It was always gonna be a tough season regardless of manager. Anyone who thought anything else is being way too optimistic. You could have the best manager in the world you can't magic a replacement for hazard. United away Liverpool and Leicester. We are talking about a tiny sample size. Fact is lampard is playing the youngsters and setting up for a better future by doing so and hopefully he's there to do it. And next year if we do struggle and finish 6th we'll have a full transfer window and a lot of high quality youth with experience at the top level. Yeah we should beat Norwich etc and hopefully we do. But let's have 10/20 games to see how we perform and where we are. He's under huge pressure regardless of if we win or not. It's a high pressure job

Course they are fixable. Unproven means nothing. The season will tell. It takes time. Mount will improve. CHO will come back and improve we have Loftus cheek to return and we'll get better as we go. Pulisic will get better the longer he gels with the team etc. We do lack an out and out goalscorer but we have had that issue for years barring Costa. No we won't win the league but there are positive signs. We created 4 clear cut chances in the first 20 mins and should have been at least 2 up. My only concern is defensively we look shaky from set pieces which is hard to fix. Giroud on the pitch helps a lot with that because he's very good in the air. But we aren't a very tall team at the moment which is hard to fix

Tammy got the biggest reception of everyone. He didn't play great but none of the subs did. Willian just so poor. We'll get there. We flash brilliance and then look lackluster late on. This season was always gonna be tough. Let's get these problems out the way now

I disagree. Think tomori on purely for his pace was a great move. He had a slight undercooked challenge but was the only one to get anywhere near to closing the cross. Was much more confident in ET with tomori being fresh

Kante is basically the key player as we all knew. He just makes us so much better in all phases. Only concern is we look shaky as hell from set pieces. But much like first half vs United we've played well. Props to zouma though who has looked solid though with some key blocks etc. Even if we lose this hopefully people will see the sky isn't falling. Let's hope we push on in the second half though

Kante is back. Hopefully he's not rushed back as I wouldn't want to risk him as much as we need him. Let's go! Bench looks like it can give us a lot of energy. Let's hope they come in in a close game and not just for a 30 min run around

Maybe the worst squad currently but one of the most promising going forwards for years. Pulisic 20 Mount 20 RLC 23 CHO 18 Etc etc Developing youth takes time. Sure this season may be rough at times but we could be better for it in the long term. I've waited years for someone to give some our players with great potential a chance and now we have so let's see what happens

No one can just say we should just buy xyz there's so many factors involved. And it doesn't change the first part where there's about 90 clubs who'd love to have the people we have in charge

We've got like 16 trophies in the last 16 years. To say we are being run so poorly is somewhat laughable and makes it sound like we're all playing football manager. Yeah we could do with strengthening particularly in defence and at striker but saying we're inept is a bit of a stretch. And as already said. What we got is what we got. Let's get on with it. That's a discussion for next summer, I believe the squad we have can get top 4 and be competitive and be a great starting point for a lot of our young players. Expecting much more is setting yourself up for disappointment. Hoping for more is part of being a fan

It's a cup at the end of the day. But focus has got to be on Leicester. Rest the key players coming back unless lamps wants to give them minutes and see what happens. Hopefully only 1 more game without rudiger and kante
