  1. Yes you can and with these two players it's easy to see from the beginning of a match if they are in form or have fatigue. When you are knackered, you are slower to react, your coordination is not good, you're not capable of doing huge efforts. Top speed (as it's a very high intensity work-out) is what is going down quickly when you're not at your top condition. You are stiffer when you've been pushing your body too much. It's not like us but have you ever done a big work-out when you've pushed yourself too much and the days after, you're barely able to move as usual. To stay in topic, like some said, many are way too harsh on Salah. He's new to the team and if the rest were poor, why would you expect him to be good when our team play was awful.
  2. Great view. Wish that at Stamford Bridge the run-in to Corner was more like that as the taker can have normal steps before kicking the ball.
  3. I didn't understand why before the match, many were saying this was a weak City team. For me it was a stronger team than the one we were playing in the league. Garcia Milner with Toure is stronger than Demichelis Toure. And the fullbacks could attack being less exposed. Jovetic with Dzeko is better than Dzeko Negredo as Jovetic can play a bit deeper between the lines, causing more problems for the center backs and defensive midfielder. And Navas is a one trick pony, always going outside on his right foot for a cross.
  4. What is worrying is that it seems our midfielders are being burned out way too early. The fact that hey have to make so many runs when we lose the ball because our back line is deep, is what is killing them. They have to run so much to create, and then run some more when we are losing the ball. And our squad is bigger than last year and the schedule much less heavier. That's my main critic about Mourinho, the attacking midfielders are killing themself against the average teams because they have to do too much against these teams. First half against Hull was a blueprint of that, we had the 4 attacking players with no support that had to do everything in attack against 8 sitting players.
  5. With our back 4 very static in the build-up, they could mark us tight and even cut passing lanes as they know our back line doesn't run into midfield to open things.
  6. Some players have played too much since december. And our play is very taxing for players like Ramires, Willian Hazard, Oscar (even if he has missed some games).
  7. This season, we've been average playing from the back. the passing side to side and a central defender breaking the first line of pressing was quicker under Benitez. Against the teams that let our central defenders have the ball, we've been average, they can have 10 players behind the ball against 5-6 players and man marking, cutting all passing options. If our back 4 were quicker to pass the ball and was pushing higher, we could play quicker passes as the back line and midfield would be closer to each other.
  8. I don't know why some are so harsh on Salah. Nothing was working today. Don't know why you would pick on him being lost as many others were also lost today. What is frustrating is that we lose too much energy against the average mediocre teams of this league while we should be able spend more matches, passing them out of the park. City against average teams only have to play 20-30 minutes, the rest they can relax, making a passing exercise the rest of the game.
  9. The difference is also that if the other team let Man City have the ball, they know what to do. Not us, our play is too laboured and too slow. If our attacking players are not in great form, they can't really rest on our passing game.
  10. We need to use more players of our squad. Today was like one of our awful matches of the beginning of the season.
  11. We have no chance to come back with the defence sitting so deep.
  12. Dzeko, Negredo Navas, only De michelis behind Toure, they were leaving much more space in midfield for our counter-attacks. Here they let our back line have the ball, their zone press being around 60 meters of their goal. I know many here laugh about triangles, but in our build-up, we seem to have none, our players are too isolated from their teammates and as Manchester City leave no space for quick transitions, we look clueless.
  13. That's our problem this season. If we have not space behind the opposite midfield, we seem clueless. Like our only attacking option relies on when the opposition lose the ball for a quick transition.
  14. Pelligrini is more cautious this time. Milner will cover when Zabaleta will be going forward.
  15. Good continental players will avoid United if they have other good options for their career. Of the "top" english clubs" it's the worst for continental players. All technical players would prefer to play for Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool if they have cl than Manchester United.
  16. Moyes is so stupid. Playing him on left midfield, he can't turn to his right carrying the ball, passing it with his right foot and can't go outside going past a player. At least on the right, he can turn to his left and put his body between the opponent and the ball.
  17. I had also a bad feeling, especially when I was reading that it snowed in the afternoon in that region and meaning that the pitch would be quite heavy, as that is the worst conditions for our offensive players that are relying on quick change of direction.
  18. I don't understand the hands behind the back that some players do, ok if you're in your box and just staying in your position is good but otherwise you're just hampering yourself as you can't move and have a quick reaction with your hands in your back.
  19. I think our problem this year against this kind of team is that if our offensive players don't make difference, we are struggling and even if they do, they have not often good options in the box as we often have seen players in the box do the same run towards the small box and not differents runs to stretch the defenders and not have them have easy by staying in line. The fullbacks are also much less used in the build-up of play. As our central defender are staying deeper, it means our fullbacks and central midfielders have less margin to do damages in the opponent half. Against Hull, in the first half, they were doing an analysis of our play and it was the 4 offensive players that had to do everything in the final third against 8 defensive players, not very easy.
  20. To think that last year, we had to play with a schedule like that all year.
  21. Don't mind if we lose. It seems like we have difficulties when we have more than one match a week. Especially as our style of play is much more taxing on the attacking midfielders this year. Salah Schurrle should start the game and counter-attacks will be suited to them.
  22. Didn't see the match but saw that 9 of 14 shots have been from Willian and Ivanovic. Was it a case of the opposition shutting down left and central area and letting a bit more space on the right? Maybe it's time for Salah to have more minutes on the right if the opposition will use this tactic. And use Cole and Azpi as fullbacks, especially if the right winger of the opposition is not a pace whore.
  23. He's quite lucky that Chelsea won the champion's league. At Man Utd with the dinosaur tactic he would have been wasted. And at Man City, i think the dressing room is filled with too many cunts.
  24. Vandamme he would only have to play 15 minutes on some matches to win for us is what was bothering me when he was at Lille. Like against St-etienne, I remember, he was pedestrian for about 30 minutes, and in the 15-20 minutes he played at higher speed, he killed them. And the way to manage him is what I was feeling when watching him since the beginning of his career. Like the dutch do with their young players, they are tough but in the same time they have a good philosophy of football and the players can believe in them.
