Even though Hazard came out and demand the board to sign quality players, I doubt he is the only one who feels that way in the dressing room. Regarding the whole Hazard-Real Madrid thing, yes, we may have not allowed him to leave but it is within our right, no? He's still got two years left on his contract and Real Madrid have hardly even pushed for him either, despite the big price tag placed on him. Plus, while Hazard has said many times about wanting to go to Madrid, he hasn't exactly pushed for the transfer, has he? Could have handed in a transfer request to force the board's hand by now but hasn't done that at all and instead, he's decided to continue staying on. Why?

But you can't ignore it here because the only reason we are paying 70 million is due to the money we get from Real. Otherwise, do you really think we would just pay 70 million for a keeper?

I really don't get why people keep on saying we are blowing 70 million on a keeper when half of that comes from the money we get from Courtois' sale!

Sommer and Trapp are average and IIRC, Trapp was initially the first choice at PSG but then got benched after that, which says something. Navas maybe doesn't want to leave Real, even if he may lose his spot to Courtois. I'm inclined to agree with you on Cillessen and Areola but given the mess the board find themselves in and no thanks to them(!), they probably just rather pay the big release clause and get this done ASAP. Otherwise, it may well take ages to negotiate with Barcelona or PSG for their keeper. And I'm not even sure money is the issue here. We know the club have money to spend but it's just we like to be stingy bastards!

There are positives and negatives from this pre-season and it's hard to tell the state of the squad with Sarri unable to field his first XI in any of the matches. The two biggest concerns for me are (1) we have not been solid in defence at all and (2) we have hardly looked like scoring as well. Including the five matches in this pre-season, we've scored only 7 goals in last 10 games. Needs sorting out ASAP!

True and does Hazard himself really want the Real move? It seems like he can't decide for himself. He's made it clear enough times that he wants to go there but at the same time, he doesn't appear willing enough to force the move - like hand in a transfer request etc.
