Tell me, which of these random facts you listed there has anything to do with the debate? It does not matter how many midfielders they got. They lack goals and quality in the centre. We also got shitloads of CAMs. Nonetheless Marin or Piazon make us any better. Lamps is 34. however. giggs and scholes were about as old in 2008. Both played and won the CL final that. year. So again, irrelevant.

I also doubt it, but it would be interesting to see him at Juventus. Probably they will not be able to afford his wages, but a midfield of Lamps-pirlo-vidal looks appetizing. Also in Italy there is far more respect and use for aging players. It would suit Lamps and he always liked Italien football. He could replace Marchisio, who is skilfull but a mediocre passer and an even worse finisher than mata.

???? Their midfield is shit. Lamps is far better and about as productive as all of their central midfielders combined, he would give them goals and quality in the middle, they would have a midfield general, Everything they have been lacking for ages. +they would have a reliable penalty taker +his ability of scoring late and decisive goals would be even more lethal in Fergie time Lamps would be about the perfect signing for ManU, that is why I hope he will not go there. i would not blame him, cos that is his best option to continue playing at the top level while remaining in England. its not that he was going to an arch rival only to a title contender. But as things stand we won't compete with ManU for titles till the end, cos we will find it hard enough to secure international football if we let Lamps, Cole go and sign weakish kids and coaches like Benitez.
-
He may not be majorly at fault, cos he simply is no more than an average coach with some ok defensive tactics, but a high-scoring win and losses in every big game no matter how bad the opposition is just seems to be very much like Scolari. Only because they won big titles ages ago they are no great coaches after all. Guys like Ancelotti, Mourinho got consistent success but benitez' teams had been shit since 2009. He took over two CL winners and fucked up with either's decent squad. You can blame Torres, but it is Benitez who picked him and Benitez who should know about his habit of going missing when it counts. Mata's been shit for a while now, reminds one of last season when there also was a stark contrast between his first and second half of the season.
-
Its so much like under Scolari. Pull of a high-scoring victory more than once, but lose all the important games.
-
Mata so shit today. useless corners, awful freekicks, horrendous finishes
-
Michael laudrup looks like charlie sheen
-
ha Oscar and hernandez in the battle of weakasses
-
I would love to see Luiz+Lamps+Mazacar+Ba at some stage this game. Michu cold as ice, what a horrible mistake, completely against the run of play.
-
One tiem Torres makes a good run, but Mata does not expect it and shoots himself
-
mata is sooooo wasteful. Lamps would have scored that.

Ohhhh yeeeeeeees, thank youuu sooo much, I would never ever in a hundred years have figuered out myself that Lamps took most of our set pieces. Well that changes everything of course, forgive me for being so dumb not to consider that. We have to rewrite history, zolayes figuered out that lamps took our set pieces, I have to drastically change my opinion now, god thank you, I mean how shit is it to be a prolific penalty taker, that makes a player so much less great, cos it is so easy, that is why mata tried it...and soon stopped, becuase penalty taking so extremely easy that it only spoils a player and should make every fan reconsider his opinion about players that take penalties.Yes lets always take away penalties from the goal tally. Yeah lets also take away tap ins, and why not also take away headers, hey, why bother counting goals at all?

