TBH the inclusion of ashley cole, made a huge difference as on that left we always had a man on the overlap and it just creates much more space for everyone else. He was probably imo the player who changed things most. Paulo Ferreria to ashley cole. Marin was also very good, with his pace, and malouda was much better than he has been in recent times. Though we should also not forget that they made 9 changes after the first half. Proves that we have greater squad depth than them, even if the players still have some work to do to gel better together.

KDB, actually linked up with Hazard quite well in the 45 mins, Cahill didn't play well but we know what he does reguarly. Lukaku and Kakuta both wern't impressive, but as several people have said it isn't just 45 mins, its a culmination.... Time will tell.

In many ways i hope we don't bring in another winger-esque player as it would mean the dropping of marin, who if he can keep that up in pre-season deserves a shot in the prem.. Marin, the real positive tonight and also the fact that its only thier second game mean there are still positives to take from a game which wasn't our best. A Cole, also had a big impact when coming on, and you can tell the difference between a third choic RB playing LB to A world class one.

I think Marin will start in a lot of games this season, dependant of course on who we may bring in...

? Hazard does try in friendlies, he was our best player in the first half, amongst a lot of bad performances and along with marin was our best player in the first friendly vs seattle...

If the camera was a bit higher up it would have been better though after a while you don't really notice it.

Marin is our new Kalou.... WTF you on about... Marin shown is quality on the ball and ability to make chances, etc, he is nothing like kalou.

Yeah Hutchinson, has shown he is better backup than paulo, and tbh looks like a bit of an ivan in the making. Was venturing forward a lot as well. Definately keep in the squad. Could be very useful for us.

I think that performance will force lukaku to go on loan and another striker will come in. Hopefully its a good value squad player and not an over priced, "torres replacement"...
