    As I said before - cringeworthy thread, serving only ingroup outgroup points of views to be displayed with absolutely no intention of hearing each other out. A politics thread/arena should only be entered when there is at least the will to listen and the option your own position could be false. Before anyone shoutes: 'what do you know!', mediators and negotiators are picked for exactly that - being a third neutral party. Some things soldiers (or terrorists) do for 'the cause' can never be made ethical. Period. It takes guts to get away from the tit for tat. Ask all the dove Rabin that is killed for it, hell: ask Gandhi.

    According to your own statement, the Liverpool situation and ours cannot be compared - especially for strikers. However, I think Sturridge is really good, but Lukaku's ceiling as a pure striker is heigher and he is proving his quality in number, not hypotheticals. Daniel might have, if he could have .. We will never know. So yes: a shout saying we should just switch the two is short term hyperbole imo, Skip.

    I did not say that to compare whatsoever. I made that statement to illustrate that saying 'id trade him for Sturridge' is just the kind of short term knee jerk you get around here. Also, every player is 'in his different situation/scenario'. It doesn't mean I cannot react on the original implied comparison involved.

    I agree with Torres and Ba, but swapping Lukaku would be ludicrous. A 20-year old that is also goal scoring ? Sturridge scored 11 in 30 games at 20. Lukaku has that in 19 games and also already equals Sturridge current assist tally/game. It kinda looks very short term to me.
