://footyall.com/

It does not even matter about the money i think jt would be here at our club even if he did not have a massive pay check not once has he said he wants to leave for more money so what make you think hes here for just that reason.
-
I did not really mean for him to splash the cash as in to spend heaps and heaps of money on older replacements, i do want to look to the future as well and if we can pick up some talented young players in the transfer market i think it would be wise to do so. But we also do need the likes of John Terry to be around to help out these youngsters and make them better players.
-
John Terry was a highlight of todays game. He went into every tackle with 100% commitment on winning the ball and making something out of it, like he has done over and over again throught he career. We had a fair few corners aswell in tonights game against Villa, John Terry got onto 3 of them, he put two on target and was very unlucky not too score both. He also headered one wide. If this man can start scoring goals like he did a few seasons ago than he could be as importent as a striker from corners and set peices. He has also been the our best player for many seasons in the past few years. Yes he is getting older and getting alot more injuries but this should not matter, if you are a loyal fan of the blues you should want our true legends to stay with us for as long as they can. Even if it means in a few years time we use john as a backup centre back, i would prefer to see him sitting on the bench for us than him playing in a shirt like manchester cities and im sure thats what he would prefer too. I personally do not believe it would be a smart idea to sell this man as he is the heart and soul of the club as you guys already know but, There should be no amount of money that would even make the club look twice because he does not want to leave, atleast most of the fans do not want him to leave either, and we have one of the richest owners in the world and if its new players we are waiting for than we need Roman to just open his pockets, which im sure he will do for us sometime in the near future.
