  1. Has the game been called off due to the weather conditions? Edit: Only rumors so far, but according to the forecast it's only going to get worse within the next few hours, so you never know.
  2. http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2013/10/23/4946696/mourinho-start-chelsea-first-thirteen-matches Something is happening! "Here's an interesting fact I've just been made aware of: In 2009 the UCL final was played in Italy 2010 winners were Italian when the final was played in Spain 2011 winners were Spanish when the final was played in England 2012 winners were some team from England when the final was played in Germany 2013 winners will be German when the final is being played in England 2014 winners will be......................." geezer
  3. I don't think he's ever played up front for Leverkusen. He did for Mainz though. He is a great finisher without a doubt. He just needs to get his first for us
  4. Fair enough, though if it were up to me, I'd go for Cavani over Rooney every day of the week. When you take into account their age, determination and talent, there's no two ways about it. Rooney still has quite a bit to offer IMO, however he'd be a much greater risk than Cavani considering his lifestyle, health and disloyalty to his current club. Isn't this the second or third time he's caused trouble and handed in a transfer request? Edit: Who's to say he won't do the same here if/when things don't go his way?
  5. Says who? Less than half the price would mean he is valued at around 20 million pounds, and personally, I don't believe for a second that United would let him go to a rival club for that amount of money.
  6. Maybe, just maybe, we're looking to get Cavani because he is a better player than Rooney.
  7. "Sky sources: Chelsea move for Napoli striker Edinson Cavani" http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8802120/Sky-sources-Chelsea-move-for-Napoli-striker-Edinson-Cavani
  8. Any updates on this? Is it available anywhere online for download/streaming?
  9. Sorry to barge in like this, but who made you in charge? People can post whatever they want as long as they're not trolling or causing trouble.
  10. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football This is the official website of The Guardian. Nothing whatsoever on Cavani to Chelsea being a done deal. So much BS going around, as expected. I can play along. Chelsea have officially signed Tiago Alcantara and Edinson Cavani for a reported total fee of 70 million pounds. (Sky Sports)
  11. I don't know anything about the Italian journalists/papers you've mentioned. All I know is that Bild haven't yet reported the Cavani to Chelsea story.
  12. You're telling me that potentially one of the biggest stories so far in the transfer window (which they allegedly reported) isn't going to make it to their official website? Yeah, right... Andy Carrol to West Ham has made Bild's official website and they aren't even the ones who reported it. Do the math...
  13. If Bild allegedly reported it, then why is the story nowhere to be found on their official website? I smell bullshit.
  14. Download link: http://www.fileswap.com/dl/iFRD9LY6qy/Chelsea_Season_Review_2012-13.mp4.html Is that the complete season review? Only 25 minutes long?! Edit: Surely this isn't the full version.. Can anyone confirm, please?
  15. This has NOT been reported by London Evening Standard. I just checked their official website and their official twitter page, and it says nothing of the sort.
  16. 58 million euros = 49 million pounds.
  17. Apologies, everybody. Please disregard that photo. I got fooled by somebody on twitter and believed it was real. It's still not on the official website so it can't be. My mistake.
  18. Why would I forget that when some people here keep saying that he is past it and not good enough to start for Chelsea? Talking about the end of last season proves that he isn't past it. If he plays in midfield with the likes of Oscar and Mata, rather than Meireles and Essien, he would absolutely flourish. Some people here expect him to do everything on his own and start saying things like "he's past it" just because of a couple pre-season games. Yeah, right.
  19. Are you talking about the same Lampard who was top scorer for us last season? Are you talking about the guy who nicked the ball off Messi to give Ramires the perfect pass which led to Drogba's goal against Barcelona in Stamford Bridge? The player who assisted Ramires for his goal at the Nou Camp? Without that goal we would've never been in the CL final. Lampard was clearly our best midfielder towards the end of last season. I'm surprised he was able to take 40 touches against Barcelona before creating two of the most vital goals we've scored all season.
