  1. Now let's beat these guys as well! 4-1 win here.
  2. Hazard MOTM for me .... no doubt. He made the difference on the pitch (yt again). I told you and will tell you all again. He is going to be our world beater star! PS: I hated the way Rami got skinned and introduced the first goal. wtf.
  3. We are close to a solution! I think we need a good, reliable DM. This way he can partner in the pivot with KDB who has the passing range, precision, technique, vision and speed of execution we lack now in the pivot area. Also partnering im with a true DM - powerfull, range, ball recuperation and a reliable passing game. - will stabilise us more defensively. Oscar can take the cm role in rotation with KDB, maybe ... Above else, we will need a manager that dares to switch that pivot around.

  5. The total football philosophy with him, Rinus Michels, ...... I love(d). Not the tikki tikka, but its ancestor: high pressure, active, change poitions (ow - see of our dynamic three), dare to go wide .... :-)
  6. Aah Kelly Slater, surf Champ deluxe! Our dear Demwit loves a good surf apparently!
  7. Just call him Slater. Ps, Slater: welcome friend!! I already enjoined our talks on here!
  8. X-men, Charles Xavier :-) Could have been Debbie Does Dallas too ....
  9. That sounded strangely sexual .........
  10. You can't back out now. Coward! :-) Romper Stomper
  11. True. He gets overlooked way to often. I said that months ago and it hasn't improved much. Pity, cause we now know what happens if he gets the ball while running ...
  12. So what do we want? do we want a striker that has close chest controls and perfectly placed volleys while dribbling 3 opponents? I am not sure Lukaku could NOT do these things (see his goals), but what we have been lacking is a clinical finisher. He is the real deal when this is the issue, even at 19 in the EPL. He did it at Anderlecht being 16 and becoming the Jupiler League topscorer in 2010, he did it in europe scoring his first two goals against Ajax on the highest stage in december 2009 (Thats more then 3 years ago! He was sixteen then - he totalled 4 goals during that short Anderlecht campaign) and he did it with the NT scoring 8 goals so far. I personally loved seeing him rip Russia open! See below for the power house goal - his first and second for the NT ... and what a goal it is!! check that second goal :-) So .... GET THAT GUY BACK HERE AND PUT HI IN A BLUE SHIRT INSTEAD OF TORRES Booya! :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf: :blue scalf:
  13. He can do that every game as far as I am concerned!! Awesome game.
  14. A long term vision/manager, some time and a little fan-patience is all we need... Our current 'crop' is truly exceptional, I believe! Still, though I agree with The only place to be, I share Peace's opinion on having a target man option up front - especially if we make it to a CL spot (WICH WE WILL - DO YOU HEAR ME RAFA!!). MMmmm, Cavani :-)
  15. Lukaku himself said in that belgian interview that he is NOT a target man, and probably never will be. He prefers putting more depth in his game instead of footballing with his back to the goal. He simply has different qualities (strength, speed - the only one faster is Hazard in the NT, he said, and his nose for goals). As is Peace, I love Cavani. Not for the hype (eg Falcao) but for his player profile. I do see a match in playing our midfield + Cavani. Also, we would have options playing with two strikers (cavani/Lukaku or ba). Somehow it computes in my brain. So, do we put faith in youth? Yes! But we put some additional experience, quality and the position of target man in the blender. One does not rule out the other in this case. Ps: we will prolly still need to 'malouda' Torres though.
