Yeah I agree. I do feel that he has been more cautious then he normally is but i've always felt that he's a bit to unselfish at times. He always tries to look for the pass rather then shoot or dribble. I feel that with his dribbling skills, close ball control and pace he should always be attempting to run at players. He's really a gem of a player. That moment of brilliance in the Arsenal game when he uses his touch and pace to skip past an incoming challenge and then after some nice link up play cutting out Vermaelen and crossing the ball in with a rabona. I would really like him to try and do stuff like that more often. Don't really think it's a matter of lack of confidence. If he could just focus more on his dribbling and be a little more direct i think he could be a massive goal threat. I hope RDM can somehow make him understand that.

I agree with your post except for the bolded part. All three showed a lot of defensive contribution.
-
Massive win. Great team performance. Everyone ran their asses off.

Anyone watching Chelsea tv now ? I'm getting pissed off at those journalists who keep asking annoying questions about John Terry and this whole process.
-
I've tried to remain civil, but it seems i'm gonna have to go on a killing spree...

Mate you really don't get it do you. Your saying the same things Henrique said. Your just sugarcoating it more. Your still comparing Mata, Hazard and Oscar and then coming to the " suprising " conclusion that Oscar is better or in your case "best of the bunch soon" and the bolded part is just BS. Yeah Brazilians who have watched Oscar play probably have a better knowledge of Oscar but Belgians can say the same thing about Hazard. Spaniards can say the same thing about Mata. It doesn't justify posting a biased opinion and underrating players.

I would love for us to go in guns blazing. Oscar in the pivot, Hazard, Mata and Moses behind Torres. Massive amount of creativity, pace and width. Also think this is the lineup we are working towards. We know Oscar was bought to play as 1 of the double pivot. At first i didn't really understand but after watching his last games i do get why. Great passing range, comfortable on the ball, good movement, really loves to pass and move, lots of energy, doesn't mind chasing down the opposition, good defensive contribution. He has deeplying playmaker written all over him. Putting Oscar into the pivot would solve a lot of the problems we've been having. We wouldn't be as congested in the centre of the pitch as Oscar would operate from a deeper position, leaving space for Hazard and Mata. Moses would stretch the defence and supply the width. Hazard coming centrally wouldn't be a problem as Cole is more then capable of providing width on that left side. So we'd have width on both wings while having all three of our "magicians" on the pitch. Also it would help us play from the back more. We've hoofed the ball forward way too many times. This way we just keep giving away possesion.

You may not be involved in any kind of competition, but you are involved in an argument. Which, believe it or not, can be lost or won. The actual issue is not him insulting you because you have an opinion he doesn't like. It's you constantly finding it necessary to overrate Oscar and underrate Hazard , Mata and any other player whose got the skills to shine for Chelsea. Constantly trying to compare them to each other and then coming to the " suprising " conclusion that Oscar is the better player. It's annoying. My favorite player is Hazard but do you see me constantly comparing him to Oscar and Mata. Do you see me commenting saying Hazard is better then Mata and Oscar ? No. You know why? Because i don't see how it's relevant. All three play for Chelsea. All three of them have their weaknesses and their strenghts. I'm hoping and i think that they'll become the new kind of Iniesta, Messi, Xavi trio. Ofcourse not exactly the same way but you get the point. All three of them are undeniably important to their team and i think Hazard-Mata-Oscar can be as important for Chelsea as those three are/were for Barcelona. Edit: Anime isn't silly. it's great.

Nice. Thanks !

Only highlights or full game ?
-
Why does Luiz keep taking freekicks ? Mata, Hazard, Oscar all seem better suited for it.
-
We'll see about that won't we.
-
Not the greatest performance from him but he should have gotten a penalty and he really ran his ass off. That Mata Hazard combination was magnificent. Great so see them link up so well. Hopefullly RDM will play Hazard-Mata-Oscar next game.
-
Understand what you mean but he's been getting praise like that since he was 16y old and performed well in the u17 tournament for Belgium. He's already used to it so i wouldn't worry to much about it. He's very level head and he handles pressure very well. Thats actually 1 of the reasons why i have no doubts he will succeed
-
Well i kinda did it to get Mata and Oscar both in the midfield and also because i like Hazard to be high up the pitch. He has the tendency to drop deep to ask the ball. Sometimes even in the zone where Lampard and Mikel are playing but i prefer him to play more between the lines. You know between the oppositions central defenders and the DM and CM's. Also i wanted to get 2 actual wingers on the wings.
-
Yes as a false 9. It's not that weird ?
-
Calm down. It was just a line up that i had in mind. True Hazard is not a striker but he has got the skills to play as a false 9 like Messi. Romeu has shown potential but there must be a reason why RDM isn't giving him any time on the pitch. Marin does seem to be injury prone but he is a good type of player to play in this lineup as with a 4-3-3 your winger create width(doesn't drift inside) and depth(fast and always looking to get on the end of a through ball) 2 things which Marin is good at.

in a couple of years : Courtois Azpi - Cahill - Luiz - Bertrand New DM Mata - Oscar Moses -------------------------- Marin Hazard :blue scalf: What do you guys think ?

Great read. Loved this part: Eden was 12, and we got a free-kick a few metres outside the area. He took a couple of paces and bent it round the wall into the top corner. It was an incredible goal for a lad his age, but the referee said he hadn’t whistled and disallowed it. ‘Thierry was standing next to me, and while we were all shaking our heads, he shouted, “I’d like to see you do that again, son”. ‘Eden calmly put the ball down, waited for the whistle and clipped it in the same top corner. It was a carbon copy of the first one. Even by his standards, it amazed us all, and Thierry turned to me and said, “I think he did that to annoy me!”

Would you call Iniesta or Xavi uneffective ? They don't get a lot of assists or goals but they do massively contribute to their team. This is the same for Mata. He's playing in a different role now. Less assists and goals but vital to our attacking game.
-
Let's just call him ass-pie. Short and simple.
-
I get what you mean with the "it looks like he doesn't care and isn't trying" but he always looks like that. I think it's just his demeanor on the field. He looks indifferent but i don't think he really is. When he plays great people don't notice it but when he plays bad then automatically people will start to look at a player closer. I actually love that about him. Everything he does seems so easy to him. Everything he does looks so effortless. Even when he runs at full speed with the ball it looks like he's just cruising. His turns(against wigan and against Reading) for example. Looks very simple but the level of awareness and ball control it takes to make those turns is insane. Totally don't agree on the "going down easy". Given his size ? The guys like a mini tank. I think your underestimating his strenght. He's not a player you can just push over.
