Standard 'Pony' spouted when these things happen... One thing though, the seed is now planted in Messi's head - I bet he has imagined a life at Chelsea and his missus will be dripping it in his ear everyday. As Greavsie said - Football's a funny old game! I won't be surprised if out of nothing we end up with Messi...

He's always wrong

So who else is stepping in for Matic when he needs a rest? CL eligible too Proven in the Prem? Useful addition in my eyes for the remaining half of the season.
-
I doubt it very much - New York is literally the closest and easiest destination for him, he doesn't look like he wants to leave the UK and who can blame him. If we would have offered him a contract - he'd still be here - maybe scoring goals from our bench For me the key argument is - we didn't want him - the rest is just emotional bollox. We made the choice - now we live with it. As others have said - if we lose the title, that's our fault nobody else's.

Your post has made me break my decision not to post again. Ok - Chelsea ditched Frank. WHERE IS OUR CLASS IN THIS??? I think Frank is acting in EXACTLY the way somebody does when they have been scorned. To me this feels like when you split up with a woman - 3 weeks later you see them out in the club, they have lost tons of weight, have a new wardrobe and new hair nails etc and you think fuck - why did we split up! To me that's the only anology here - yes the analogy is akin to your ex shagging your enemy, or your mate - but if you hadn't dumped them, they wouldn't be available to do this to you. And that's the point - we let a situation happen, and now don't like the situation - BUT we could have controlled the situation and didn't. So I'm not going to blame Frank. I actually hope we as a club learn something from this! One other thing. You are Frank, told you are no longer needed and then they bring back Didier - how's that going to make you feel - yeah pretty fucking angry right.
-
Ok - none of us actually know what was said between Frank and Chelsea - chances are we never will. My view - and just my view - is along the lines of - Frank we don't think you are worth what you are asking, you are free to move on. So, I put myself in Franks position - I FEEL (important part) like I have just been shafted by the one club I gave my playing career to, put my body on the line and gave everything and this is my reward! So yeah - he's going to go out and prove it was wrong to write him off - and guess what - it WAS! Loyalty is a two way street. Whilst he was at the club he was a top bloke and let's not bring 'private education' into things - my wife was privately educated, whilst I wasn't - does that make her some kind of untrustworthy / classless person? No - she was lucky enough to be born into a family where her Dad started with nothing, built a business and wanted to invest in his children - so that has nothing to do with it! I do find some of these arguments borderline pathetic and sensationalist We let Frank go, we fucked up and we are now reaping what we have sown. There's a fucking useful life lesson right there !!! I, for one will be less quick to write people off in the future as a result of this. As for 'Class' etc - If Drogba had knocked us out when playing for Gala - would it all be fine? I seriously doubt it with the 'fickle' loyalty and respect being shown here. I've said all I'm going to say - you guys have your opinion, I have mine - I won't convince you to change it and vice-versa. Cheers
-
Well this is life in the 'big world' - he's no longer here and we let him go. You can be childish about it or mature - your choice. But I won't turn my back on one of our greatest ever players and I know many fans who also won't - thankfully Let's stay classy as Ron Jeremy says
-
It's now.obvious we need a RW who can create like Eden First time round we had Duff + Robben - pace and width We need that combo now QUICKLY City have it through Zabaletta and Clichy, the overlap wing backs really work - we hardly ever do that - just aimless long balls into the box from Ivanovic So Reus for me definitely and either Sissoko / Pogba Or we gamble on the yuuuuffff
-
Seriously? We let Lampard leave - and that's now proving to be a mistake, who's fault is that Lampards or ours? Let's say your boss let you go - and a rival firm picked you up and you felt you had more in the tank, and you did well for the new firm - does that make you a cunt or the bloke(s) that let you go? Lampard is a legend - grow up people - he was a fantastic servant who would have been here now IF we would have wanted him. Jose might learn a lesson or two from this along with the rest of the Chelsea management team...
-
I posted a while back that this pressure he is under is making him too cautious and then gamble big As long as we win something this year - he will get over it - until then a few more ups and downs I reckon
-
What about DIY? is that an acceptable alternative
-
Same old story when we play a team with width We concede and normally down the right hand side Time for Azpi RB and Luis LB - sorry Jose you can't get away with Iva anymore. Matic looked fucked and that's poor rotation from Jose Willian - poor and should be considered a sub Oscar - normally good but off the pace We need a CB and a RW like Hazard for the right hand side Jose has pushed too hard and now has to learn the hard way. But still top of the league a long way to go yet and maybe the wake up call the club needed
-
Lmao we suck so bad
-
Oh well this is where we determine if we have mental strength This could help us go into the Xfer market
-
That's why we haven't been champions for a while
-
Lack of rotation and our narrow playing style has contributed to this situation We all knew this was coming - we have said we lack width all year We also cannot defend against width and pace Don't overreact this is what life is about ups and downs just remember the downs as it makes the ups so much sweeter They might beat us - but we still won the CL
-
Oh well as soon as Lampard won it for City I knew this would happen No surprises Spurs playing with width - we concede - absolutely obvious
-
This! It would give Schurrle an exit and wouldn't increase our wage bill too much - Shirley plus Reus is crazy, but Reus alone is manageable
-
I might try it out on FM though
-
I think Jose is under some serious pressure right now and the difference between him and first time round is noticeable... He used to have an air of utmost confidence, not seeing that at the minute and his team selections have been poor. He's still the right man for the job, but this not winning anything has seriously put a monkey on his back Just hope we can win the worthless cup quickly and then it will be gone and his confidence will bounce back, followed by a decent FA Cip run and the league - anything in the CL will be icing on the cake. Need a good result against the Spuds - that will give us the lift we need right now... A 3-0 win would be perfect

With Pardew going... Plus who would join Arsenal
