Exactly people forget we had Morata emulating Torres and Giroud for the best part of the season. We have wasted tons of chances, whereas Wolves score with one chance. If we had decent fullbacks we would be even more of a threat. Dont get me wrong Sarri annoys me with his selections - but every manager will annoy people at some point. I don't think he's the fraud people are making him out to be - if we had the right players and a decent striker - we could have genuinely been challenging for the league. I still think player power is a huge problem - they don't care about the manager as they know the next one will be along shortly. The club need to back him publicly and say it's a 3 year project. We aren't going to sign another manager with transfer bans. It's just too easy to heap all the blame on Sarri - it needs dividing up to the club, the players, us the fans and the manager IMHO

The only defence I can see - is that we (Chelsea) are responsible for this pattern of behaviour. New Manager = unrealistic expectations Then Poor results = sack manager Rinse & Repeat. One theme that unifies everybody though is the questionning of the club's inability to appoint footballing people in Senior positions. This is a common uniting factor between all of us. We absolutely have to get the framework correct in which to operate. We have wasted tons of money and wages on bang average players and it's been going on for a long time, whilst simultaneously letting great players go to our rivals and strengthen them. This has to be addressed IMHO as it is the underlying catalyst which drives the negative sentiment.

I thought Barkley and Zappacosta were bad and Alonso was anonymous. I didn't really rate Emerson until I saw how little Alonso offers I was delighted RLC got some minutes he's definitely an upgrade on Barkley- we need someone able to drive forwards, it can't just be left to Kante. Well done to CHO too - great goal. I thought Hoddles analysis was good - but I think Kovacic is better than Barkley- he seems to have lost his mojo as I always remember him as a player that ran with the ball, for us he doesn't seem to do that? Maybe it's confidence? Just hope RLC stays injury free and gets more minutes. I'm happy - think the team have turned a corner and now it's just the sheer magnitude of fixtures. We don't have that killer instinct (yet) but at least we can see the outline of what is trying to be achieved.
