Who Do You Want To Be The Next Manager?
Fulham Broadway replied to EskWeston's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
It's not something to be rushed into - as we could end up with a fat waste of space Though the sooner its sorted the sooner we can get on with the exits and signings. Ancelotti allegedly met with Abramovich on Monday, but my money would still be on someone that Zahavi fronts. -

Abramovich listens most closely to Tenenbaum and Eugene Schvidler, he also takes counsel from Kenyon, who is backing the fans fave Sparky. 'Super' agent parasite Pini Zahavi, former Chelsea guvnor Bobby Campbell, Piet De Visser and Arnesen also chuck in their suggestions. Out of these, Abramovich is most likely to listen to Zahavi as it was him that brokered the buying of Chelsea for Abramovich. Zahavi has been banging on about Scolari -(he acts as his agent) Roberto Mancini and Eriksson -who he also just happens to act as agent for. So my money would be on Erikson or Scolari at the moment. Either way Zahavi will add another several million to his bank account -
''That makes up for Moscow'' Hardly, Motson is such a bellend

Dont think it is just a ..er....rumour tbh , he's going to tell Sky something different when confronted. I wouldnt trust the cunt as far as I could throw him, unlikely that all this is just a ...rumour. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle4010874.ece It's right up his street to get as much money as possible.

Mark Hughes would be my choice -but realistically I wonder how long before he crossed swords with 30 % Abramovich. -
I do. His tactical ineptitude and clueless approach cost us the title, and it's nothing more than his retort to Mourinhos jibe about him having the philosophy of a loser. Good riddance to the dour faced parasite. Eight months of bleeding the club for cash - best he can hope for now is to fuck off back to Israel and drink his missus piss. Guaranteed no other top flight club will want him.
-
Yeah fine mate -just having an extended bank holiday drinking session...and you ? ''Avram Grant, who was sacked as manager of Chelsea FC at the weekend, will not accept Chelsea's ₤5.2 million compensation offer and has recruited top lawyer Anthony Julius to act on his behalf. Grant is reportedly dissatisfied with the offer made by Chelsea, which had to pay his predecessor, Jose Mourinho, a £12 million severance package last year. Grant was initially hired by Chelsea at a salary of ₤980,000 a season, but this was later increased to ₤2.4 million a season, when he signed a four-year contract in December. The "Daily Telegraph" quoted a source close to the Israeli manager as saying that "he intends to fight for every penny he can get'' Israeli Post -also in The Times and Telegraph.
-
Nice thinking Aroop so's Jose Kenyon and co would probably have stuck with Grant had some silverware come our way. Grant is sticking the knife in to Mourinho again now -saying it was Mourinhos shit start to the season that cost us the title , and he would have done it better (various media). Hes also suing Chelsea for more money, hes demanding a bigger pay off. Hes using the lawyer , Anthony Julius, who Heather Mills used in her divorce to bleed Paul McCartney dry.

