But the reputation of Lampard, Drogba, Anelka is different to Giroud, Barkley, Alonso, Pedro in each different team's dressing room, no? I agree on Giroud and Pedro. But I don't think there's any wrong with his use of Barkley and Alonso. Barkley had his disciplinary issues earlier this season and his injury problems. Alonso played well at times but also had disastrous performances at times and had injuries. Them two haven't been tossed aside like Giroud/Pedro.

Perhaps so but given our last 2 results and we have a free week coming up, it's probably understandable why Lampard went with the strongest XI possible. We need to make sure we do the business today and not make things worse!

But the drop off in Sanchez and Torres had to do with injuries/physical exertions etc. That's not the case with Eriksen, is it? And for the record, I never said Eriksen's behavior at Spurs is a good example. Each player reacts differently but it's not a good look for sure.

Do you have something against Sanchez? Why do you seem to dislike him so much? I think the Eriksen's situation is different from Sanchez's. Eriksen is only 27 and is in his peak years and while it's not a good look on him, I believe his lack of motivation is due to the fact that he doesn't want to be at Spurs. With Sanchez, I think it's a case of his body just gave up on him after his endless exertions with club and country over the years. Over the last decade or so, I think he had less than 3 summer breaks. Otherwise, he played a lot for Barcelona and Arsenal and god knows how many tournaments with Chile. If anything, it's a surprise that he didn't break down sooner, especially when you consider his playing style on top of the lack of proper rest.
