  1. The cricket seasons in UK are delayed until August but the Premier League is gonna restart in June... $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  2. I do not know where you are getting this winger talk from because I have not seen any. If he is going to play out wide, it would be an inside forward like he has been doing at RB Leipzig. Furthermore, given Lampard likes to be flexible and change the system/formation around, Werner's ability to play in different attacking positions or roles would come in very handy. Also you said he is not as good as this player or that player but the way I look at it is, if we were to get him (HA!), we would not only be buying him for the immediate period but also long term. He is only 24 years old and there is still plenty of room for him to grow and improve. I do not understand why people seem fixated with the notion a player cannot become better, adapt, improve etc especially when they are still young in their career. All those players you alluded to were not perfect when they were younger. They got better as they continued their development year in year out and someone like Mane was not as good 4-5 years ago as he is now. I am sure even you would have taken note how much Werner has improved since his Stuttgart days and he certainly does seem like someone with the ambition to get better.
  3. Maybe I'm underestimating the financial situation but seriously, WHAT THE FUCK?! Are the clubs so badly hit that they can't even fork out around 50 million?!
  4. Fair points but I guess what I was trying to say is what if the big price tag hadn't been placed on Chilwell to begin with? Would expectations had been different? Would people be a bit more receptive to the potential signing? Because I got the feeling people don't want Chilwell mainly because of the big price tag. Sure he is by no means perfect at the moment but he is only 24 years old this year and there still plenty of room to grow and improve. And just to give another similar example - Andrew Robertson, who Liverpool bought for like less than 10 million (IIRC) and has become their first choice left back and arguably one of the best left backs around right now.
  5. Maybe I'm just underestimating the financial hit caused by the pandemic but I'd find it stupid if any club pass up the opportunity to sign Werner for around 50 million (he would be even cheaper than some of our recent big money signings and cheaper than Morata!). That is stupidly cheap when you consider the price tags that get thrown around in the transfer market (pre-pandemic). IF Liverpool aren't playing any long game here and really value him below 30 million, then we better fucking try to go get him!
  6. Most likely but IF Liverpool are stupid enough, then maybe, just MAYBE...
  7. "Liverpool have a good relationship with RB Leipzig, but they now value him at significantly less than £30m." Don't know whether to laugh or cry at that...
  8. If Chilwell costs say around 30-40 million, would you take him? I'm neither pro or anti Chilwell here but what I would say is, some times signing the less obvious players can turn out to be a good thing. I know we have had Zappacosta and average players in those categories but we also have the likes of Azpi, Ivanovic and even Cahill as good examples.
  9. I listened to the podcast and they were talking in the context of a striker. So...
  10. It's Home S̶w̶e̶e̶t̶ Shit Home in the Bundesliga since the restart. 3 home wins and 12 away wins out of 22 games played.
  11. Big signing in terms of what? A big name? Or big money spent on an average player?
  12. I really don't know how Dortmund can have someone like Burki in goal. He's so not reliable. Always has a mistake in him.
  13. Der Klassiker has been a good watch so far. I don't know whether you have it but there's artificial crowd noise and it's making it bearable to watch.
  14. He just returned from a calf injury, if you didn't know. It's crazy how often Dortmund players get injured.
