CHELSEA VS NEWCASTLE - 2 MAY 2012 - STAMFORD BRIDGE The business end of the season is in full swing now as Newcastle visit Stamford Bridge tonight hoping to maintain their challenge for 4th spot in the Premier League. The two sides are separated by just one point and a win for either side would all but end the other team's hopes of finishing in the top 4 season. It's perform or perish time now. Chelsea have the luxury of having 2 bites at the cherry with the Champions League final coming up later on this month but manager Roberto di Matteo knows that failing to finish in the top 4 this season will simply amplify the pressure on us to win the UCL final. Back in December, goals from Didier Drogba, Daniel Sturridge and Salomon Kalou ensured a 3-0 win but the scoreline was slightly flattering for Chelsea. Last year though, the two sides played out a 2-2 draw with Steven Taylor equalising in stoppage time after Alex and Ivanovic had given Chelsea the lead twice. The biggest problem for di Matteo is who should he pick up front because he is spoilt for choice at the moment. Both Torres and Drogba have been in good form recently.
