  1. Well thats you me GZ and Aroop. I'd probably go for a 1-2-1 formation if Badboy can go in goal. We'll fucking walk it.
  2. If only No it's just obvious from what's been happening. By that token its impossible to say Arnesen is doing a brilliant job. He heads a scouting network that is highly unlikely to ever produce regular first teamers in 99% of cases , but will still hopefully reap a profit. He may be good at talent spotting, and the next Terry or Ronaldo may be amongst the Cobham contingent , but his primary role is procurement of young players to develop and sell on. Bit like pimping. Hopefully our next manager will play Stoch and Sinclair et al and have faith ala Ferguson and Wenger.
  3. I'd probably be up for it. silky skills still there ....-though probably only last 15 minutes
  4. Well we may be waiting a while -though I've a feeling an anouncement could be made tomorrow. The other thing about the Youth Academy is that it can pay for itself or generate a profit whilst fulfilling the facade of potential future first teamers. A factory farm that produces pedigree players for slightly lesser teams...
  5. Liked him in his band days http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rG3Nsz8tOqo...feature=related
  6. if only he could score a fucking penalty, new managers got to sell him sharpish
  7. We may have ''been told that Roman wants us to start using the academy'' but the difference between a rumour and reality is vast. The reality is its an irrelevance and lends credibilty to a nurturing myth. The reality is the demand for continuing success requires players are immediately bought in that have already attained the top level, barring an exceptonal talent.
  8. Arnesen has a great eye for spotting players, (or rather his 200 scouting staff do) of that theres no doubt - Gudjohnsen and Robben to name just two. I cant help thinking he was appointed by Abramovich in order to, yes, spot potentials, but by default stop other clubs having them. His role is pretty redundant at Chelsea, as top players will be bought in to fulfil that 'one of the best clubs in the world' status. The Corks and Jimmy Smiths might get a bit of look in with a new manager set up -one that encourages youth from within -but if that doesnt sit pretty with the demand for silverware season in and season out -the best they can hope for is the same old loaned out scenario. This is more than likely the outcome with 99% of the Youth Team.
  9. Depends if they come through though. Not one first team regular as yet. The Youth set up does not sit prettily with Kenyons World domination Vision -as for that 2010 'Top of the World' criteria the Worlds best need to be assembled immediately. With that pressure the Youth System is nothing more than window dressing.
  10. Has Arnesen done a brilliant job ? To me he seems to be living on past glories of 'discovering' Rudd Niistleroy etc and just parked himself at Chelsea raking in the loot. Cant think of anything hes done tbh -apart from tap up Nathan Porritt.
  11. Too prone to lapses in concentration -good on his day, but couldnt be relied upon for 'big' games. Good luck to the 'cannibal'.
  12. Some backroom staff remain as we've seen. What I would really like to see now is a candidate not too old -who will create a successful dynasty. Maybe too strong a word -but some continuity. Someone who will utilise Youth Team developers-not just go for kaka, Ronaldhino or whoevers the biggest star of the day
  13. Dozens. One of the worlds richest people. Abarmovich is a bit of an imbecile if the last candidate was anything to go by. distracted by his divorce and new minge methinks. Its Abramovichs club at the end of the day, he will make the decision -and he'll be looking for a combination of experience and malleability. btw it looks as though Rijkaard has dropped off the radar because Ten 'Crates is on his way out the door if press reports are to be believed. Due a meeting with Kenyon yesterday -a sacking- but was on holiday instead....
  14. It's not something to be rushed into - as we could end up with a fat waste of space Though the sooner its sorted the sooner we can get on with the exits and signings. Ancelotti allegedly met with Abramovich on Monday, but my money would still be on someone that Zahavi fronts.
