  1. Lmao.. who cares man-utd were more of a brand than a football club back then, we have caught up though. i remember having ac milan, juve, inter, barca, madrid shirts as a kid, just for the different colours.
  2. "We try to kick Gaël in training," Mikel said. "That's the only way to stop him." worth all the effort? Mikel is convinced that the French forward is extremely talented."We train with him every day and he's a fantastic player," he said. "He's very young and he still has to learn more, a lot of things, but you can see from today what a good player he is. "In terms of skill, he is the best at the club. The sort of things he does in training come naturally, he doesn't force it. When he's got the ball, he knows what to do. You know he's doing it naturally." The full article.. (great read) http://www.guardian....ves-gael-kakuta
  3. exactly, ribery is an over hyped old man... worth 10m (maximum) we can save a fortune with kakuta.. we just need carlo to play him.
  4. never. Peter Osgood comes to mind when at 17 he scored 2 goals in his debut and there was a buzz surrounding him, but the two cannot be compared because Kakuta is literally playing in the best team in the league. Plus it's so rare to see young players make such an impact in one game. Considering the climate and ability of our squad to stand out as an 18 year old was near impossible... until now. Gael Kakuta is the biggest prospect in the history of Chelsea football club.
  5. great player, nice to see the man-utd fans giving him the admiration he deserves. fergie wanted to sign both him & mikel anyways
  6. any Chelsea fan who is ignoring this kid, and instead focusing on other shit needs a brain check.. this is the player we've been waiting for as supporters.
  7. why does it sound like that.. I'm comparing him to c.ronaldo when he first came to the premier league, ronaldo was not a complete player then.. he lost the ball all the time and didn't have the finished article.
  8. we don't need him at all, all he will do is piss of anelka & drogba.. in fact the signing of aguero will be disastrous. we have a winning formula right now, very easy fixtures in January too.
  9. a lot of people are seeing similarity's between ronaldo & kakuta and i agree, when c.ronaldo first joined united he was the cocky, confident trickster who wasn't afraid to take on the world. It took him a few seasons to turn his skills into the finished article but when it all came together he became the best player in the world.
  10. some interesting reviews of kakuta here.. http://www.anotha.com/f105/ga-l-kakuta-remember-the-name-t67226/
  11. J.Cole was also very self indulgent today, but now we have kakuta we need to adopt a different perspective when reviewing him because he is a true Trequartista.
  12. one small step for Gael kakuta, one giant leap for Chelsea Football club. the next step is to give him the number 7 shirt, because from the way he's handled the massive pressure of the transfer ban controvercy if any player has the character and natural talent to lift the so called curse it's kakuta.
  13. he played better than joe cole at 18. this is the first time in the history of Chelsea fc we have a kid of biblical proportion.. the fact of the matter is if this was a barca or milan player we would be having multiple orgasms just mentioning him.
  14. Kakuta's glimpses of brilliance overshadowed the whole game imo, it's almost spooky witnessing this kid.
  15. Name: Gaël Kakuta Position: Attacking Midfielder/Winger (Number 10) Joined From: RC Lens Fee: n/a Signed by: Frank Arnesen Age: 20 (21 June 1991) Interesting facts: After his first reserve game playing along side team mate Michael Ballack. The German international told journalists. "Go see the French lad, he is the star". Personal Information: Kakuta lives in North London with his mother and older brother. Didier Drogba is understood to have taken Kakuta under his wing when he first came to England.
  16. Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Gael Kakuta could be handed his debut this weekend! http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5708012,00.html
  17. yes it would break the anelka & drogba partnership. a player of Aguero's caliber & price tag wont stand for a second on the bench, so the question here is.. is it really worth breaking a winning formula?
  18. Who needs Sergio Aguero when we've got Fabio Borini? Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti insists he'll be thrifty in January http://www.dailymail...y.html?ITO=1490
  19. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11668_5699299,00.html
  20. 15-18 million is nothing, considering his potential worth besides.. we need more English players.
  21. Chelsea kid Kakuta makes successful playing return Chelsea youngster Gael Kakuta made a successful playing return for France this week. Kakuta had been suspended after FIFA slapped Chelsea with a transfer ban earlier this season. But with CAS having suspended the action, Kakuta is free to resume his career. The striker played for France Under 19s in a 3-3 draw against Greece in friendly tournament, having played the first-half of a 1-0 win over Poland on Wednesday. http://www.tribalfoo...g-return-443501
