Exactly. It's not about Moses for CHO. Willian is a LW too. He always plays on the right because we have Hazard. It's Willian for CHO It seems that what Moses can do at RW is try to cut inside, forget he has no left foot, then try to get to the byline and slam the ball off someone not wearing a Chelsea shirt. I'm actually more interested in seeing Cesc in the Jorginho role.
-
I'm not that disappointed in the line-up. Except for Kovacic and Azpi, everyone else is the second choice at that position (I think Willian is much better on the left cutting in). If RLC was fit, It would have been nice to see him in for Kovacic.

Don't forget the legal troubles with our team doctor. When he was asked to stop parking the bus, that didn't mean drive around throwing everyone under it.

Respect, man, respect.

I agree with you. But, I think that AC will play with Cahill tomorrow. That's my guess. I, like most, would rather see AC + Ampadu.
-
At least two players that started on Thursday and Sunday will play on Wednesday. He's clearly reluctant to give some players a chance. Alonso, Kante, and Jorginho all need a day off. But, yes, I agree with you, I don't think he'll rotate much. Realistically, I think it's going to look like last Thursday's line-up, but with Cahill in for Rudiger, and Moses for Pedro.
-
I think it's wishful thinking to expect a completely different XI. Yup. It's wishful thinking. But some players have played every match and it showed on Saturday. So, yes, I'm wishing for a fully rotated side. Huge match next Saturday.

Willy Zappa - Cahill or Ampadu - AC - Emerson RLC - Fabs - Barkley Moses - Morata - CHO

Looked like a team that only had a day to recover (after that delay in getting back). No one was making runs, team just looked a little tired. It was the type of match we needed Hazard to drag us to victory, but he didn't do it in the right way. Too ponderous on the ball, IMO. Kante needs a rest, I thought he looked a little off against PAOK and again today. Hoping for a fully rotated side mid-week.
-
I'm a bit concerned for this match. Short recovery time (even shorter), and today's matches all went off without a hitch for the big teams (except Utd, but Wolves aren't exactly a typical newly promoted side). It just seems like dropped points are in the air. I hope I'm worrying about nothing and we smash them up. I'm very grateful that Hazard and Kovacic didn't even travel to Greece.
-
It was a bit worrying to see him miss that header. If he's not scoring those, he's in really big trouble.
-
He could still be a bargain (relatively speaking) next summer. BUT, if Mou is gone (likely), there's a good chance he re-signs. We need Man Utd to do just good enough.
-
There's a club option for another year. 2020.
-
I think they will get their opportunities. This was our toughest fixture of the group. I think that Sarri is very concerned about getting the team philosophy down first. Wholesale changes might result in looking like we did in preseason. Now, if we hit the end of the group stage and CHO, RLC, and Ampadu have barely played, I'll be a little disappointed then.
-
I know you despise Luiz and Love Christensen, but I have to disagree here. Rudiger was our best defender again. I thought that Christensen did his job, but nothing more. Which is fine, but not MOTM.
-
I think he's become a big name because he had the potential to be good and was available. Top teams have top strikers and top teams don't let their players leave. Especially their 30 goals a year strikers. So, if you need one, you have to pick from the rest (if you consider yourself to be a top team).
-
I was hoping. Really hoping. But, I think this is a lost cause. We're (joint) top scorers in the league and he has 1 (though it was a really good goal).
-
Besides our style of play which is coming along much quicker than I (or most) would have anticipated. I think something that's been underrated (because it's not really mentioned) is whatever Sarri is doing at half time. Besides Newcastle, which was kind of a freak goal, I don't remember any team having a sniff in the second half of our matches. Before half time against Arsenal, they were cutting balls back to the penalty spot for fun, like they were playing a video game and had found a way to score over and over (and we were lucky to not concede 4). Second half? Nothing. Last week against Cardiff, it seemed like they would launch a clearance/long ball down field and it would immediately be snuffed out. I don't recall them being on the ball much in any kind of dangerous positions. Opening match against Huddersfield, it felt like a goal was coming against them in the first half. Absolutely nothing in the second.

I was one of your doubters. hope you're right.

GET IN!
-
I was under the impression that there was a club option, for another year. I suspect that either one of Martial or Jose won't be at Utd at the start of the next season.
-
They should let him go for free then. That way they won't have to pay anything to Monaco. Simples.

I haven't watched this yet, but the other videos by this YouTube channel are usually pretty good:
