  1. He can't do anything at that range, especially considering the fact that he is tall. Small keepers like Kepa, Oblak or ter stegen maybe could close their legs a little bit faster because they are smaller, but big keepers have no chance at this range. I would say that also Oblak does not save that goal. But I remember here there was a time that snake got slaughtered every week, even though he was a world class GK. He also conceded goals that went through his legs, but can't do better because he is just taller. Wider GK stance and depending what type of fall he wants to do to save goals, it couls take very long. Kepa for instance saved a penalty from Hinteregger because he could close his smaller legs pretty fast (small compared to snake or Mendy). That goal saves no keeper. Too close. AC was missing Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  2. Steve Holland said that one reason why Chelsea was so effective under Conte was because England did not know how to cope with a back three. Pl was not used to that and Conte is a master of a back 3. So it took them one year to discover ways to beat us and in the second season, teams were ready to counter our back three tactics and look what happened. Conte more or less revolutionized PL football lol Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  3. Just saying that our youth has some great youth products. I watch them quite often and I see more creativity and technical abilities watching them play than our boys. I have been watching our youth play since 2010 (obviously not every match) when I became Chelsea fan . And it is not like I hype every youth player up. Also, those youth accounts hype Mason Mount up. I clearly don't rate him [emoji23]. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  4. I throw them into the mix because I have seen their creativity during matches. Werner for instance makes good runs because he has good movement, but he can make as many good runs he wants, if nobody is going to play the perfect pass to him, his runs are pointless. There is a reason why our youth score 2 to six goals almost every match whenever I watch them play. Our youth does clearly not lack creativity and Bate, Anjorin and Livramento (close to breaking an asssist record) currently are the guys that makes things happen with for the strikers. Also, it is not like our youth is garbage or something like that. RJ was before his knee injury maybe the best RB in the league. Lamptey is a very good player. Musiala left us and those Bayern fans are making me angry telling me how good he is. Our youth is the real deal. We have a new golden generation coming, like it or not. Whenever I see Ziyech play for our team, I see much more offensive football because he sees things other guys don't see and he is not afraid of taking risks like Cesc. Like I said, I think Thiago Silva is our second most creative players when Ziyech does not play and he is a CB. Why did we struggle under Sarri so much? Because we lacked creativity. Why did we play so bad under Conte? We lacked creativity. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  5. We have never lost with Ziyech and he and Billy/Bate are our only creative players currently. Even if we sack Lampard, we will lack creativity because our squad does not offer it. I would go as far saying that Thiago Silva is the second most creative player in the regular starting 11 after Ziyech. There is a reason why Pep always buys world class creative talents or players. Because he wants to emulate prime Barcelona and their insane creativity Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  6. There is a difference because we played on saturday and then on monday. This is insane and this means zero time for real preparation. And I also think Lampard needs the dressing room behind him. Slaughtering everyone like Mourinho does will only give a toxic environment to the team. Lampard knows that he can't afford to lose the dressing room. This was also a mixed team. AC, Toni, CHO, Giroud and Azpi are non starters for instance. It was not the response we needed, but Lampard destroying the players in front of the media again against an in form Villa is not the way to go bro Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  7. To be fair, he slaughtered our players 2 days ago and after zero training, we were definitely better than against Arsenal, even though it was not much better. If he started to slaughter our players again, he would lose the dressing room. He knows most of his players are tired and low on confidence. Does not need to make it worse Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  8. We already knew that AC is not Chelsea level Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  9. Does Ole really get that much stick from pundits? From the interviews I have seen from Neville, Roy Keane and Scholes, all the time they say give Ole time and sacking him would not do Man United any good because they sack managers all the time and nothing has changed. They give for instance the players the fault for lack of individual quality and they are former world class players. For instance, Pogba is hyped up as one of the greatest football players in the world right now and in my opinion, he is not that good. He has so many weaknesses, I could open an own thread about how many big weaknesses he has currently and why he is failing. Still to this day, he has not found the right position for himself and is complete rubbish tactically. He was training under Mourinho and after that spell, he was still rubbish tactically. How is another coach going to turn Pogba into a "real" world class player and a tactical solid player when Mou failed tool or other coaches have failed miserably? You could argue why did it work You can argue that it is all the coaches fault, or you can argue that maybe Pogba is not good enough regardless who the coach is. You, as a coach can only give your players a certain amount of foundation. If the players fail at what you asked them to do, or just lack the quality of applying it, what is the coach supposed to do? No coach made Willian world class. No coach was able to turn Alonso into a defensive mastermind etc. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  10. It depends. Prime Suarez is much better than Griezmann overall in my opinion. I think Suarez is top 3 all time goal scorer at Barcelona and it did not take him that much time to do become top 3 at the list. Iniesta in his prime is better than Coutinho, regardless what position we are talking about. Coutinho also struggled at Bayern. So, yes Barcelona's invesments were mostly bad because they did not fit in their philosophy, but still the gap between Iniesta and Coutinho is huge or the gap between prime Suarez and Griezmann. Barcelona also won the CL with Luis Enrique, who I don't rate at all. 3 years after Pep. They won the La Liga title with Valverde, who was garbage. Like I said before, I think that Cesc, Matic and Oscar is better than Kante, Mount and Kai. Just the balance and the individual quality of our former midfield makes me think that our current midfield does not have the potential to play world class football because skill wise, we are worse than our old midfield. