Who Do You Want To Be The Next Manager?

top choon BB. and another -manager can wait -
The Premiership is the 'strongest' league in the world, in terms of players and generating revenue worldwide from TV rights. This is a clear plan to weaken the Premiership -and strengthen the leagues in Italy, Spain etc. A Platini Blatter cunning plan. It may create a more level playing field for European Leagues, but the restriction of 'foreigners' will have a detrimental effect on developing countries. FIFA will run into opposition, not just from the EU, but also from Sky and TV companies who will see their Premiership cash cow diminish.

He really will not realistcally ever be a Chelsea first teamer. Funny how it's Pompey -an Israeli owned club. Whats the betting Grant gets a 'position' where a there is jewish ownership. ? I dont think anyone else will employ him.

Wish it was more than a rumour. Not good enough in my eyes -prob end up at Charlton, Palace or Tel Aviv.

Much more democratic. The club have allegedly been refused permission to talk to Ancellotti. To me this shambles just highlights what a fuck up Romans ego caused by removing Mourinho. Abramovich knows he fucked up which is why he bought Mourinho a £2 million Ferrari last weekend. -
It'll also restrict potentials from the sub saharan continent, Africa and South America in my eyes.

Alex Ferguson ~ A Lesson in Hypocrosy
Fulham Broadway replied to changingman2000's topic in Football Chat
Good thread CM. He might get results from that stern, bullying streak -but he's a prize cunt mostly. Driven primarily by greed, the one time self proclaimed socialist HAHAHAH!, can be his own worst enemy. The bust up with Alan Green was one thing with the BBC, the other was the BBC screening a documentary 'Father and Son' in which his spawn, Darren 'The Wifebeater' , was seen to be totally unethical and basically a criminal raking in millions with his 'Elite' sporting agency. Old Purple Face did not like that. If ManUtd ever get into serious financial difficulty-ie they find it difficult to pay off the £800 million debt, the blame can be left at the feet of purple face. His spat with Magnier over the ownership of the horse Rock of Gibraltar, resulted in Magnier and McManus selling their 30% share in the club. This, (as there was no major shareholder left) , opened the door open for the Glazier freaks to leech onto the club by borrowing hundreds of millions. Mc Manus and Magnier kindly said to Sir Alex, you can have a share of the horses winnings. Ferguson then took them to court saying that they said 'the horse is mine'. The greedy mutimillionaire just wants more and more. Fine Govan Socialist principles there. Hes one of my prize hates -and I've always relished us beating them more than Liverpool or anyone else. -
Is it the usual wibble from Blatter as he dribbles and rocks in his chair, or a brainwave that will encourage youth development programmes, like the one at Cobham we were on about yesterday Football's governing body Fifa has endorsed president Sepp Blatter's 'six-plus-five' principle, which would limit the foreign players in a team to five. He wants to bring in the proposal by 2012/2013 - but the European Commission says it is discriminatory and illegal. Good idea or what ?

Am thinking the same. The more I think about it the less I want an 'established' winner. Someone qualified , definitely, but someone with Chelsea in his heart already, would be a strong criteria. Someone like you or me. If we were qualified. Which we're not. btw did you ever pursue that refereeing lark ? -

As I said not neccesarily a smart move to get an experienced dinosaur -just there for the £5 million a year. ManUtd had Ferguson after one Aberdeen cup win , and stuck with the potential. -

Exactly. Look at what the Israeli cardboard cutout ''achieved'' with the resources at his disposal. Hughes has a sharp footballing brain, exemplified by his recent BBC punditry where he shut up Hansen , Shearer etc. -
Lol, but seriously do we want a ganja smoking clog wearer ? Ten Cates was always nipping over to the 'Dam for a smoke and a few prossies.

Yeah but do we really want a Dutchman ?

Drogba calls Chelsea fans glory hunters !
Fulham Broadway replied to Badboy's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
If it's true I agree to a certain extent. Drogba will be seen in the future as a Chelsea great, and I definitely am not one to slag him off for bitch slapping Vidic and getting sent off. If Lampard or Terry had done that, people would be defending them. Drogba is used to fan loyalty at Marseille, and the Chelsea fans that cried tears for Terry because he missed the penalty seem a bit Anglo- centric - I havent heard one consolation word concerning Anelkas miss. Drogba has also been misquoted loads of times, and has been a constant target of the media for diving, when other players who do the same are conveniently ignored. Hes the big black bogey man for a lot of people -
And you edited that ? Lot of prejudice against the Welsh - fucken sound people in the main. Chelsea FC saved by a Joey Jones goal donchaknow, ...and I bet you'd give Charlotte Church one

Chelsea need continuity of managership. If they get Scolari, Mancini, it'll last max 3 years, probably less, with Abramovichs quest for instant gratification. I would like Hughes or a 'hungry to win' younger manager be given the long term option. The first season may be silverware free, worse than Grants season where he just sat doing fuck all, if the manger has to introduce new players. But, I'd sacrifice a season to see long term growth and success. No one thought much of Ferguson or Wengers first season, but the respective boards had the foresight to spot long term potential and the rewards of continuity of permanent stewardship -
Well he's the fans choice by a mile. Intelligent and understated, which explains his Blackburn success, I really think we should go for a 'hungry' name such as Hughes rather than an established old timer. He could play up front as well now and then.

Well Hughes is definitely the fans choice -but will Abramovich try and court public favour by appointing him ? Sky has Big Phil as favourite again now. -

Filthy lucre. Plus, they worked together at SS Lazio. As it stands all options still seem open at the moment though Rijkaard seems less likely.....
