  1. Monday: *Fans on TC giving up on the club signing players* Tuesday:
  2. Tuchel apparently tried 4-2-4 in the second half against Peterborough.
  3. Because they want to cover the English/European football market? They "stole" a good number of the journalists from elsewhere 2-3 years ago.
  4. - Expected to have a medical in the next few days - Will sign a 2-year deal - Has been highly regarded by the club for some time and they looked into buying him before acquiring Caballero in 2017
  5. Swansea are considering Jody Morris, according to The Athletic.
  6. DANNY DRINKWATER TO THE RESCUE!
  7. The irony is that Tuchel has not come out and said he wants a ST, has he? It's all just paper talk since the end of last season. Anyway realistically speaking, while the transfer window may close only on August 31, if there's still nothing moving regarding Haaland after this week or next week, then I doubt a move is gonna happen because the season is starting very soon for Dortmund and selling him then would leave them very little time to find a capable replacement.
  8. Just curious, are you really obsessed with what's going on with our transfer dealings everyday? Seems unhealthy. 😅
  9. Gilmour did not "die" for this...
  10. But Haaland still does the most damage by scoring inside the box, no? And as people keep mentioning it last time and all, it's great that one gets all the space in the world in the Bundesliga but what happens when one doesn't like in the Premier League (since we want him)? Haaland is not going to be able to just run from the halfway line and just charge into the box unchallenged here.
  11. TBF, his initial contract was only 18 months and I believe the club did the right thing to extend it, to give him that bit of security and ensure that there is no doubt over his position going into the new season. What I have a slight issue is that the contract extension is until 2024, instead of say 2023 but I suppose the club won't have any issues paying the compensation if they have to sack him.
  12. Don't get me wrong. I've alluded to here a lot that I don't think this deal will happen this summer but the stories keep persisting - maybe partly because people need the clicks, views etc as nothing much is going on - and then there's the whole argument that Dortmund won't say no if we suddenly do throw in a £150 million bid. Do you think Dortmund will say no if we throw in that bid?
  13. If you wanna talk about goals inside the box and all, then only ONE of Haaland's Bundesliga goals have come from outside the box and even that took a slight deflection. Plus almost all his goals have come on the end of a teammate's good play... And remember all the talk of Werner's Bundesliga goals happened mostly because of the amount of space he got etc? Yeah, just look at the space that Haaland also got for his goals. Maybe you could argue that Haaland is more clinical than Werner but then again, both have scored similar amount of goals and missed similar amount of big chances in the Bundesliga.
  14. Cue more Haaland to Chelsea stories.....
  15. Has been voted Germany's Manager of the Year, ahead of Hansi Flick and Edin Terzic.
  16. From what I've just read, that fella seems somewhat reliable but there are too many question marks over those details mentioned...
  17. Havertz, Werner, Rudiger, Kante, Kovacic, Zouma, Batshuayi are back...
  18. Tuchel is probably just happy that he doesn't have to deal with massive egos and play politics here like he had to with Neymar, Mbappe etc at PSG.
  19. You mentioned Loftus-Cheek…so, I couldn’t be 100% sure. 😆
  20. I don't think Liverpool rejected Werner per se. It was due to the finances when the pandemic suddenly hit last year. I mean, everyone was expecting him to join Liverpool/Liverpool to sign him but they couldn't pay the release clause upfront because of the pandemic. They ended up getting Jota instead because there was no release clause involved, meaning Liverpool could pay the transfer fee in installments.
  21. Conte using Lukaku and Van Dijk to justify his idea was right for the club is hilarious considering he also wanted some awful players. If the club hadn't bought their deadwoods, we would have just ended up with Conte's. Anyway, Van Dijk said this on why he chose to go Liverpool... https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8490675/Van-Dijk-reveals-Jurgen-Klopp-reason-chose-Liverpool-SNUBBED-Man-City-Chelsea.html 'I had the chance to go to Chelsea and Man City. 'When you compare the clubs, you look at the history, the town, the current squad, their plans for the near future. 'But the most important thing you look at is the manager – and Jurgen Klopp is an important reason why I chose for Liverpool. 'Klopp has something special. Is it his energy? Is it his overall image? I sometimes sit and think about what he does and what he has more than others. 'I think it is his man-management. These days that is more important than anything in football. 'Klopp gives you this great feeling. He is genuinely happy when you walk into the club in the morning. It may sound daft, but that really inspires you as a player.'