The truth is that no-one knows what will happen to the club after he leaves, but the board are putting us in a pretty strong position for that eventuality. The type of fan condemning us to failure before we even begin this new period in the club's life isn't the type of fan we really need in all honesty. But Lamps is the player who transformed Chelsea from a good to a world-class club. We were worse before and will be worse after, cos the board lets the legacy of the old guard go to waste. The board is overloading us with weakish, wasteful fair-weather footballers and taunting everything the club stands for. Clubs with more history than Chelsea have given their legends like Giggs, Raul, Maldini contracts as long as they wanted and it paid off. Lampard is far greater than all of them but still does not get his. This is simply a shame. I have followed a decade without a title for German football. That has taught me to recognize the early signs of oncoming gloom. u try to find excuses for Mata's decline in the latter stages of last season again. Hence you confirm my point. I don't give a fuck why he went downhill (first season bla bla), fact he was not there when the team needed a leader, a big time player. So why should it be different now? My assumption of his performances and goal rate going down is at least based on experience, other than your idiotic "25 goals, 30 assists" season bullshit projection. Were it also you brain-wanking about your imagination of that infamous "25 goals 30 assits season" being bettr than Lamps's best? Lamps had 27 goals and 19 assists in 2009/10 + a decnet number of goals in international games. Wake me up when Mata has done that. I guess you can drop the act.
-
+ Lamps is the face of Chelsea, even more after the departure of Drogba. the board will fall out with the fans after Drogba, RDM, Benitez now even Lamps...? Sth goes horribly wrong there
-
The period of Lamps's absence (in which we won only one of 8 games) is an early sign of the longstanding darkness that awaits the club after his departure. You do not win anything without leaders (except maybe inGerman football, as there are no leaders whatsoever, but they have to give the trophies to someone). Based on facts, there is no-one who can replace him yet, neither footballingwise nor characterwise. At this point some people often use arguments like "De bruyne looks awesome", "Oscar can play in the double pivot" or my favourite " Mata is on course to a 25 goals 30 assists season. this is all utter BS. We do not know whether de Bruyne will even make a game for us again,w e do not know if he could fulfill his potential here, we do not know if Oscar can be only a fracture of the player Lamps was for us for over a decade. And the most ridiculous argument ever is this "Mata is on course to score 25 goals bla bla". Well, he also was last season in January. But you know what, we entered the crucial time of the season, suddenly his goals and assists began to dry up, his performances went downhill. So I could also say, mata is on course to be outscored by Lamps once again. Lamps, Drogs are natural born leaders, big game players, Oscar, mata, hazard are not.
-
Yeah, we could bring oscar into the double pivot but apart from the point that he is far too weakass for that position and we got no genuine DM to complement him there, we also will have to bring potentially all of Kakuta, de bruyne, Mceachran, Chalobah a.s.o. anywhere into that. Where is the point buying more and more foreign talents instead of trusting our own youth supply? At some point we have to trust our academy. FFP looming.
-
Even though he is more skilfull than all three of them, he+Mazacar would be overkill, we do not need him. Should have purchased him instead of Oscar but both is simply too much, would give us 3 AMs and still no width. Our bad run had shown that buying the same player type time and time again does not make us a better side. we should rather look out for genuine out-and-out wingers with pace and crossing ability.

Tell me, how does half an our of football of a game which we won 5-1 and our new striker scored 2 be an evidence for our inconsistent midfield with a new striker not being a solution??? How are 30 mins of football more of an evidence that our midfield has been the problem for our striker not scoring than 2 years of frustration with 1000s of wasted chances by him? And Why the hell is it sweet to see our team struggling??? Even when the midfield did play badly, Torres always got a reasonable number of chances, which he wasted especially in big games. It is mostly his fault that he did not get more service cos his movment is shit. Demba Ba might only be an averagely talented striker in good form but is in every case an incredibly massive improvement on him.
-
Errr....not quite. In german we have 3. articles: "der" for masculine nouns, "die" for feminine and "das" for neuter. You'd never translate "the Torres, the " into "die Torres, die", cos the article "the" either refers to Torres, so it should be (surprise!) masculine thus "der Torres, der". Just to put that right. i remember s.o. trying to learn a bit of our language. sure? thought it was 2 but also 2 against Nordsjaelland. Well, whatevs, your point is right, though. Torres does socre against teams of lesser quality in matches of lesser importance. Should have scored against Liverpool, ManU and Corinthians and many more.
-
How can we only get 12m for him? I mean he cost about 6 or 7m and and we paid his wage, he is young and English and Liverpool always overpay for players like this. I am sure we could get close to 20m for him
-
cool the fuckin game down, pass it around till they tire and strike then.
-
This is going horribly wrong, frenzy, uncontrollable, RB has got it all wrong
-
These Corinthian team is one of the ugliest, least talented and most diving bunch of men i have ever seen
-
torres gets the long ball down well, but we miss lamps up front who would convert the lay offs as he did with drogba's
