Depends on which Chelsea you want to see. The one that played a low block last year to protect the lack of pace in the back four, or the one that played expansive football and looked amazing going forward. I don't think we can have both, something's got to give.

I think they both got a good taste of it. Cahill perhaps more but JT got a dose. He subbed Terry because he's close to done and he can't debilitate Cahill so early into the season. My belief anyway.

Mourinho's only commitment is to winning and judging by what we've seen so far there is nothing to suggest anyone in that back 4 is safe. If Baba comes in and buys into what Jose is trying to accomplish he will be in the XI, of this I am 110% sure of.

Not really true. Keep in mind first that this is a team we were dead even with head to head last year. They left Zabaleta on the bench(who couldn't deal with Hazard) and added pace down the flanks. Navas and Sterling can pin back FB's We need signings, we've done nothing to address our problems and are looking long in the tooth at the back.

I agree with most of what you wrote except Fabregas, he was without doubt our best midfielder. Got stuck in all over the pitch, won tackles, passed it effectively. We couldn't make that incisive pass today but that had nothing to do with Fab we were just not at all on the same page today. Clearly the holes are in defense, Jose went to the Etihad didn't park the bus and it exposed our piss poor back line. All last season we protected Terry and Cahill by playing a lower block, everyone complained about the style of play. Now that we move the line up people complain about how poor we are defending. In truth we just don't have the personnel to play that way (at least not yet) what today showed me is how well Jose has assessed our problem areas. We need a boss CB(Stones) and hopefully Rahman is good enough to get Azpi back on the right.