Its fucking great news and made my weekend despite the weather. Some of the media 'pundits' saying Chelsea FC have made a mistake etc, because Grant 'led us' , I mean for fucks sake 'led us' ??. -the bloke has been a total irrelevance since he wormed himself alongside Gaydemark at Pompey putting cones and bibs out, sucked up to Abramovich and instigated Mourinhos departure. No qualifications, tactically clueless, he inherited Chelsea Rolls Royce FC. -but he's got what he wanted -the best part of £10 million quid from Chelsea FC. OK you've got your dosh now fuck off. As CM said -lets see how much in demand clubs are for his 'skills' ? . Right now you can guarantee he, and his agent, are looking for the most high profile club they can , where he can slide in, where theres a strong backroom technical squad so he can do fuck all. In the history of Chelsea annuls -he's about the same, even worse than Ian Porterfield. I'm really happy hes gone -but still angry that for eight months -if we'd had anyone with any qualifications, and tactical knowhow, with that squad -it would have meant several pieces of silverware this season for Chelsea FC.
-
Yup, agree with that . Just because you're a billionaire, doesnt neccessarily mean you're intelligent. Getting his mate Grant to ride the Chelsea wave is fine, but when circumstances in a match change, or you're in a silverware determining game -you need an experienced coach above all, someone who can motivate the players, and someone they respect. I think that's where the fine line between success and failure has been.
-
He can be a moody cunt -all creative people are. I think if he was managed by Ferguson, Wenger, there'd be no problems. Conversely can you imagine Rooney, Ronaldo, Adebeyor being ..er..managed by Grant ? They'd all be way off the rails.
-
Its no coincidence Drogbas performance has been erratic since Mourinhos departure, and the play acting has returned. He has an immature streak (dont we all ?) , and needs a manager he can respect, someone strong who can control him. At the end of the day he is a quality player, if he played for another team, people would be posting Youtube clips saying we have to buy him. Primarily, we need a coach the players respect who has tactical knowledge and can react to situations.
-
Well it wouldnt have even got to penalties if he hadnt cleared off the line. He's got to be down -but he'll bounce back. ' Ere John, it's only a game'. I cant get on Drogbas back like a lot of fans. Probably the same ones that slated, Ballack and Ashley -what a fucking performance from Ashley !?! btw. To me Drogba will always be a Chelsea great, and if his shot that hit the post had been six inches to the left he'd be feted as the best thing since Osgood. It is a lot of ifs and buts, but at the end of the day we lost UEFAs fucking lottery at the end -not the match.
-
It could have cost a point here and there. That was the forte of Robben and Duff (for all their fragility), and it panics defences. I noticed ManYoo had Riverdance attacking Essien when we expected him to be on Ashley Coles side.
-
I mean who would people rather offload Drogba or Anelka ? On the Moscow performance I think Anelka showed his mercenary colours. Not really up for it, and decidedly unfit. I'm not sure we need another midfield 'playmaker' though Ribery is pretty versatile, and a good winger that can switch from right to left would make all the difference. With Kalou and Cole only one is really needed.... I cant see Kenyon going mad and sanctioning a mass buy in unless theres a mass exodus.
-
The 7 subs could make a difference. If players were voted out on popularity Malouda would be out as well. I would like to see him and Drogba stay, fans are quick to want Drogba out -I reckon he's been misquoted a lot of the time -why dont the press pick on old 'bacon neck' Tevez for misquotes ? OK Drogba shouldn't have bitch slapped Vidic , but glad he did in a way. As long as we keep the main core, and get a coach in who is qualified, we will be stronger next time.
-
Most important for me is the coach.... We have to look at the exits..more than likely .. Drogba Ben Haim SWP Sheva Belletti Pizzaro Sidwell So from that perspective, probably more than two. I think the youth system will again be shown up for being just a niceity, as quality players will be bought in rather than nurtured.
-
Michief is right. In the cold light of day the officials were really off the mark We should have had 3 corners that were given as goal kicks. Also in hindsight when Rio nearly took Joe Coles head off that to me was a clear penalty. Anyway it's gone now. Its just gutting that we were the better team, and the game was in effect decided on the toss of a coin. OK the Riverdance Poofta had the better of Essien to get their goal, but Wayne'Granny Shagger' Rooney was made to look like a pub team player. I've had texts and e mails of a yellow bollard with 'Beware Slippery' sign and a pic of Terry, and a picture of Chelsea Slippers marketed as 'Terrys Boots' from Man Utd fans. Not proud to say but I responded with 'Whos that lying on the runway' soundfile of singing Man City fans. Shut them up though.

New Manager Search, Summer 2008
Fulham Broadway replied to changingman2000's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
There seems to be some movement today with the board From Chelsea Mad Following on from last night's Champions League defeat, all of Chelsea top-brass including, it's believed Roman Abramovich, have decended on SW6 to pick over the bones of the crushing defeat. What should have being Roman's crowning glory in his own back-yard, turned into a humbling experience and it's one that he will not want repeated next season. Chelsea have signed just one player for next season and are struggling to come to terms with who to keep on. New deals for Lampard and Drogba are being complicated by the uncertainty of Grant's future. Once that is decided, players will know if they want to stay or go. Other new players will know who the coach will be and if they want to play for him. To that end, it's expected that today's summit meeting will have one thing on the agenda and that is to sack Grant or back him? The word from inside the camp is that Roman is happy with Grant and will want to return him to his boardroom job of director of football. But the Russian will also demand a new coach to take the club onto the next level. More expected later today -
Seem to remember some disorder after that one as well -police so often look to create a ruck Lol not sure Aroop -pub quiz question, Egypt ? Germans have it sussed with beer http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1554997.html
-
You need to recover after all that. Came into work still cunted. Yeah cops running over fans http://www.talkchelsea.net/forum/index.php...pic=1886&hl=
-
No need to be racist. But you're right England -and Scotland (CM 2000) probably world champs at drinking, and general disorderliness. And having dogshit on pavements.
-
True. We were by far the better team apart from the first 30. Funny to see his bullnecked lady boy try and fool Cech and fuck up royally. Scholes should have walked for that elbow, and they play a lot of negative back to the keeper rubbish. All in all they were spawny as fuck last night, just as they were in 1999.
-
Clark Kent ? No hes a yank but in the New York Man Utd Supporters Club. Never been to Old Trafford though Ferguson crapping on about his 'best team ever' 'deserved win' what a cant.
-
Understandable. Its like something you love, say your mum marrying an evil stepdad. btw I'm still pissed from last night. Thats pissed as in drunk, not the wanky yank way of saying annoyed.
