  1. Anyways, let's focus on the positives for a while. Like someone already pointed out, I thought Azpilicueta looked REALLY good defensive wise. Solid on and off the ball and made himself a passing opportunity quite often. I really enjoyed his performance tonight. In the first part of the second half he also contributed better to forward play, and I thought he had an overall very decent game. If he continues like that, who knows if he'll take the spot from Bran? Then we have ourselves a whole new situation on the central defense front. Of course it's always extremely bitter to drop 2 points this way. But not everything was negative, and we certainly have a lot to work on. At least the defense looked more solid than the last couple of games and had Liverpool under control for the majority of the game albeit the last 20 minutes or so.
  2. May I ask what game you were watching, kind sir? They deployed a 5-man midfield to counter our front 4, but seemingly without ANY effect at all. Granted, they did maintain possession quite well in the first half, but they didn't make any use of it. We had all the chances, and should of sealed the game by then. I don't see how Gerrard (thought he had a very bad game), Allen (same as Gerrard) and Sahin (fairly average) 'owned' our midfield. But please, do enlighten me.
  3. Oscar - Mata - Hazard BENDTNER BAM! Recipe for CL and Premier League win.
  4. I think you need to readjust your definition of owned. Come on now.
  5. Indeed, the good start to the season created huge expectations and some kind of bandwagon effect to our success. This post pretty much sums it up, a 3rd place this season would be totally acceptable. But today it was not really the result that bothers me, but more the way we threw the 3 points on the ground. Of course that's what to expect, but still... Good post by the way
  6. Studying economics at the moment, will go for a journalist education later on
  7. Ehm? That's not even the issues we are stressing. Yes, Oscar and Mata missed a couple of sitters, and should have scored. We agree on that, no? That still doesn't change the fact that we need a reliable striker like Van Persie, Hernandez or Dzeko that can change games from nothing even though the team might be under performing. How can you not agree on that?
  8. Of course the striker is not alone in terms of scoring goals, but seriously... Take a look at our team, and tell me that Torres is the only one working for goals. We have like 15 different goal scorers this season. No, Torres is not alone. But we simply CAN'T rely on a defender or midfielder saving our asses every god damn game, when it is in fact the striker that is supposed to be doing just that!
  9. Thanks, finally someone who understands.
  10. I'd gladly chip in about tree fiddy if that would bring us a world class striker. Don't really care who it is, as long as he can score f*cking goals. Falcao Cavani Bendtner Lewandoski I don't care, just pick one! Romaaaaaaaaaan, can I have a new toy please?
  11. Okay, just had a walk to cool off, and this is my match analysis... Positives - Azpilicueta had a really good game. I would certainly like to see more of him. - Defense looked solid until 70-75 mins. - Ramires had a really good game defensively. - Terry. Captain, Leader, Legend. Enough said. Negatives - Torres had ANOTHER distinctly average game. He was decent in buildup play, but, as always, lacks the goals. God, what a cliché. - Offensively we had LOADS (!!!!!!!) of chances to close the game in 1st half AND the first part of the second. We simply weren't clinical enough. - Sturridge, despite only getting what, 15 mintues, looked just as bad as Torres. - Christmas form is coming, merry x-mas. - I hate Suarez, but holy Moses what a difference it makes to have a striker capable of scoring. RDM needs to get it fixed. Of course we are in transition, but that is no excuse for a result like tonight. No way. I for one back RDM all the way, but these are problems that are crucial to our season. We simply can't rely on Oscar, Hazard or Mata saving us every time we go behind. We need a striker who is capable of changing the game. I'm not going to start another Sturridge vs Torres discussion. Let's face it. They both haven't got what it takes. All in all a really bad day for Chelsea, which should have been a win. Luckily Enrique failed to score in the last minute. What a pain in the ass that would have been, eh.
  12. 2nd half we just know Suarez will bag 2. Or Agger. Either way....
