So much excitement . So many highs and some devastating lows. I was living in France when we first qualified for the CL by beating Liverpool. Unable to get the game ,,had no internet connection then. Eventually found the result on French tv. A few weeks later at golf in France was introduced to David Ginola and played golf with him. Talked about what was due to happen with qualifying for the competition proper. He was unaware they still had to play a qualifying game . I don't think he believed me. One of my greatest memories was travelling with French fans to Paris for the PSG game. They had got tickets but in the home section. Was wise not to wear a Chelsea shirt ,,the atmosphere was so hostile ,,they really did hate Drogba. In the years that have followed we seem to have been dogged by bad luck. I won't chronicle them all.. merely say Monaco.. scumpool .Barca ...still suffer the nightmare of Moscow. BUT how lucky we have been to enjoy the excitement of the European nights . Another year has come ,,another great European adventure Lets enjoy ,,,perhaps it could be this year ,,, WIN or lose ,,we are there again.
