  1. it was a reasonable assumption. .... i somehow doubt they tied him up and forced him to take the number 10 shirt, and when he refused they tortured him.
  2. i have assessed the positives and feel the negatives outweigh them.
  3. benayoun thought he was a big enough player to dare to ask for the number 10 shirt, clearly he thinks he's bigger than the club and thinks he's a guaranteed first team player. those doubting this are looking at the matter through a very one dimensional view.
  4. 11 is an acceptable strikers number, benzema is 11 for madrid as well but sidwell and boulahrouz wearing peter osgood's number 9 on the other hand is nothing short of a disgrace. a player like kakuta or even a big name signing would have really benefited from having the 10 shirt imo, in more ways than one.
  5. well if that is the case we won't be signing any big names, kenyon may have left but every big club saves first team numbers for planned upcoming signings.
  6. possibly, i would imagine they literally asked benayoun what number he wanted, and he asked for the number 10. If he considered chelsea a big club he wouldn't have had the guts to pick that number. I can imagine it now.. smiling like a cheshire cat as he took the most famous first team number in football history.
  7. why do you use that as a point? that was just as much a disgrace as giving sidwell the number 9 shirt. r.i.p peter osgood.
  8. i would look around at my super model girl and the ridiculous wages i get paid, and ask one of the various nude housewifes for another back massage.
  9. i thought it couldn't have got any worse than sidwell getting peter osgood's number 9 but this is much worse. football culture, tradition, history has been used as toilet paper here. i'm ashamed, it's fucking disgusting what has happened.
  10. ^ this is why alot of other fans diss us because of 'some' giving us a bad name, due to not caring about football history and tradition. when they shout you've got no history it's also a mentality thing, the number 10 is the number you give the best player in football tradition and history. ask Pele, ask Maradona.. peter osgood's number 9 was given to sidwell for fuck sake!! and now this.
  11. i miss kenyon, he would never let an average nobody like benayoun get such a number.
  12. and thanks to benayoun he will get the cursed and incredibly unlucky number 7 shirt, in which chelsea gods such as sheva & mutu have worn not forgetting maniche. cheers benayoun.
  13. Benayoun being number 10 is just spitting in the face of football tradition and to a great number in football history. Words are beyong me atm, it was just as bad when sidwell managed to get Osgood's number 9. an utter disgrace. and btw i would imagine di santo will leave, so it's hardly the final shirt numbers.
  14. fuck sake.. i will be a chelsea fan for life but i'm really starting to lose interest. the magic and tradition of football is slowly dying, all i hope is that he's out of my club as soon as possible.
  15. i have new found respect for rafa, never thought that could happen.
  16. he recently committed himself to inter.
  17. he's clearly been fucked over in his life, as a species living in such society's we make decisions in which will be the architect of our futures.
  18. it wasn't me starting an argument, i can assure you. Although i see what your trying to do here, by making it look as if i am. i was wondering why you feel the need to get involved, and indirectly encourage joe cool when it's simply not necessary.
