  1. Why is your name GodZola and not Godzilla?
  2. Maybe because it doesnt matter "we are top of the league" now. It only matters if we are top of the league come May!
  3. Salah for Eto'o isnt working at all and Ramires is still a liability...
  4. Not only that, we are losing possession in midfield every fucking time. The amount of counter opportunities they had was pathetic...
  5. Get Ramires off and put Salah or Oscar! Also, Luiz is looking shaky as hell!
  6. Our midfield is getting absolutely crushed atm...
  7. Which is awesome (imo), Mourinho will now be on a mission. He will try to win the EPL like it is his last trophy!
  8. So am I, or have you forgot a PS4 here costs around 1500 dollars?
  9. @Blue-in-me-Veins, it is good to know you're alive! What happened? Tired of losing by 4-5 goals in FIFA?
  10. JOSE OWNED WENGER SOOO FUCKING MUCH!
  11. LOL, you look very nerdy on that picture! Have you been taking fashion classes with Sheldon?
  12. People got very excited when we were elected to host both the Olympics and the World Cup (around 2007-2008), we thought this would finally be the opportunity Brazil needed to give that first step into first-world infra-structure and so on. However, as the time went by, people realized politicians werent even a tad bit concern about all of that. All they always wanted (despite the endless commercials and propaganda) was to leverage money from the big constructions that surrounds those two events! Brazil's economy is doing fine and money really isnt the problem right now, but we still have A LOT to improve (especially on public education and heath systems) and since the government failed to meet their bullshit promises about mobility/safety/whatever, people are fucking upset. I mean, we just built a 73k stadium (where there isnt a football team I might add) for 600 million dollars (and it doesnt even look that great, I bet half of that went to somebody's pocket). Well...WTF? Do you know how many world class hospitals or schools we could have built with that much money??? It is insane! So, there is where the enormous discontentment comes from. Brazil not only missed its chance to take a nice leap forward, but it also missed the chance to invest in the right places. I wouldnt say the protest are against the Wolrd Cup and FIFA per say (like, against the event itself), but more towards how our government treated it and how delusional people started feeling about it. The vast majority of Brazilians would tell you those two events are more of a burden than a gift! Now...I am of the opinion that protesting hard during the World Cup (like many want to) is not the answer and will do more harm than otherwise. The police and army will do absolutely anything to secure the venues and everything (even if the protests are non-violent) just like they did in the Confederations Cup (which you all saw on the video). They will simply not risk letting the event be cancelled, even if that means some protesters will die in that process. Which sounds crazy and pathetic, but it is true. FIFA and Brazilian State will NEVER allow for it to happen nor will they even bother to listen to people's demand. Although valid, protesting during the event will only make things worse, imo. We should have protested big in 2011-2012, when we saw the path it was going to take. Now, all it will do is scare the world, be that the tourists who just want to have a good time or future investors...
  13. The video is very sensationalist, but it doesnt mean it isnt true...
  14. Yep, I saw this video already! I hate to say, but I completely agree with the video...
  15. That is pretty self-explanatory. First, how can you define 'key passes'? It is not like anyone is a sacred santity to be able to determine what will fit in the stat and what wont. Second, how does 'key passes' ultimately mean who is creating more chances than whom? Assists and/or dangerous passes are not the only way to create goal opportunities. Oscar is not the flashy kind of player who oozes the little kids, but anyone who actually understands the game can appreciate what he does on the pitch and sense his greatness. One only needs a technical eye to be able to see it, tbh. You simply need to pay attention to see his movement and ability to drag defenders are beyond superb, which facilitates runs for other players (like Hazard). His short 1-2s are also very good and usually result in someone having a bit of free space to continue the play. His inversions are amazing, he is usually the only player in our team who uses them intelligently. He also have an spectacular mid/long range shot (the best in our current starting XI), something that has proven to be of vital importance when facing defensive teams. Etc... And that is because he is not even 100% comfortable with the Premier League (pitch size, type of grass, pace, physicality, etc) to dribble like he can. Many times you see him just stooping in front of a defender and passing to the side, while if he was playing for Brazil he would try to run past the opposition (as you can see in the video of the previous page). Oscar receives way too little credit for the many positive things he does for our attack. It is absurd... I dont think you even believe what you just posted in that particular sentence!
  16. He was our best player this season until Hazard decided to wake up... He is indeed inconsistent, but only someone who hasnt watched our games would post he has been terrible or sucked at creating chances!
  17. I'd put a mixed team, not total full power and not a team worth of the first round of League Cup... Schwarzer Iva - Cahill - Terry - Cole Mikel - Ramires Salah - Oscar - Hazard Torres Also, the discussion in here is absolutely pathetic. First of all, this is not a mickey mouse cup game against a pub team. However, this is also not some UCL final or whatever. Second of all, people are allowed to have different opinions, it is not wrong to value the FA Cup more than the Galatasaray/Drogba game and vice-versa. Find some middle ground or agree to disagree FFS!
  18. How long do you take to write a preview Choulo? I never take more than 40-45min... The Newcastle one (that I did late at night and kind of fast) took me about half an hour to write it!
