https://www.goal.com/en/match/chelsea-u19-v-ajax-u19/lineups/ex7qwm44jxv6lr2m8qpsddd61 If you click the link above, you will see the lineups when our U19 played Ajax U19 in the UEFA youth league 3 seasons ago roughly around this time. Game ended 1-0 to us. Look who was in the Ajax lineup that day. Both goalscorers tonight: De Ligt and Van de Beek who have now proven themselves on the biggest stages of all. Shows how amazing their structure is and the amount of faith the have in their youth system. You only have to imagine if some of our players in that lineup had swapped teams on the day, what may be their fortune right now. Big credit to Ajax and backing them all the way. Hope they can pull of something special and win UCL

2 key players out for Watford in Pereyra and Deulofeu. Big blow. Don't see them picking up anything. Hopefully I am wrong.
-
Watching the game against Norwich and has been the standout player and most obvious choice for MOTM. His strength is ridiculous. Amazing how he is relied on for their set pieces also. Real gem we have here.
-
Young Frank Lampard in the making. Fantastic!
-
Was fantastic against Arsenal today and kept Laca and co in his pocket.
-
He needs to really up his game and get used to the pace of PL, if he has any chance being here next season. Looks very lethargic too and the pace of the league is proving very difficult for him, as he admitted himself.

CHO face said it all. He was so annoyed. Well hopefully CHO starts on Wednesday. Sarri surely will hand him his first league start otherwise he is going to receive another huge backlash from both supporters and media. Willian, despite providing assist did nothing major to keep his place in team and Pedro was especially poor.

Wow. We got unbelievably lucky. Official's helped us out big time. Cardiff should of had a penalty. Azpi was clearly offside. Rudi was 50/50 call but went our way. Back to the game. Leaving Hazard out was crazy. He last played 6 days ago ffs. CHO not coming on tbh is being blown over too much. Hazard had to come on. RLC was needed to come on and he made a big difference. Higuaín was just useless up front and we needed something different. Had we gone with CHO instead of Willian, it would of been same old. Working our way around but no one to put ball in back of net. When you are chasing a goal and you have a striker on the bench, you bring them on. I agree with Sarri there. If he had brought CHO, he simply would have been bowing down to fan and media pressure. The crazy thing was just leaving Hazard out in beginning. Other than that, his subs he got spot on. Let's just hope he starts Hazard and CHO. against Brighton. Fair play to Willian though today. Provided the assist at the end. Pedro was poor though. This result has saved his job for a bit longer. Really annoyed at the fans for singing "we want Sarri out". That is Arsenal levels of embarrassing we have resorted to there. That was not nice at all and no matter how frustrating Sarri can be, I don't like to see any player/manager get treated by his own fans like that. Really felt for him there. But big win. Knowing us, knew this would never be an easy game but we got the 3 crucial points now. Can relax and enjoy Liverpool and Spurs now.

Higuaín is completely finished. I don't want to hear any excuses. The guy is out of his depth and useless. Not been an improvement on Morata at all. Like playing with 10 men.
-
Sarri asked if he's tempted to start Hudson-Odoi vs Cardiff: "We have to play eight matches in 28 days. I'm sure Callum will start two, three matches" Basically means he will start him in both games against Slavia Prague but place him on the bench in the league games. Such a cop out.
-
He has been the best player on the pitch. Could of had three assists to his name today. Fantastic.
-
I wouldn't say that is nailed on. If Hazard leaves, the board will probably keep CHO for the season, if he still has not signed a new contract imo and if we are frozen from buying players in summer, don't reckon we will sell him also. Also right now as it stands he is a Chelsea player and that is something we should all be proud of, that he has been fast-tracked into the England team and now he is starting.
-
It seems that most people are focused on having a dig at Sarri for CHO playing for England but let's look at the other perspective. This is a massive moment for the club either way. We have the youngest English international to play a competitive game. Let's celebrate and hope everything just goes up for him from here.

Although Kante is improving in that position, there are games where he is just not effective like yesterday and we require CM who will give us more offensive and someone with mote technical quality.and when we play a team who are able to match us technically whilst also having destroyers (Everton + Gueye), makes us look extremely average. Also a huge reason we struggle to get back into games once we go behind.
-
Give this lad a chance next season. Look how TAA has thrived at Liverpool since being promoted as their first choice RB. Reece James could follow in same steps, only if we give him chance. Technically, he is like TAA too. Both have excellent deliveries, are two of the best crossers around and both can hit a stunning free kick. He will surprise people.
-
I mean, he is more suited to the way Sarri wants to play than Azpi is. Not talking about quality wise. When we were more pragmatic, it was fine, but in a team trying to play attacking football, Azpi just does not offer enough.
-
This game also reflected how dire we need new full backs also. As good as Azpi has been, the style we are looking to play, he is not suited. Emerson is but we need another attacking RB.
-
But Morata got so much stick for being shit. Higuaín has not been much of an upgrade at all. 3 goals against two relegated teams and other than that he looks lethargic and is easily shifted out the game.
-
Truly pathetic. No cutting edge in the team. I never actually saw us winning the game beforehand and for that exact reason. Hazard again, just doesn't have the energy and commitment to drive us to win games. He was anonymous. So poor. He needs to step up in games like this. So frustrating. We literally need to win the Europa League because we aren't going to beat United or Liverpool away from home. The technical level to get us back in the games is not there too. When we go down 1-0, we rarely come back to score or even win games. Just poor. Gueye bossed that game. We seriously need to address that CM dept and what to do because while Kante is improving there, we need general more quality in that CM dept because we get physically outdone and technically out done far too much. Seriously worry about this team. We bottle every situation when we have a chance to capitalize. Everton's first win against a big 6 in what 27 games. Had to be against us. Richarison had gone what? 20 plus games without scoring against a team in the top 6 until today. Man we do make teams/players look good.
-
Don't want to get complacent, but that is quite the perfect draw while Arsenal have the toughest tie. That was the dream draw I hoped for.
-
I highly doubt you reject a contract offer of a reported £85k p/w if you aren't serious about leaving. The main thing is about swaying him to stay from now and giving him appropriate game time.
-
They don't have teams in the top 6 left to play also. When pundits like Merson and Neville rule their chances of top 4 out, it confuses me. Spurs still have to go to Liverpool and City. We still have to go to Anfield and Old Trafford. Also would not be surprised to see us drop points at Everton next week.
-
Rudiger? He made one little error but he has been one of our most consistent players. His pace is such a useful asset and has helped us on so many occasions this season. He does not need replacing and don't see much better options on the market who are better than him tbh.
-
He was awful. Yeah you can talk about service but he was bossed all game and didn't cause them any problems. Looks lethargic too.
-
Higuaín, again looks out his depth. He just does not seem to have the physical levels for the PL. Bar 2 goals against Huddersfield and one against Fulham, all the other games, he reminds me of Morata. Can't get into the game. It is worrying. He offered nothing at all today. Really needed that win but will take that. But huge blow. Because we have a tough away game next week, where I reckon we may drop points also. So glad Hazard stepped up there because this was another game where you are thinking, this is where you need your big players to stand up and he did exactly that. But big chance blown here.
