Demechiles really turn around and played well for CIty this season. I can only imagine how Luiz would of played paired up with him.. Teams like bayern, barca and madrid would of been great fits for him as well. I'm glad for both the club and Luiz that they bought won out on the deal. Now, I'm waiting to see who Jose brings in.................

Makes sense. Never bought into the idea that Mourinho was going to go in next season with Kalas or zouma as the 3rd cb and if Ivan sticks to RB, which I think there is a good chance he does, than Mourinho would want Varane to replace JT this season or the one after.

Luke shaw could do what javi did for bayern and take a huge paycut to come here, so his transfer fee isn't a huge burden to both player and club.

I completely agree. I slagged luiz a lot, but at psg I expect big things from him. Silva and luiz will become the best pair in the world. I bet we see a completely different luiz at psg vs chelsea. Best of luck to luiz

That's true. However, I dont see the relevance. Chelsea in general is hated outside of Chelsea fans. Losing Luiz, a strong presence in the locker room is a bigger blow than losing a media darling. If Chelsea cared about that, JT would not be captain still. Also, this was in reference to this forum and other chelsea forums, not media reports/analysis.

it is similar. Both were overrated on this forum and we sold both after a good period of irrelevance. Mata being a better player might be true, but the fact is, Luiz got us more because of his skillset and combined package. Luiz was here longer than Mata and Luiz is more significant in the locker room than Mata is. Not saying you. Just in general..

When Mata was sold, there was a huge divide in this forum. However, with Luiz getting sold now, the divide is not so big. It's more one sided. All in all, its pretty similar situations with a huge difference in responses.

I'm really interested to see if the same people that are celebrating Luiz transfer are the same folks that bash Mourinho during the Mata transfer...
