On the goal of Torres, he makes a great run on the right.

Newcastle was the perfect opponent after the wednesday game. That was such a difference of pace between this match and the match against reading. They have no midfield game, waiting for the opponent and then launching their forwards. Hazard didn't had a good game, not the legs and movement he had against Reading. Torres for me was our man of the match. The only one that didn't seem tired after the reading match.
-
I don't understand how they can have such a poor midfield.
-
Yes a calm head but we need someone that can do both, slow and speed up things. I'm not sure Dembele can speed up things when needed.
-
Yes but I think his problem upfront was that he lacked a rythm change to speed up things and a lack of creativity. I'm not sure he would fit in the new playing style we want with quick passing in midfield.
-
Great ball holder and good work ethic but doesn't move the ball quickly enough for me.
-
They can't, that would leave too much space for Mata, Lampard in midfield and Ramires or Sturridge if they do it.
-
Maybe using him in a link-up position and less track-back to do. He's a very talented player but he needs to add more muscle and work on his fitness. I think that's why they play him upfront for the midfielders to link-up with him and do the runs.
-
Yes, when on the edge inside of the box, often the defenders stay with him and dared not to challenge him, fixing a defender and leaving space for run behind him or a simple pass backwards to a midfielder going to the box.
-
At Lille, it was not rare that he had 3 players on him on many occasions, the fullback, winger and defensive midfielder. If Lille had better skilled players around, they would have been better against better opponents. The other midfielders excepting Cabaye the year of the title were not very skilled to use wisely the space to do damage to opponents. That's why I can see him doing much better at Chelsea, he will be rested when needed and won't have to overdo things like he sometimes dit at Lille.
-
Lol. But seriously it was for a poker event held by Partouche, a sponsor of Lille.
-
Maybe waiting for the press conference.
-
I could see him doing what Gervinho did at Lille. Offer pace on counter attacks, running at the fullbacks and with some time and understanding between him and the likes of Mata and Hazard making great runs between the fullbacks and center backs for 1-1 against the keeper. And he can't have worse composure than Gervinho. you can always use that kind of player. Sturridge could also do the same if he had the mentality to do it.
-
Lol at the two reading players in the beginning on either side of Eden Hazard to not let him turn and then he backs it straight to Ramires. His back to goal play is one of his great strength.
-
That's what great in that partnership. A team can't both nullified them by putting bodies on them.
-
As Pizy said, Cavani would be a great signing. He has more versatility to his game than Torres. With the offensive midfielders we have, we need a striker that can play either with his back to goal or use his space and he's a great header.
-
He had a good match except a 10 minute patch where he lost quite a few balls. I like his partnership with Hazard in midfield in spanish fashion
-
Peter Cech mistake was to make the match more thrilling
-
He scored but I understand why he doesn't play that much for spain. He made some bad passes and decision during this match while he could have set a chelsea player to score in the box.
-
I would like to see Oscar and Hazard on the pitch. I think Reading will sit very deep and will not push us like Wigan. I think Oscar could use greatly Hazard with his back to goal.
-
He has light feet. He's often on his toes, not all the foot planted on the ground. In Judo, the opponent could pass him easily upside him with the position of his feet in the football pitch.
-
Even if he play good, I think we should buy a forward that is good with his back to the goal.
-
I wonder if the ref didn't give a red card to Caldwell because we were up 2-0. I found this about Caldwell. He apparently did the same on a friendly international. http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/socceroos/lucas-neill-says-gary-caldwells-crude-tackle-on-brett-holman-could-have-cost-the-socceroo-an-epl-debut/story-e6frf4l3-1226451906623

He will be better in a month when he will lose a few pounds.

Cech isn't that type of goalkeeper unfortunately.
