its 4 games in 8 days.
-
official? if it is, this is a very cautious team put out
-
that is not my point. you misunderstand me. the fa cup is still a great competition. the magic of the fa cup is still exists. but securing champions league football next season is much much more important. some might say they can go 2 games in 3 days but that's not the thing. the squad may be able to play 2 in 3 days but they will be jaded. so rdm has to rotate wisely. we should put out a competitive team, no doubt but if we lead, we should rest a few legs.
-
now if we go for it and lose against barca, they are gonna blame rdm for not prioritising. i knw its messed up but that's the way it is.
-
i'm just sayin, if it came down to it, i'd rather have a go at barca than spurs. the ucl is the holy grail for a reason. but i think we can win both this year
-
U have a point, yes, but we have won enough fa cups in the last few years and its not just 2 games in 3 days. its 4 games in 8. There is nothing wrong in prioritizing here. We should have a go at Barca rather than Spurs. Our focus is achieving Champions League football next year, not become Liverpool

Shinji Kagawa is a great passer too. Whenever I watch the highlights of the German league, Kagawa carves open the defence with a toe-poking pass or outside of the boot chip or something. All chelsea do is pass it to the fullbacks and dump the ball into the box, so i think kagawa will be a great signing
-
remember when we were scoring goals like we were drinking gatorade? yeah. neither do i
-
We should play our FA Youth Cup heroes in the Europa league next year. Islam Feruz and Lucas Piazon will get the chance to shine
-
i would go for a drogba winner at the camp nou so that he can mouth to the camera - "barca are a effin disgrace"

Tottenham v Chelsea - FA Cup Semi Final Preview
Strike replied to Strike's topic in Chelsea Articles
i know. they are 2 separate defeats. hiddink lost 1-0 in the league while cc was in grant's tenure. the comma is separting the 2 statements. how do i correct that? -
It’s the business end of the season and the games are coming thick and fast now. Lost amid the clutter of high-profile games coming up for Chelsea is the FA Cup semifinal clash against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs are currently ahead of Chelsea in the Premier League table, albeit by only 3 points. They have shown that they can hang with the big clubs this season evidenced by their impressive wins against Liverpool and Newcastle. They have also performed admirably against the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea although ultimately failing to win. The London side are currently trying to get their season back on track after a few poor results recently. Chelsea are a rejuvenated side now. After rescuing a season, which was seemingly headed for disaster, The Blues are now challenging on 3 fronts – The FA Cup, UEFA Champions League and a place in the top 4 of the Premier League. Interim manager Roberto di Matteo has rotated his Chelsea squad to keep them fresh through this hectic schedule. He oversaw the thrilling revival in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Napoli. Chasing a 3-1 deficit inflicted in Naples, Chelsea produced a stirring fightback with the so called ‘Old Guard’ at the forefront of it as goals from Didier Drogba, John Terry, Frank Lampard and an extra-time winner from Branislav Ivanovic capped a memorable night for the Blues. Di Matteo has won 8 of the ten games he has been in charge of with his only loss coming at title-chasers Manchester City. Over the years, these two sides have made for some truly great contests. The 4-4 draw when Joe Cole and Robbie Keane stole the show , the 2007 Carling Cup final which Spurs won after extra-time, the only loss in the Hiddink reign, the Gareth Bale show in 2010, the agonizing Drogba penalty miss and the controversial late win at Stamford Bridge last season. This season, they met at White Hart Lane back in December and played out a thrilling game. It ended 1-1 but the match was unlike the dour stalemate they played a few months later. Gareth Bale’s fizzing ball across from the left was stabbed home by Emmanuel Adebayor to give Spurs the lead before a similar move from Chelsea’s left wing saw Daniel Sturridge tap home at the far post. Both sides had plenty of chances to wrap the game up but none of them were taken. Ramires and Adebayor missed the best of the lot. Fast forward a few months and Chelsea, with a new manager in the dugout, took on a stuttering Tottenham side in what was viewed as a must-win game for Chelsea as they chased a top-4 spot. The match ended 0-0 with few chances to either side. Juan Mata hit the post from a curling free-kick while Gary Cahill’s clearance after Cech was beaten saved Chelsea’s blushes Chelsea, having one eye on the Champions League semifinals first leg tie 3 days later, meet Spurs on April 15 for a place in the FA Cup final against a Merseyside club a month later. Chelsea have been there and done that in these situations in the FA Cup while Tottenham are improving by the week. The stage is set for a pulsating game at Wembley as the next chapter of the growing Chelsea-Spurs rivalry is written. Sit back and Enjoy! Click here to view the article

His buy back clause activates after next season and that too only if Romeu wishes to rejoin Barca. If we don't play him here, obviosly he's gonna want to go back. Also, we have him til next season atleast, why not use him? Defies all logic really. Risky or not, i say make hay while the sun shines
-
well said. I have had it with some people disregarding Hoilett and Cabaye simply because they are not top expensive players. Well, guess what? they have been there and done that in the premier league unlike Hazard, Gotze and Willian
-
Considering Ballack was considered unlucky - 2 CL Finals, 1 WC Final, 1 Euro Final - 0 titles
-
we cant go and buy every talent available for free
-
with what i've seen kdb seems to be a great passer of the ball. and he would give us options in the wing and in midfield. i would prefer 2 wingers and a midfielder simply because a winger's explosive pace is necessary to change games. look at united - young, nani, valencia - devastating
-
yes. off the field, i have always liked his blogs and his ability to recover from horror injuries. and his penchant for playing good in the big games. but sadly, time and tide wait for no man
-
that would be really sad when essien leaves although it looks like we dont have a choice. would u change your pic then?
-
We have him for next season mate. i think he really needs to start more often. maybe rotate with a new-signing
-
yeah. some fees defy logic actually. eg - ibrahimovic for 50+mil AND samuel eto'o when it should have just been a straight swap.lol
-
i always wear an old Ballack shirt for luck. How ironic considering Ballack
-
Yes. Javi Martinez is a good Deep-lying playmaker
-
yep. if we bid for johnson, kagawa and hazard/lavezzi early in the window, we may get them for less. all depends on whether the fuckin board have the sense to appoint a manager in MAY
