That's a little too harsh, and also too much. He is not a goalscoring/assisting midfielder, he never was. I don't even understand why this surprised so many Chelsea fans, we shouldn't expect him. He is not a world class player aswell, but most of the season he did a solid job. I like Mount a lot, his forward passing, shooting and dribbling is good to watch but he has to improve a lot in the midfield. A few weeks ago RLC said that in the beginning of the season Sarri played him as a winger because his defensive work and positioning was not good enough to play on the midfield. He worked a lot and convinced Sarri, at the end of the season he was the nr1 choice. I don't expect Mount to break into the starting eleven under Sarri in the first months either. Playing in the middle of the midfield is not a piece of cake. There are aspects of the game in which Kovacic tops RLC and Mount.

Just got released by Jiangu Suning. He hasn't played a competitive match for more than a year now. Too bad he wasted his talent in China, he was only 28 when he left us for Jiangsu. Could have easily played in Europe for years and go to China to earn more money now. I really liked him, he was one of my favourite players.

I watched Ajax's CL-games. They did a great job but I think it was the run of their lives. De Jong and De Ligt are real deals, there is no doubt about that, but I think the rest of their players are not extraordinary, they just made a great team and had a good and lucky run. Van de Beek and Neres are promising players too but I don't expect them to be superstars. Anyway, if we look at our squad Neres would be a nice addition but I would rather pick Richarlison.

It's gonna be a charity game, it's midseason for NE. Players won't break each others' legs. Ofc injuries can occur but players can injure at trainings or even at home/traffic too. This will be like a training, like playing a match between teammates. Yeah, our boys will travel a lot but they are used to it. Also, it's not they travel on tourist class between crying babies and their fat parents and wait hours at baggage claim and for airport shuttle. They travel in luxury and full comfort and they will still have two weeks to prepare to the final.
