Not unusual for the new owners to validate a player and the terms of a deal before sealing it. Thor is completely right in what he says. We couldn't even negotiate with clubs for a number of months and then the ownership change that will result in them wanting to evaluate and do their due diligence. Ridiculous how some are going on. The club's doing business have had months on us to sort things. We will make signings, preseason doesn't even start for another 2 weeks. People acting like the season starts next week.
