  1. Can definitely see the media jumping on him if things go wrong. He's a different player compared to Hazard FFS! Just let Pulisic become a vital player for us in his own way. At the very least, with Lampard, Morris and co. around, they ain't gonna let our young players take shit from the media!
  2. Not sure how many clubs can afford him apart from PSG.
  3. Assuming that's the XI, then 3 from the 10 here are gonna be left out entirely for the subs - Caballero, Christensen, Alonso, Kante, Kenedy, Willian, Batshuayi, Giroud, Barkley, Zappacosta. Probably Willian, Batshuayi and Zappacosta.
  4. Different circumstances this time but Lampard did play Mount from the start at OT last season with Derby. Wouldn't be a surprise to see the same again.
  5. Since the starting XI is all the rage right now, think Lampard will go with this: Kepa Azpi---Zouma---Luiz---Emerson Jorginho---Kovacic Pulisic---Mount---Pedro Abraham Give or take Christensen for Zouma, Barkley for Mount and Giroud/Batshuayi for Abraham. Doubt Lampard will risk Kante from the start (might have him on the bench) and Willian is not match fit yet.
  6. He's been on vacation for the last 12 months, TBF.
  7. Should fit in with Hodgson's counter-attacking/pragmatic football.
  8. https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49243425 Crystal Palace have signed him. Surprised it's taken till now for someone to do so.
  9. Needs at least 3 years before turning 21 to be considered HG.
  10. Think if you had selected him previously, it won't be removed. But if you go the list and try to change, you'll no longer find him there.
  11. Thought people said playing well in pre-season means nothing? Or does that only apply to Chelsea?
  12. You said it'll take a few matches to see how good we really are but are freaking out over United improving on paper? Just like you said about us, let's see how they do on the field before going over the top here. Them improving on paper doesn't necessarily mean it'll translate to improvement on the pitch. As for Pogba, let's see if his head is even gonna be in Manchester this season (assuming he stays)...
  13. This talk of playing up United like they are Man City or Liverpool is silly. Yes, we have injuries and yes, we would like Rudiger and Hudson-Odoi to be fit right now but we still have enough good players to get by this game - and beyond till they return. Whether we'll win is a different debate. If you fear their new players, then god help us all. United buying AWB and Dan James is just like us taking Mount, Abraham from our academy/loan army and putting them into the team. Different positions and all that but same point applies. The only difference is United paid big money while we didn't need to. They might be talented but they are still young and don't exactly scare me right now (doesn't change either even with Maguire). Would have been a different story altogether had they signed Cancelo, James Rodriguez etc or established players. Also, how many is plenty? We only have like 3 youngsters in the squad right now. Mount, Abraham and Pulisic (James and CHO excluded due to their injury). Is that plenty? United will likely have AWB, James, Greenwood. We're almost identical in number of young players in the team. And worth remembering that United ended last season even worse than us. I know we won the Europa League but they finished 2018/19 with something like 2 wins from 12 games. Their key players were horribly out of form, players who want to leave this summer etc. So just like us, they have uncertainty hanging over them and several things to prove this season.
  14. Okay, maybe the right expression is "freaking out".
  15. When in doubt, sell to China.
  16. That's Hazard/Kante. This is Willian. Not sure why you're full-blown panicking when it's not even confirmed yet but it's funny though.
  17. @Superblue_1986 @Vesper Another example is Kante. Signed a five-year deal when he joined in 2016, which would take him up to 2021. But last year, 2018 he signed a five-year extension, taking him till 2023. The extension merely extended the expiry by 2 years. It's not 5 years added with the initial 5.
  18. Everton have signed Moise Kean. 27.5 million. 5-year-deal.
  19. Pretty sure it's that. For example, Hazard signed a five-year contract when he joined in June 2012 and then in February 2015, he signed a five-and-a-half year contract extension. His initial contract was meant to expire in the summer of 2017 and the extension extended it by 3 years. It wasn't five years added after 2017. They usually add the extension length on top of the remaining contract length left.