  15. Abramovich listens most closely to Tenenbaum and Eugene Schvidler, he also takes counsel from Kenyon, who is backing the fans fave Sparky. 'Super' agent parasite Pini Zahavi, former Chelsea guvnor Bobby Campbell, Piet De Visser and Arnesen also chuck in their suggestions. Out of these, Abramovich is most likely to listen to Zahavi as it was him that brokered the buying of Chelsea for Abramovich. Zahavi has been banging on about Scolari -(he acts as his agent) Roberto Mancini and Eriksson -who he also just happens to act as agent for. So my money would be on Erikson or Scolari at the moment. Either way Zahavi will add another several million to his bank account
  16. ''That makes up for Moscow'' Hardly, Motson is such a bellend
  17. Dont think it is just a ..er....rumour tbh , he's going to tell Sky something different when confronted. I wouldnt trust the cunt as far as I could throw him, unlikely that all this is just a ...rumour. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle4010874.ece It's right up his street to get as much money as possible.
  18. Mark Hughes would be my choice -but realistically I wonder how long before he crossed swords with 30 % Abramovich.
  19. I do. His tactical ineptitude and clueless approach cost us the title, and it's nothing more than his retort to Mourinhos jibe about him having the philosophy of a loser. Good riddance to the dour faced parasite. Eight months of bleeding the club for cash - best he can hope for now is to fuck off back to Israel and drink his missus piss. Guaranteed no other top flight club will want him.
  20. Yeah fine mate -just having an extended bank holiday drinking session...and you ? ''Avram Grant, who was sacked as manager of Chelsea FC at the weekend, will not accept Chelsea's ₤5.2 million compensation offer and has recruited top lawyer Anthony Julius to act on his behalf. Grant is reportedly dissatisfied with the offer made by Chelsea, which had to pay his predecessor, Jose Mourinho, a £12 million severance package last year. Grant was initially hired by Chelsea at a salary of ₤980,000 a season, but this was later increased to ₤2.4 million a season, when he signed a four-year contract in December. The "Daily Telegraph" quoted a source close to the Israeli manager as saying that "he intends to fight for every penny he can get'' Israeli Post -also in The Times and Telegraph.
  21. Nice thinking Aroop so's Jose Kenyon and co would probably have stuck with Grant had some silverware come our way. Grant is sticking the knife in to Mourinho again now -saying it was Mourinhos shit start to the season that cost us the title , and he would have done it better (various media). Hes also suing Chelsea for more money, hes demanding a bigger pay off. Hes using the lawyer , Anthony Julius, who Heather Mills used in her divorce to bleed Paul McCartney dry.
  22. Its fucking great news and made my weekend despite the weather. Some of the media 'pundits' saying Chelsea FC have made a mistake etc, because Grant 'led us' , I mean for fucks sake 'led us' ??. -the bloke has been a total irrelevance since he wormed himself alongside Gaydemark at Pompey putting cones and bibs out, sucked up to Abramovich and instigated Mourinhos departure. No qualifications, tactically clueless, he inherited Chelsea Rolls Royce FC. -but he's got what he wanted -the best part of £10 million quid from Chelsea FC. OK you've got your dosh now fuck off. As CM said -lets see how much in demand clubs are for his 'skills' ? . Right now you can guarantee he, and his agent, are looking for the most high profile club they can , where he can slide in, where theres a strong backroom technical squad so he can do fuck all. In the history of Chelsea annuls -he's about the same, even worse than Ian Porterfield. I'm really happy hes gone -but still angry that for eight months -if we'd had anyone with any qualifications, and tactical knowhow, with that squad -it would have meant several pieces of silverware this season for Chelsea FC.
  23. Yup, agree with that . Just because you're a billionaire, doesnt neccessarily mean you're intelligent. Getting his mate Grant to ride the Chelsea wave is fine, but when circumstances in a match change, or you're in a silverware determining game -you need an experienced coach above all, someone who can motivate the players, and someone they respect. I think that's where the fine line between success and failure has been.
  24. He can be a moody cunt -all creative people are. I think if he was managed by Ferguson, Wenger, there'd be no problems. Conversely can you imagine Rooney, Ronaldo, Adebeyor being ..er..managed by Grant ? They'd all be way off the rails.
