How do you guys rate this guy? We already know from his period at Cercle that he's a goalscoring poacher-type of striker? Is he capable of playing as a targetman holding up the ball as well? The number one striker at Genk is Onuachu, 6ft 7in tall, who scored 33 goals last season. We were expected to lose him in the summer to one of the Premier League clubs, but the 25 million euros price tag seems to be too much for now. Ugbo will probably be second striker as long as Onuachu stays. With games in the EL as well, there will be plenty of game-time for Ugbo though. Thanks!

Are you sure of those numbers?

The Wolfsburg manager NEVER said that about De Bruyne.
-
De Bruyne lazy... Question his defensive ability and risk-taking for all I care, but calling him lazy couldn't be more wrong. Wolfsburg and City-fans would say you're delusional. In his second game for Chelsea, he played a bad game at Man Utd, like most Chelsea-players did in that game. De Bruyne was the only player that got punished for it by Mourinho and he didn't respond in the way Mourinho would have liked. Knowing De Bruyne I can imagine he wasn't training in the most positive way at that time. So I won't say that De Bruyne leaving Chelsea was just Mourinho's fault. But, and it's a big but for someone who considers himself to be a special manager, as a manager at that level, you should see which players can offer something special to your team and you should try/do everything to bring the best out of those players. Not every player responds in the same way when being publically slated by their manager while being ignored by that same manager. Mourinho should have seen that De Bruyne is a better player than Schurlle and that he can offer something different than Willian or Oscar. I'm quite sure that the price tag of the players involved plays a part in those decisions, while it shouldn't. Mourinho should have given De Bruyne a bit more confidence, especially when it was only his first few months in the Premier League and at a top level team. In my opinion, that's everything there's to it. Mourinho treated De Bruyne in a certain way and De bruyne didn't respond in the way Mourinho would have liked. Mourinho made a mistake imo to leave it at that, he should have done more as he should have seen De Bruyne's potential and special talent. Maybe he'll take that with him and do things a little bit different in the future. But then again, it's Mourinho...

Had a bad start of the second half, like the rest of the team. But he crossed the ball for Mertens' gigantic miss in the first half, assisted Mertens for the first goal, scored the second goal and hit the post in the dying minutes. Not bad for his worst game.
-
And pre-assist for the second goal. Much better playing on the left then on the right.

You're talking about defensive ability, Kellzfresh was talking about workrate. Imo the distance a player covered in a game is a pretty good criteria for a player's workrate. Still, KDB isn't the same player as he was 2 years ago. When he was at Chelsea he was young and still adapting to the PL. At the moment I wouldn't say he's more of a defensive liability then other attacking midfielders in the PL. His tactical awareness is pretty good, offensive and defensive. His biggest defensive flaw is that sometimes he takes risks in positions he shoudn't, as demonstrated against Tottenham. But other then that, his workrate is top noch and he's won quite a few balls at City. He'll never be a defensive genius, but that's not necessary in his position. I've just got the feeling that some people here keep the "workrate and defensive liability"-story alive, only to justify Mourinho's decision of letting him go. Watch some more games of KDB at City and the Belgian NT and you'll see that most of the time he's one the hardest working players on the pitch.
-
You can say this a thousand times more, doesn't make it anymore true. In any of his City games, KDB was one the players with the highest workrate and distance run. In the West Ham-game he ran the most miles of every players, including the opposition players. City-fans are impressed with his workrate, especially when playing as a number 10. You can't fault KDB for workrate.
-
Looking at his workrate and team-play today, your comments are ridiculous. Don't think there's one City fan today who's thinking KDB puts himself above the team.
-
Reports in Belgium that he injured his knee in training. Chelsea will try to have him ready for Everton, but also fear he'll miss a couple of games.
-
She's not even the first physio to run on to the pitch? Why isn't the other physio getting the same treatment?

Was a guest in a TV-show in Belgium yesterday evening. The entire show was build around Courtois. Hasn't heard anything from Real Madrid, just speculation from the media. Rates his own value around 50 million euro's when asked about the 100 million in the media. Said he'll stay at Chelsea.
-
His debut in 2009, six years ago :
-
Why would you compare KDB to Cabaye? Very different players and positions.
-
Not every Belgian speaks French. De Bruyne is from Gent where Flemish is the language.
-
Like I said, an opportunity for the technical staff to make TC even better. If TC has been too long off his line too much in previous games, surely the coaches would have pointed this out to him already. So I dare to say that his position was right 5 seconds before Adam's shot, but he could/should have repositioned sooner when Hazard lost the ball.
-
I think you're wrong on that one : Charlie Adams' long range efforts since 10/'11 (green = on target) Jamie Carragher stated that Adam tried it all the time at Liverpool, even when the goalkeeper was almost standing on his line.
-
Β² This wasn't even a shocking mistake. Adams execution was absolutely perfect. Courtois' position wasn't bad either, anticipating through-balls from Stoke. There's a big difference between making a shocking mistake and situations where maybe you should do better next time. For me, this wasn't a real mistake from Courtois, but together with the staff they will try to handle these situations better in the future. Maybe he should take a step back sooner when Stoke got the ball. It's up to the technical staff to analyse what is more important : anticipating long/through-balls or anticipating these kind of shots. Dropping Courtois because of this goal would be a shame, it's nothing more then an opportunity to make him even better then he already is.
-
In his defense, 5 seconds before Adams strikes, the ball was at Stokes penalty area. At that moment, his position was justified. Maybe he could have repositioned a little bit sooner, but nobody would expect a strike like Adams.

Isn't it the managers job to get the best out of every player? To get the best out of players who can do positive things for your team. You can't treat every player the same way and expect all of them to perform at their best level. Some players need to be teased, some players you need to provoke into better performances. Some players play better when they are mad because being left out of the squad without being talked to. Other players need confidence and communication with their manager. In my opinion, the best managers know how to get the best out of all these players.
-
There are differences between KDB and Mata. KDB covers more distance and plays a more direct style then Mata. De Bruyne is also a player who likes to run into space, even behind the defence. Where as Mata is more a player that likes to come short.
-
He is playing with Eden in the Belgium NT. That's not stopping him from playing very well and being decisive for them too. After the last game there were some doubts about them playing together, but it was bullshit imo. The problem wasn't Eden taking away space from KDB, the problem was other players doing so. Chadli was also drifting inside and the fullbacks were instructed NOT to overlap. This resulted in no width for the team and no space for the attacking players. They can play together perfectly, as long as the rest of the team let's them play together. Anyway, any team could use a player like KDB. And I'm still convinced that, had he gotten the chances that Willian, Oscar and Schurlle were getting, he wouldn't have performed less then any of them. Playing one or two games and then being left out for a month is very difficult for a player trying to convince his manager.
-
I'm still in doubt about this one. Yes, he rushes out a little bit and has to track back, but at the moment Silva heads the ball, he is almost in perfect position? No goalkeeper is standing exactly on the goalline at that moment? Edit : his position :