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  11. I think he might be my favorite right now. Also PL proven Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  12. I was just thinking. We used to have Cesc, Matic and Oscar. In my opinion, Oscar was a low level player that I actually scouted for a while before he came to us because I read that he was a Brazilian Modric. I was a huge fan of Spurs Modric and knew he was the real deal. So I watched him and came to the conclusion that Oscar was nothing like Modric and he was garbage [emoji23]. So, I really think Oscar was a poor player that could press and shoot well and nothing more. Nothing special to me, especially because I wanted a Modric [emoji24]. I would say that Mount is worse than Oscar. Stats probably say the same. Cesc is a one of a kind and all time PL legend. In my opinion, he has more creativity and passing technique than kante, Mount, Kovacic and Kai combined. This is how much I rated Cesc. Matic had his flaws, but was great overall. Kante is much better though. Overall, a midfield out of matic cesc and oscar had more balance than our current midfield. It actually had everything. Size, world class passing abilities because of Cesc and a goalscorer in Oscar, even though he was a bad player. Even they had periods when Cesc did not perform well and played bad under Mou and under Conte(cesc and Matic together because Conte sold Oscar because he saw the light). Our current midfield does not have either size and does definitely not have the same technique and creativity than our old midfield. This might be a mixture between lack of individual quality and bad coaching or just lack of individual quality. We played garbage under Mou, Conte and Sarri. But I remember teams like prime Barcelona changed managers frequently and still won titles because of their individual quality, regardless how shit the coaches were. When Xavi, Iniesta, Suarez etc regressed, Barcelona was over. Individual quality matters a lot. You will not make an average team turn into prime Barcelona. Not going to happen, regardless who the coach is. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  13. Maybe some players actually take credit for their bad performances. I mean, it is not like Lampard says to them "hey, just put 30 crosses per game and when you don't cross, just do sideway passes until you can cross it again without any variation of the cross". We have been through these periods many times. It is not the only time we lack creativity. Sarri Ball was boring as hell, Conte had his moments but second season was horrible and in Mou's second season, first half was very good but then we collapsed and Hazard alone won us the title in the end. But I remember those horrible Mou performances during second part of the season. Is it always the coachs fault? Mou definitely was fault in the third season when he did not see the obvious that Ivanovic was finished as a player at a top club. Conte came and benched him for good. Mou deserved the sack because he had his favourites, but I think Chelsea still should have done better because back then we had a much better midfield compared to now. Also, Hazard is much better than Pulisic and Costa better than our strikers. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  14. Omg, not that guy. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  15. We will get Declan Rice instead. Once in a while, he makes some decent passes [emoji849] Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  16. Havertz is creative, but only in the last third of the pitch, which he currently is not showing and I am also not sure if he really is a no. 8. Think he is more of a no. 10 or false 9. We have three creative players in our youth. We actually don't need to buy for instance Aouar. Billy is much more creative than Mount and Kova, Bate is also more creative than our three midfielders and Anjorin is also creative in the last third of the pitch, just like Kai. There is a reason why we score 3 to six 6 goals almost every youth match I watch. Clinical strikers, great crosses from Livramento, great passes from Anjorin and Bate. We currently have a new golden generation. Our last golden generation was Boga, Musonda, Ruben era. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  17. Happens when you sign only two world class player (Silva and Ziyech) and all the other players that were signed were still talents and need more time to shine. Takes time to develop and work on their weaknesses. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  18. Yeah, good luck competing with PSG Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  19. No, but very close according to Fabrizio Romano. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  20. Poch is gone bro. No chance he comes because he is also a Spurs legend. Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  21. Yes, but I forgot how bad he is with youth. Someone here on TC changed my mind Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  22. Our new golden generation of youth academy players can start looking for new clubs when Allegri comes in. Will be very painful for me Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  23. Do you not think that coaches tried teaching Willian how to cross? Mou failed, RDM failed, Conte failed. Not every player is meant to be a good crosser. Azpi is playing RB for many years and you would think that he should know some more crosses variations. But yes, you would think that Chelsea players should at least vary the crosses. I don't know why some players don't see the obvious. I remember a time at Barcelona, in which Dani Alves always put high crosses in the box where Messi was. Never worked either and I did not understand why he did not try to lower the cross or play passes instead [emoji23] Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  24. I don't think that our players have the quality to have different cross variations. Only James has the quality, but he had the quality since I was watching him play in the youth Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
  25. I thought he was better than Pulisic today Gesendet von meinem VOG-L29 mit Tapatalk
