  1. Can Arsenal be trusted with this 2-0 lead?
  2. Let's hope we beat Nottingham Forest first.
  3. Let's see if Arsenal turn into Arsenal again...
  4. Made me look like an idiot against LAM, of all people. I hate Kovacic for life now!
  5. Same. Getting linked and actually wanted are two different things. He has been learning English and is seemingly eyeing a job in the Premier League.
  6. aka Bakayoko. He Bakayoko-ed the game after coming on.
  7. Or Ancelotti, Hiddink 1.0, Di Matteo...all won trophies within a season or months after taking the job.
  8. Lampard disagrees with you on Kante. Kovacic was meant to be perfect for this kind of game but sadly, he turned into Bakayoko after coming on.
  9. Spoilt by all the short term success, I guess...
  10. But there are not many managers out there who you would consider top class. Pochettino is available but say if he has the option of Man City and us, do you think he would come here? Allegri is a good manager but it's debatable whether he's the right manager for the job.
  11. West Ham are fucking running riot against Bournemouth!
  12. Unless we downgrade to the likes of Pulis, Hughes, Allardyce etc, the better managers would want a bit of long term planning (e.g. 3-4 years), stability to build their team. If they're gonna get the sack over some poor results in the first season, then they might as well look elsewhere. Imagine Liverpool and Man City had sacked Klopp and Guardiola respectively over some poor results in their first seasons!
  13. Roman doesn't simply sack the manager just because of bad results/performances, as Tomo mentioned above. Sure but I think we're now at a point where most clubs take a long term view as opposed to focusing on short term winning. If managers know they can get time and patience elsewhere, why would they come here if they can't get some of the reassurances?
  14. Sure but the thing is, how many times can we get away with sacking the manager after 1-2 seasons? Who would want to come here?

  16. I'm sure the board placed objectives for Lampard to achieve this season but at the same time, I believe the club are taking a long term view to things now rather than just focus on short term winning. Results are results but progression is also key here.
  17. Regarding Di Matteo, people keep on forgetting Roman never wanted him as permanent manager to begin with but was forced to hire him because of fans' pressure after winning the Champions League and FA Cup.
