  1. I've donated to this website. I offered suggestions as to who I thought would make good mods and I've actually congratulated Special Juan and said what a great pick he is. Sorry, but I'm just surprised at the pick of rmpr when I've seen him deride this club and it's supporters. Ultimately it's up to the admins what type of person they want being mods and I'm simply a user offering an opinion. I have nothing more to add after this post.
  2. At least someone sees sense. No reason to say he's leaving when he's still under contract.
  3. This post is hidden because you have chosen to ignore posts by Rmpr. View it anyway? Aah....bliss. :blue scalf:
  4. So that makes him scum? Some people....
  5. Same old shit. Our striker fails to score an open goal, we get unlucky at the other end and all of a sudden we're shit. You know we're losing when lionsden is posting in a match thread.
  6. You can't add mods to the ignore list so I was worried that I might have to see your posts if you were made mod. Fortunately I had you on ignore before then so I won't have to read your posts. As it is I've congratulated Special Juan because I think he's a great guy and a top poster. You....um.
  7. Scored one goal, should've had another after a fantastic late run into the box.
  8. Torres did well there, the defender did better but those fucking balloons on the pitch are a joke.
  9. Matic is a nailed-on starter and I think it's just a nice move to give Mikel a start in what is probably his last game. I'm not his biggest fan but he's been a stalwart of this club for a long-time and deserves our thanks for that. Would be made-up if he could get a goal. :blue scalf:
  10. I agree that they both need a step-up, I'm just not sure if there's room for both of them here. Atsu probably has the best bet whereas Piazon could probably do with another loan. His first-half of the season was great but (like Oscar a bit) he seemed to struggle after Christmas. I think both will get a chance in the summer, especially with Hazard, Oscar, Schurrle and Willian hopefully getting a holiday after the World Cup.
  11. Spot on. Young players by their very nature are inconsistent (especially coming from another country) and need our SUPPORT. Yet some people simply want us to buy success rather than nurturing these youngsters. Oscar has shown enough for anyone to realise he has a lot of talent. He just needs to get that consistency which will only come with patience.
  12. Could do but financially it's a big hit and Oscar needs at least a season more here to prove himself. His form earlier in the season was spectacular but he's been shit in the second half (maybe a bit harsh). Need to stick with young players like him who will have dips in form. Atsu and Piazon need to be part of the squad in the summer but I'm not holding my breath on either of them.
  13. It's almost like the newspapers were printing complete and utter bollocks. Oscar and Hazard to be sold at half-time and if Roman isn't in Cardiff today then he's selling the club.
  14. Kalas starts, 6 changes.... Last starts possibly for Cole, Mikel and Torres...maybe even Schwarzer. Swifty on the bench with Ake.
  15. When you let any player go, you have to factor in the cost of replacing them surely. Who do we replace Oscar with? Plus swap deals are far rarer than posters on here make out.
  16. You look at their squad though and it's not surprising. There's absolutely no leaders in that dressing room and really it's a bunch of mercenary cunts. We at least had Didier, JT, Lamps, Ashley and Cech who all stepped up. Who have they got? Adebayor? Dawson? Lloris? That club is a right mess.
  17. Kalas really was unlucky with the timing of his injury. Shame because he's looked good but hopefully he'll stick around next season especially if we lose Luiz. It means we can take more time with Zouma too. I think there's a few young guys who can all stake a claim in the summer for a spot in the squad. A lot of players will be involved with the world cup so the first few friendlies could see a lot more gametime for these young'uns. Best bets would probably be Kalas, Chalobah and maybe even Loftus-Cheek.
  18. Great pick on Special Juan. Great poster, good guy, contributes well and should be a spot on choice. The other one..... If it had to be a Brazilian then Barbara was the best pick surely. Plus a female mod is probably what this forum needs. Thoughtful, articulate and fair-minded.
  19. You can do both. In January we bought Matic, Zouma and Salah. Matic is very much for now, Zouma is one for the future and Salah is probably a bit of both. I think we'll continue looking to get in the best youngsters (Pasalic will come in the summer and I expect a few others) whilst buying players who will immediately improve us, the primary one being a striker. Ultimately it all comes down to value.
  20. That's a good point. If they did lose him then they could struggle next year and that's a tough place to come in as a young player, especially without key men like Lallana and Rodriguez (injured for 6 months minimum). But if they can keep that solid defence and midfield and add a bit of quality up top then it could be the best spot in the league. I think the Hazard surname will open a few doors and he's got the performances to back it up, so any team looking for a bit of quality up the pitch on the cheap could be interested. You could even look at teams like Stoke or West Ham as teams who are looking to play better football and are in relatively comfortable positions. West Ham did have limited success with Morrison.
  21. Joke shop club. Of course they'd be interested in Oscar but so would most top teams. The good news for us is that if we are looking to move Luiz on then maybe we can get a bidding war going between Barca and PSG.
  22. They have Barkley. If you're looking for a team with a possible need in that position who give young players a chance then Southampton could be that team. Lallana is possibly on his way and Ramirez has never really impressed. Low pressure, financial issues and not the worst team in the world to forge a relationship with.
