Sounds like Morata won't be starting tomorrow and while I'm okay with Cahill coming in against Qarabag, just bloody hoping that Conte doesn't permanently throw him back into the starting XI.
The thing with Zouma is that he's a back-to-the-wall kind of defender, someone who fits better in an approach where the team sit deep and defend from there. If the team play a much more progressive football, where the defenders not only have to defend (and defend higher up the pitch) but also play out from the back, then I don't think Zouma is your man for that.
I don't know what Azpi's cross completion rate is but some of our noteworthy goals in recent years have come from his crosses - Torres against Villa, Hazard at West Brom, Costa at Palace, Morata against Everton and at Leicester, Alonso against Boro.
The outrage and debate over Mane's red card is hilarious. It's a clear red all day long and yet, some can still find find excuses to say it is not a red. Had Costa done it, would there even be any debate about this?
I distinctly remember that when people accused his Real Madrid side of being defensive/a counter attacking side, he used the goals scored record as his defence. By the same token, someone should point out that Conte's Chelsea scored more goals last season than any of his Chelsea side.
If scoring 85 goals - which is the sixth highest by a Premier League title winning side - is considered to be defensive, then what to make of his teams when none scored more than 73 goals?
