  1. I somehow doubt it. For one, Giroud didn't start in pre-season and two, Abraham's movement and pressing is better for a game at Old Trafford where United will be pushing up and trying to press our midfield and defense. Barkley mostly will start ahead of Mount but I'd love a fresh faced front 4 with Pulisic, Mount and Abraham
  2. Barkley was good. Mount was better and adds much more energy in pressing.
  3. I'd like to go with Kepa Azpi AC Luiz Emerson Kante Jorginho Pedro Mount Pulisic Abraham Barkley Giroud as options to come on. Barkley would be a great option to throw on against teams tiring in the second half
  4. Agree But to be fair, Wan Bisakka has looked really good. Hopefully Pulisic, Emerson can shut him down. Alonso would get roasted if he was starting
  5. Mount and Abraham over Barkley and Giroud Complete reset from last season please
  6. come on. Batshuayi is not a proven finisher. He is a clumsy finisher
  7. This shouldn't even be debatable right now. He's a proven finisher lol he isn't
  8. Unpopular opinion. Mount ahead of Barkley against United. Really helps the pressing game
  9. Not too worried about the misses. More worried about the shaky defense
  10. I think you should lift some of the doom and gloom. Kante in and we will toast United next week
  11. I think Tammy's control, movement is far better than Michy and it is the reason he is starting ahead of Michy in pre-season.
  12. Not talking about whether the season is tough or not but the board has hardly shown any long term planning in the last 6 years so I am skeptical about transition. It seems like there is adapting to do every year or so
  13. I am convinced by now there is no such thing as a transition season. The club, board make things up as they go along
  14. Good news. This is the season to start phasing Azpilicueta out at RB
  15. It was a Salzburg team in-season. Good test for a Chelsea team in pre-season
  16. Think Tammy is clearly the best option we have and a run of games as striker will make it evident. Giroud's lack of pace is a big concern and Batshuayi is erratic
  17. The Good No sign of Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Pulisic, Pedro and Abraham pressed well, attacked well on the counter, Pedro goal was excellent and worth seeking out Barkley had another good game, took a good pen as well Devastating counters No injuries, decent run-out for most The Bad Shaky defense, midfield. Struggled to break their press at times Mixed day out for Zouma at CB Not sure if the team can afford to be so open at the back in the league Set piece goal conceded again Zappacosta comes on and concedes penalty
  18. Nice to see Abraham is the choice of striker again. Would have preferred Mount over Barkley but both are doing well in pre-season so that competition can continue
  19. 21 in the squad today + James, RLC, CHO, Kante, Willian 26 in the final squad give or take a Zappacosta. Good squad trimming
  20. All doom and gloom in here. I think we are very much in the mix for top 4 and people are overstating Arsenal and United's business. We are rebuilding quietly under the radar without the pressure of big-money signings. Managed to add quality players like Pulisic, James, Tammy and Mount in a window with a transfer ban.
  21. Puig yes And at least Kante will be back soon. Should give us some more energy in midfield
