I bet if you ask any English player not name John Terry who they would want as their teammate, I guarantee 9 out of 10 people, would pick Stevie G and Scholes over Lamps...

Well, I think they pressed him a lot more, which made him lose tons of balls... I think in most games, the opposing teams don't pressed our mf much. Cept most of our games vs non british opposition.

Kind of, not really. Someone said he was top 5 mf in the past 20 years. I said he's not even England top mf...... (Never said he wasn't a good player though). Also, I said I rate Stevie G and scholes above him.

Look at these Chelsea homers.... I'm pretty sure if Lampard is in the starting 11 in the pivot role, teams will be dieing to play us in European competition next year.... Knowing how easy it is to boss our pathetic midfield.

I voted for Torres.... He screw up a lot, but he was trying to go forward at least. Also, Cech played one ball through the back the whole game ( the rest were Cech Punts).. Our midfield sucks and the fact that Chelsea is still playing Torres as a holdup striker confuses me....Why are we bombing balls to Torres, Oscar,Hazard, and Mata. If anything, none of those players have good aerial ability. Also I find it funny how you guys always blame Torres for everything... Torres this, torres that. Drogba did so much work last year holding up the ball and winning aerial balls from punts (flopping as well to maintain possession) in the final third....Players like Drogba are not easy to find these days... As long as we keep playing Torres as a Drogba type striker, he going to keep failing and failing (He does get dispossessed of the ball a lot I admit)..

whoa, Gerrard is a poor man's Lampard? HAHA It's funny cause Lampard is older than Stevie, yet Stevie made first team before Lampard.... Even when Gerrard got injured for 2002, Lampard did not even get called up for England.... Also, I rate both Scholes and Gerrard above Lampard...

Maria, Fabio and probably Khedria runs the most out of Madrid..... Also, as a few posters stated, if we revert back to 4-3-3, a lot of players on the team will be deemed useless (I guess a better word is not as productive). Mata is very good, but if he had defensive responsibilities, I doubt he would have half the impact he contributed as a Chelsea player right now... I don't really know much bout Joe Cole, however, I just look at his attributes and he is 74kg compared to Mata 61kg (could be off)... which for some players, is a reason why they can't defend well...

Eh, they play 2 different positions so.... It's kind of hard to compare now that I think about it...... However, as a amc or any attacking position, yea, I rate Thiago higher... Jack bosses center midfield well though and contributes on offense and defense......

Thiago is better than Wilshere, but than again Jack is more a cmf, while Thiago is a amf.... Anyways, Thiago, definitely has the ability... However, with Cesc and Iniesta in front of him, we will never see it......

Mata barely played in Euros and Spain did not even pass group stages.... Also, Mata is the only player to have a vacation for like 2 weeks during the season.... Di Maria runs and runs and runs all game long... Mata would not last in that system in the wings...Di Maria is probably one of the best wingers in the world, however, since he burns so much energy into running and tracking back, people tend to forget him.. Lampard is def. not even England's best midfielder, how can he be top 5 in the last 2 decades....... Only people that would say he is top 5 are Chelsea fans, not even England fans....

Do you see how much defending di maria does for Real. Do you guys see how much he runs a game... If Mata was to do that on the wings, he wouldn't make it till the second half... Also, Lampard is def. not underrated(if anything, hes overrated) and Pirlo is rated just right...

LOL, no need to bash young Barca players...Rafa is probably going to make Brazil NT after wc2014... Also, Thiago is pretty darn good... Probably was rated the best young player like 2-3 years ago, but since he can't break in the logjam midfield of Barca A team, people forgot about him... However, I do think Oscar,Thiago and Gotze will be fighting in the future for number 1 midfielder in the world... With Chelsea getting rid of its static players, and bringing in dynamic players from brazil and belgium, look for Chelsea to be an exciting team and completely change its identity within the year or so...

First Team is like iniesta, Xavi, Thiago and Cesc. If he that good right now, that's great for us!!

we should just have lampard play cf.. he doesnt cover well in the 4-2-3-1 and he always in the box, so since people are always complaining about torres, lets just put him forward so our midfield is a little less exposed...... Also, I'm sure if we qualify for the CL next year, teams outside of England will be itching to play versus Chelsea since they know they can overrun their midfield.....

When I watch Bayern play Arsenal, I thought to myself, mang, imagine if Javi and Bastian were Chelsea two cmfs... Was Argentina really a game.. I mean the game was played in the Meadowlands, so I'm not sure if the game had big game implications or if it was serious at all. Anyways, I mentioned before how I always thought Oscar was world class when I saw him play in the Olympics and that he probably has the highest peak out of any Chelsea player on the squad. If he does well in WC 2014, you can bet Barca and real madrid to be calling for him.....
