Dann sarr is terrible, much worse than vs Brentford
-
Werner made the right run tho and laid it on a plate
-
They are not very good either if only we had a little quality we would thrash them this heavy rotation backfired massively
-
Lukaku and Werner are useless in tight spaces should bring on Ziyech and Pulisic
-
Sarr is the problem Rj and Barkley are a terrible midfield too though
-
Mount again with the wrong pass wrrner was through
-
They are parking the bus and wasting time now great job inviting them in front
-
With our toothless offense of we fail to defend properly we are an absolutely ordinary side
-
we are throwing our season away within a week
-
Our defence is terrible that looked offside again
-
There were like 3 offside situations prior to the cross
-
Dang that looks like an absolutely terrible lineup. Expect Saul to be just as out of place at LWB as at CM, Werner and Lukaku being unable to string to passes together and missing a few open goals. Will be a torrid watch for sure. Let's get this over with.

Economically yes. Like many German clubs, they are conservatively operated as a profitable business. They should not complain that they are never gonna win a big title again with that strategy tho.

Difficult to say. I have not seen colwill at Huddersfield yet. But the stats suggest he is a regular in a far from consistent defensive unit and side. While you could possibly argue that quite a few bundesliga clubs would struggle in the champions themselves, having already some experience at CL level and playing teams like Dortmund and Bayern, lacroix is ahead in his development. If not for this hellish streak of late which is indeed concerning and makes me wonder if he is ready yet(2 red cards, 3 pens caused, one own goal ) I would have said the difference in age does reflect their difference in development . i am all for looking at our youth to recruit for contested spots. All those players who fitted in seamlessly give you enough confidence. I just think to replace Rüdiger, we need this extra bit from a cb. As our attackers are so often misfiring, esp Rüdiger often creates this offensive spark with his runs. Lacroix can provide this too, also has a good passing range . I don’t know yet if colwill has this extra bit that would make him a valuable addition to our squad

It is true, Lacroix had some torrid past few weeks but that does not take away from the fact that he was the best defender in bundesliga last season. Wolfsburg have a new coach with different ideas and a system change so maybe that is not too helpful for lacroix. Every young defender will have bad patches. Just look at Rüdiger at that age or even later. The main reason for the hype around Lacroix is his outstanding physical prowess. he is one of the fastest players in Bundesliga, has impressive overall athelticism and looks taylor made for EPL. Actually he reminds me of VVD at Southampton, who also was quite rash at times but could also show immense composure and open up play with a great passing range. lacroix possesses all those abilities as well. Saying there are no good defenders in Bundesliga is a bit harsh. the league has produced some of the best defenders in history like Beckenbauer, Brehme, Breitner, Lahm. It currently boasts no such talent but some formerly very highly rated defenders like Upamecano, Hernandez and Süle have been crippled by injury not so long ago. And even then players like Orban, Ginter have been quite good. Not exactly world class but a lot better than the average PL CB. Lacroix is only 21 and already rolls with seasoned quality CBs. If he manages to get his head right again and continue his development in the trajectory last season would imply, he will become a top class CB. If anything the last few games suggest he is not ready to play for a big club yet, but I could well see TT working wonders with him. rüdiger was not ready when he joined us either, yet ppl stuck with him. Lacroix at 21 is already the level Rüdiger was at around the time he joined us.

Lacroix is the least likely of the three. No concrete links since July. If Szalai is as good as Fener fans say, he could be a mainstay at that LCB. There are not that many quality left footed CBs out there. RCB is probably the least problematic to fill. Still would prefer AC to sign an extension, he is the mot natural successor to Thiago.

The problem is that TT is adamant on Rom to play as a target man and even commanded him back to the centre after a rare move to the side during the last game while Rom is too old to become an accomplished target man by now. There simply is a huge misunderstanding here. Lukaku think he is more of a ball to feet channel runner, charging into space, everyone else thinks bc of his built he is a target man. TT's offensive system is kinda rigid. the attackers rarely switch their positions, whilst the wing backs have quite a lot of freedom. I am increasingly leaning towards trying him as a RF with Kai as false 9 and CHO or Puli on the left, so his lack of technique is not as obvious and he can play to his strengths. Obviously we lose a lot of pressing with him but there is always a compromise.

This is why i think we can afford to let him go. Not that he is terrible but he is not the world beater he thinks he is. Today was a one-off in the context of the last 10 months but not in the context of his entire career. he has had plenty of these performances. It is Tuchel's system that makes defenders overall look solid, bc they are protecting each other, have kante and pacey wingbacks to prevent them from being isolated. Remove Chilwell and Kante, Rüdiger begins to look more shaky. he did vs Watford as well as today. It will be similar for other defenders of his quality of which there are plentyful on the market.

Not sure about the 8/10 for Lukaku. He had plenty of chances in the box this season and only scored 4 goals. I doubt he only had 5-6 chances. It is interesting that no one, not even Lukaku himself can identify what exactly he is good at. He is surely not good at pressing, nor is he good in tight spaces. he is not very good in the air either. I agree about today tho. We scored 2 good goals and should have won the match if not for multiple cataologues of errors on every goal we conceded bar the freak one.
-
while today everything that could go wrong, went wrong it is clear as day that we can not live without Chilwell and Kante/Kovacic. We need to buy or recall.
-
We aren’t first in the league he looked dodgy for all goals today but can happen west ham we’re clinical af and our defence let him down on occasions Kepa cost us points game per game when he was playing so we should not lose it yet
-
If marina pulled that off she would deserve Damehood Serie a or bundesliga are realistically the only places where Lukaku would work out of the top leagues
-
You having a laugh no one will ever do anything against our rivals this season Title challenge over we can settle for top 4 now we have shown repeatedly now that we just don’t have what it takes. No shame in that. City are way more mature and accomplished kn how their team is set up. Liverpool at least have a few absolute world beaters
-
Focus in the cups then

Wtf Never seen anything like that before
